Not only Gray, but I happened to catch Couture absolutely flatten a BC guy and then nail him while he was still on the ground. Nasty

Yeah, I read the same thing somewhere, a chalkboard or sign board or something..

Now humorously known as the polar-Carter maneuver...

M. Nichols - This is a remarkable statistic. 31-15 record as a starter since replacing Drew Willy in late July of 2016 and has a 67-30 touchdown-to-interception ratio.

E n I g m a - that’s how you spell Carter. H e s I t a t I o n - that’s how you spell no respect. It’s football. That ball was catchable. The hit was inevitable. Everybody’s was watching. S e r I o u s l y - nobody will take Carter seriously unless he himself does. Another team, another opportunity. This was going to be the team. This was going to be the QB. Mr Carter, Mr Carter. I’ve got my 👁 on you, but it looks like I don’t know how to spell - last chance.

Oh Saskatchewan, did you ever F.U. We all know the circumstances that led them back to Zach Collaros but, knowing what they did with Collaros, they opted to go inexperienced behind him at QB. Hello Mr Glenn. Yes, they should have signed Glenn..right from the start. Cody scmody. Develop Harker #3 and you still have a chance of winning with Glenn should something happen 🤕 to Zach. Now, they offer him peanuts in a paper cup and he says no thanks. Well, I guess there’s always Brandon Bridge. Right?

I would say unequivocally that Matt Nichols played a huge role in winning that game. Before you say Andrew Harris, I’ll say “I know, I know”, BUT Matt showed us the ability to scramble, turning last year’s probable 6 points (2 fgs) into 14 points. And after a bit of a slow start, he was throwing nice passes, caught, and yac yardage gained. It was a well called game by LaPo, but still, you have to execute. And our QB did. After all a QB rating of 108.65 is not bad at all..

Hamilton Tiger-Cats linebacker Simoni Lawrence has been suspended two games for his hit to the head of Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback Zach Collaros in his team’s season opener Thursday, the league announced on Monday. Hey Simoni, we’re sorry. We didn’t mean it.

No, you’re wasting our time..

Get a grip Rip. Fill your boots? Now that the Riders are in that very precarious position in the QB situation, sarcastically taking shots at a successful QB who is winning games in our system, seems petty. But I understand, your season is already in jeopardy and deflecting is a defence mechanism. Wading in the CFL waters without a starting QB. You only wish you had boots.

Yeah, I was looking at that. That could be very interesting and would help settle some “discussions”

I’m liking the new defensive stats put out by Nik Kowalski...

I’m going to go with Nichols scrambling abilities on 2 of those TDs. Busted coverage indicates poor cover by the DBs. Clearly, our intended receivers were initially covered but Nichols did extend the play, therefore giving the receivers time to lose their cover guys. Score those two for Nichols .

👁🗨 I won’t include the Argos, but, in my powder rankings, I have Winnipeg - most convincing winning team Edmonton - efficient, if not a little fortunate Ottawa - too surprised to comment. They’ll tumble further in the future Hamilton - not looking like a #1 team, but then again, look who’s in their division Saskatchewan - very good defence....but Calgary - an anomaly I assume. They’re down this far because that’s how they played this week. BC - one dimension only works if you’re the lead singer for the 5th dimension Montreal. - they’ll definitely look better this next week..(bye week)

CFL America Films and TV (Who?) Power Ranking week one. Am I wrong? @CFL_News @CFLPodcasts @CFL_4_Ever @CFLonTSN @CFL_Headlines @cfl_memes @2guys1greycup @cfldb 1. Bombers 2. Edmonton 3. Ottawa 4. Hamilton 5. Stamps 6. Lions 7. Riders 8. Montreal 9. Argos 👁🗨 I won’t include the Argos, but, in my powder rankings, I have Winnipeg Edmonton Ottawa Hamilton Saskatchewan Calgary BC Montreal. Anybody else?

We won because: Harris was Harris Nichols shook off a little rust, then threw with authority Bomber players covered for each other Made mistakes but overcame them Never stopped playing Turned a blocked convert into a momentum changing 2 point slap on BC Wolitarsky scored TDs. BC didn’t 10 minutes more possession time. We weren’t chicken **** We overcame some iffy calls We turned BC into a one dimensional team I could go on...
-
Are you sure it wasn’t like 13? Yah, they could have had like, 80 more yards.. And, is that why the Bombers won?
-
Pigskin coverage Outrageous play of the game? Sayles block on the convert attempt when BC scored their TD, Then Alexander snags the ball and smartly tosses it back to Fenner who takes it all the way to the end zone for 2 points. The Bombers tied the game at 23 and owned the Lions thereafter. Huge shift in emotion and momentum. So yes, Fenner got beat on that TD but it was he who deflected the ball for Hecht 1st interception. And had 6 tackles.. We, who believed in Kiere Wilson, are smiling at his play. We hope he’s OK. And boy, is he fast, catching Burnham like that. Impressive. 8th round draft pick, Exumé. Bolts into the ST tackle lead with 5 Good sustained drives by the Bombers. Andrew Harris is not finished. Good call by Hecht to alert O’Shea to that pass that Reilly threw that hit the ground. And you know what? That O-Line, that did so well yesterday, will only get better. A real nice turnaround for Matt Nichols in that game. Threw some real beauty passes. TOP Bombers 35:06 Total rushing yards for B.C. 4 , ahem, that’s total- 4 The league’s two $700,000 quarterbacks both lose at home in Week 1. - Rob Vanstone 1st time ever I heard of too many men...by both teams, on the same play. Red zone production was rewarding last night for the Bombers.. ....... should I try to catch that? The question was posed: Which winning team impressed you the most in Week ☝️? Response? - Ottawa .........Really? Nice to see Matthias Goossen at the game supporting his former team.. The #BCLions sold just 18,058 tickets to their season-opener. That's a 10 percent drop from last year's opener (20,182). #Bombers #CFL - John Hodge Mike Reilly - 22/39 56.4% 324 1 2 56 lg Matt Nichols- 21/33 63.6% 184 3 0 43 lg Game of the week, and we won!
