-
Starting lineup.. Bombers have 85 players they have to make a decision on including 53 Import and 32 Nationals Bombers brought 62 players to Regina.
-
Bombers haven’t been 2-0 in the preseason since 1995. Double bonus if the Bombers’ prospects shine.. and win.

I’m in on Este. 3 tackles and 2 ST tackles last game. He looked to be in the right spot (where he should be). I also do like Lawler. Este, Lawler. I like these guys makeup..

I want Zach to play just enough, and get hurried, and hit just enough, so that he fears playing us for the rest of the year. No live streaming? Well, how about ..live screaming 😱

Ed Tait The #Bombers lineup for tomorrow in Regina... no Bighill, Jefferson, Jeffcoat, Nevis, Matthews, Gaitor, Hardrick, Neufeld, Alexander, Sayles, Demski 11 starters out for preseason. I’m alright with that. For now. Ted Wyman - Gabriel Ortiz will get a chance to handle all of the kicking in final pre-season game at #Riders. #CFL

Bombers can only stream a game from IG Field and Regina only has dial up, so they can’t stream anything..😀

Canadian football Hall of Fame running back Eric Lapointe and his group have been in discussions with the CFL to purchase the Montreal Alouettes, according to Le Journal de Montreal reporter Marc De Foy. Commissioner Randy Ambrosie and the board of governors were having exclusive conversations with one potential group in recent days and it’s led by Lapointe. The Alouettes were officially sold to the league on Friday, May 31. https://3downnation.com/2019/06/05/cfl-currently-negotiating-sale-of-the-alouettes-with-eric-lapointes-group-report/

48-HOUR PRIMER: (who else but Ed Tait) All of that is a roundabout way of saying this Thursday’s final preseason game in Saskatchewan against the Roughriders is absolutely, positively massive for those either on the bubble for a roster spot, or trying to lock down work as a starter. “When you have a competitive training camp like ours with lots of depth, then there are guys who are battling hard for roster spots,” O’Shea said Tuesday. Cornerbacks (x2): Chandler Fenner has been moved from the Dime/SAM linebacker spot to the field corner and looks to have one of the two jobs. Winston Rose was superb early in camp before pulling up with an injury. With Rose down – as well as Chris Humes, who started one game for the club last year – and reps available, Amari Coleman has been getting a lot of work there with the starting defence. In addition to the above, still in camp and possible corner candidates (not including halfbacks Brandon Alexander and Marcus Sayles) are import defensive backs Mike Jones, Joe Este, Tyneil Cooper, Marcus Rios, Elijah Battle and Malik Boynton. Receiver (1): Four members of what would be a five-receiver set are locked in with Darvin Adams and Chris Matthews (although he is currently injured) along with Canadians Nic Demski and Drew Wolitarsky. Still standing along with Kenny Lawler and Rasheed Bailey are Tim Wilson, Matt Hazel, Kenny Walker, Lucky Whitehead and Charles Nelson. Offensive line (2; centre/guard): Lock in Stanley Bryant, Jermarcus Hardrick and Patrick Neufeld (who has yet to practice, but is expected to be ready for Week 1) along the O-line. Still remaining: The development of Gray, Desjarlais and Speller has fuelled the notion the Bombers could go all-Canadian on the interior, with Tui Eli also there for depth. But don’t yet rule out the notion of there being three Americans up front, either for Week 1 or down the road. There are still four other import linemen in camp in Jamar McGloster, Israel Helms, Tanner Farmer and Delroy Baker, Jr. No. 3 quarterback: Bryan Bennett looked very comfortable in his action in last week’s preseason game against Edmonton. But newcomer Sean McGuire had his moments, too, completing six of 10 passes for 69 yards. If it’s about the now, then Bennett offers so much aside from his QB skills, including serving as the holder on placekicks and covering kicks on special teams. Yet, if it’s about the long-term, consider that McGuire is just 23 and just getting his feet wet in the three-down game. https://www.bluebombers.com/2019/06/04/48-hour-primer-wpg-ssk-4/

Coach’s Show - June 3 Typical show. Centre battle is close - Michael Couture, Cody Speller. Desjarlais and Gray...playing well. Looking nasty. Foketi - hopeful that he’ll be in their plans. 👁🗨Myself, I don’t see it. Thompkins - Just hard to get a hold of him. 👁🗨I think he’s gone. Eli - picking up the game very well after sitting out a year. “Lot of upside on players. Be very hard to keep them all. For now, and the building a future roster.” - O’Shea Bye week in second week allows decisions to allow nicked up players to heal another week with their present roster. 👁🗨In case there’s any doubt.. “It’s Nichols team. Streveler will play a huge part for this team.” Bennett and McGuire will play Thursday. Key areas to focus on Thursday- o-line, dbs, receivers, QB.

Looks like the project didn’t work out..

Day 15 Recap Bombers head coach Mike O’Shea confirmed that Matt Nichols will see action this Thursday in Saskatchewan in the final preseason tune-up before the real games begin. The Bombers QB depth chart looks solid with Nichols and Streveler 1-2, and Bennett and McGuire battling for the third spot. Bennett does a ton of extra stuff on special teams, but there is a lot to like about McGuire, who attended the club’s free-agent camp in Florida in April before attending rookie mini-camps with the Minnesota Vikings and Miami Dolphins. McGuire was six of 10 for 69 yards in Friday’s game and certainly looked comfortable delivering strikes and moving around the pocket. Charles Nelson, who left practice on Sunday and was not on the field on Monday, will be further evaluated by doctors. O’Shea said he wasn’t sure if he would be available Thursday but was hopeful he could suit up… https://www.bluebombers.com/2019/06/03/notes-camp-day-15-recap/

Chris Streveler Fleet-footed Bombers’ sophomore Streveler working on becoming well-rounded quarterback.. “I definitely don’t ever go into a play thinking, ‘OK, I’m gonna run it on this play,’” Streveler said. “You’ve got to go through your reads and then if things break down, it’s definitely a tool that you have in your toolbox. If things don’t look right or things are breaking down, you can incorporate that into your game.” “I’m never saying on any particular play, ‘I can’t wait to run.’ You’re a quarterback and however you can put a drive together and move the ball, that’s your job.” While Streveler says he doesn’t want to “overuse or rely” on his scrambling ability, O’Shea doesn’t see that as an issue. “I think he’s pretty damn good,” O’Shea said. “His style of play and his game are very effective for him and for us. If it was a case where he’s missing touchdowns all over the field, you would show him those and he would learn from them, but that’s not the case. He’s gained enough experience to know the times to stand in and throw and the times to take off and go. He’s very effective in that regard.” https://winnipegsun.com/sports/football/cfl/winnipeg-bluebombers/fleet-footed-bombers-sophomore-streveler-working-on-becoming-well-rounded-quarterback#click=https://t.co/kLUBoLX9EX 👁🗨Can’t wait to see what’s in store for Streveler this year with a particular set of plays designed with him in mind..
