Jefferson and Jeffcoat.. "I think the sky's the limit for them," Glen Young said. "I can't even tell you how much fun it's been for me to watch it as it's been developing through training camp. They're so different, but they're so effective." "[Jefferson's] presence is going to make a difference for us," Young said. "To have him and Jackson coming off the edge is going to be such a tremendous asset for us. "Being here now and seeing how practice goes, seeing how the coaches are with the players and how interactive they are outside of the locker-room, it's nice here," said Jefferson, 28, a CFL all-star the past two seasons. https://www.cbc.ca/amp/1.5149646?__vfz=medium%3Dsharebar&__twitter_impression=true

All’s I know is that it’s a delightful ‘problem’ to have.
-
Man, what an eventful past two days. Missing threads and now missing personnel.
-
I can maybe understand the media missing an unknown Import skinny obscure rookie. But it seems everybody knows Foketi. 7 days in...no questions about him. Thats just too odd.

Demski’s pumped.. “Last year I was a vet coming into a new team,” began Demski the other day in a chat with bluebombers.com. “I knew I had to come in here, work hard and prove myself and get comfortable with the playbook. This year is night and day with that. Obviously I’m still going to come out here and work hard, but I’m as comfortable as ever with this playbook. I’m comfortable with what LaPo (offensive coordinator Paul LaPolice) sees with this offence and what he wants to get done out here. “I made that adjustment last year. This year it’s about hitting it in full stride and taking off and running.” “It’s funny, a lot of people say the reason I came back was because it’s my hometown. That’s true, but it’s also just icing on the cake,” said Demski. “For me, I can’t wait to get that ultimate goal and bring it back to this city. I want to do right by this city. We’ve got a lot of Winnipeg guys here and it’s something we talked about all offseason. It’s time to do it now.” https://www.bluebombers.com/2019/05/24/want-right-city-demski-playing-hometown/

Hope there’s nothing serious developing in these injuries..

Still unbelievable, isn’t it?

Should have had a whole new thread to keep us in the loop..😁

If there was an area where there would be roster moves, I didn’t even consider it being in the area of import O-Linemen. I guess you always have to keep on the offensive..

Day 6 Recap - Ed Tait Chris Humes “I got some really good reps in last year competing at a number of spots,” said the 24-year-old product of Birmingham, AL and Arkansas State. “That slowed game down a lot for me, because coming from the States there is a little learning curve. I’m comfortable now. “There are different concepts, playing with 12 (men), the ‘Waggle’, recognizing splits and depths. Once you get past the little hurdles you come out and make plays.” The Bombers defence has been rotating a number of players through the secondary in the first week of camp, with Winston Rose and Chandler Fenner now getting a lot of work at corner with the ones. But Humes is still in that mix. RB Brady Oliveira has been on the practice field for less than 10 days as a pro and the positive reviews keep pouring in for the Winnipeg product. “He’s good. He’s really good,” said head coach Mike O’Shea. “You see how stout he is. He’s got good feet and he’s shown everybody that he’s got the speed that we were hoping and thought he might. “He’s smart, he’s learning and he’s turning into a pro spending a lot of time making sure he’s learning the stuff that is maybe a little newer to him. He’s pretty complete. Running on the inside he can make people miss in a pretty small space for a big guy like that, for a guy of his weight, is pretty nifty to see. That’s all good. He can play the tackler a few different ways.” Asked about the secondary, Richie Hall : “We were in a staff meeting last night and there are a lot of guys that have caught our eyes. There have been some surprises and the guys have just continued to work to get better and that’s what you want.” Among those who stood out were DB Brandon Alexander, WR Lucky Whitehead, CB Chandler Fenner. https://www.bluebombers.com/2019/05/24/notes-camp-day-6-recap/

It’s not really that hard. This forum lays it out for you. Any unread info that you haven’t looked at is marked for you. Pretty easy to follow or not. Your choice. And besides, where are you gonna get Bomber news that is relevant?

Desperate? Geez, I’m even going to listen to the bloody radio broadcast of B.C. vs Edmonton on Sunday.

On Chris Mathews: “Out of the 20-odd completions over a couple of periods, maybe 17 went to him,” a grinning Nichols said. “It seemed like we’re on the right page with everything. Obviously, he brings something different to our offence and something that’s going to cause some people problems.” As safety Derek Jones put it: “You can be on his hip and his arms are so long and he’s so strong, he can make a play anyway.” Over on the dirty side of the ball, working just as hard to learn a new defence is the one-of-a-kind Jefferson, who bolted the Riders as a free agent to sign a one-year deal with Winnipeg. “He’s that player that coaches drool over,” is how D-lineman Jackson Jeffcoat described the 28-year-old. “He was a highlight reel,” D-lineman Jake Thomas acknowledged. “But I wasn’t sure how he’d be as a person. He’s a perfect person. He’s going to fit in great with this group. And his field play will speak for itself.” https://winnipegsun.com/sports/football/cfl/winnipeg-bluebombers/the-tower-and-the-freak-making-bombers-better-already#click=https://t.co/YM1Nk67qTi

Day 5 Recap It took Jackson Jeffcoat roughly, oh, a nanosecond to appreciate what the addition of Willie Jefferson would mean not only to the Bombers D-line, but helping with his game, too. More good words about Richardson. And Jefferson and Mathews, and their leadership. Among those standing out on Thursday were WR Rashaun Simonise, S Derek Jones, DE Craig Roh, DE Patrick Choudja, CB Chandler Fenner, WR Kenny Lawler… DB Alex Rios had to leave practice after being drilled by RB Brady Oliveira. LS Chad Rempel was back on the field, after being heavily involved in collective bargaining agreement talks as a key figure in the CFL Players’ Association. “It can be contentious and challenging. But I think, most importantly, both sides wanted to get a deal done and we truly feel like this is a partnership moving forward. We’ve worked through it and everybody’s happy. It’s a fair deal for everyone.” https://www.bluebombers.com/2019/05/23/notes-camp-day-5-recap/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
