I’m hurt...

Couldn’t we have offered a first round draft pick to at least talk to Mike Reilly? (heh, heh)
-
Derel and Walker are synonymous. He was out 6-8 weeks with a knee injury.
-
Thank you...

I suppose if you want to get sticky about it, you are probably right but This new league might have already had an effect on the CFL and the Bombers..it’s just we haven’t identified the areas where it does crossover. So, one could argue that there is relevance to this thread being right where it is, especially at this time of year.

Brandon Alexander please..

Mike Reilly - BC BO Levi Mitchell - Toronto Trevor Harris - Ottawa, Saskatchewan Jonathan Jennings - Saskatchewan, Edmonton In the mix...Travis Lulay, Zach Collaros, Kevin Glenn, Ricky Ray?

In case you’re wondering why so many empty seats for @TheAAF‘s first game in Arizona where it’s 62°... asking $200 for sideline seats and $57 for end zone seats - Thomas Galvin

👁🗨It looks like the NFL network isn’t panning the crowd for some reason. Either it’s a fixed camera and it’s out of their scope or..they don’t want you to see the crowd. 👁🗨I’m not saying there’s not many fans at the Salt Lake - Arizona Alliance game, but the announcer mentions them by their names. 👁🗨Those announcers are pretty dull. Time to leave this game.
-
Its no coincidence, for example, that the two teams most interested in Mike Reilly, Edmonton and BC, have the fewest of their own Free agents signed. 5 and 3 respectively. The Bombers have inked 14. ( these numbers are days old now) So, sacrifices have to be make in other areas. The dynamics have changed for signing big name free agents especially with the amounts they’re talking.

👁🗨Um, personally I can see why some of these guys are playing in this league.. 👁🗨The commentators sure are trying hard to make this game sound like it’s a good game.. 👁🗨I was led to believe that, in this league because of the rules, there would hardly be any scores of 13-3..that’s it’s too offensie-oriented to have low scores. Well, I get the offensive part so far. 👁🗨I’m bored..switching to hockey..

His name is now Bercovc..as his eyes were knocked a little funny

I think they only get one play to get the 12 yards and This play can only be used by a team trailing by 17 points or more (a three-possession game) with five or fewer minutes remaining in regulation. The onside conversion play will also be available after any safety, played from the 18-yard line 👁🗨 I think they’re trying too hard with these “innovative rules”
-
Exactly. Why can’t they just play football? And more: 15 yard penalty for those defensive infractions. All teams must attempt two-point conversions after each touchdown; there will be no extra point kicks. There will be no kickoffs; possession at the start of each half, and after scores, will begin on a team's own 25-yard line The play clock will run only 35 seconds In lieu of an onside kick, a team can keep possession of the ball by attempting a scrimmage play from their own 28-yard line and gaining at least 12 yards.

5:30PT San Diego Fleet at San Antonio Commanders CBS Restrictions on defensive formations: (1) no more than five players may rush on passing plays; (2) any player who aligns on the line of scrimmage either prior to or at the snap is designated as one of the five players regardless of whether he rushes; (3) no defensive player may rush from a position more than two yards outside the widest offensive lineman and more than five yards from the line of scrimmage (they’ll call it the “defensive pressure box”); (4) a player is deemed eligible to rush if he has both feet inside the box at the snap; (5) no more than four players may rush from the same side of the ball; (6) adjacent linebackers may not rush from the same side of the ball; and (7) two or more linebackers aligned between the offensive guards may not rush. So, basically, up to five players can rush the passer and each of those five players must be aligned within two yards of the widest offensive lineman and five yards of the line of scrimmage. This means that there will be no corner blitzes. There will be no delayed blitzes from linebackers and safeties. There will be no double-A gap blitzes. 👁🗨 These restrictions are supposed to save QBs..the lifeline of any team, but holy geez, talk about borderline confusion for the refs.

It will get lost in translation if it has to be explained..

The man is doing things to give the CFL more exposure and opening up possibities for future development of players, and more importantly, revenue streams. Better than sitting and waiting for the football world to pass us by while we wait for things to happen. We need more forward thinking like this. Absolutely no harm in talking and exploring this avenue.

Points after: 👁🗨“Vancouver Whitecaps averaged 18,211 per game, while the B.C. Lions drew an average 14,769.” - Mike Beamish BUT According to published #CFL figures, #BCLions averaged 19,975 fans (avg. increase of 800 from 2017) in 2018 season. That’s a significant difference from the average 14,769 reported by PavCo (BC Place landlord) in freedom of information figures. 👁🗨Fun Fact: The two #Bombers QBs who backed up Ryan Dinwiddie at the 95th Grey Cup are now NFL head coaches. 👀 (h/t @EdTaitWFC) 👁🗨Fenner bender - restructuring his contract with the Bombers to free up $ is telling.. 👁🗨 The Rams were the 11th highest scoring team in NFL history. None of the 11 highest-scoring teams in history ever won a championship. 👁🗨Wilson is a good re-signing 👁🗨Former Manitoba Bisons star, Israel Idonije, has nothing but praise for the CFL reaching a strategic partnership with the German Football League (GFL) designed to grow the game in both countries. - http://bit.ly/2TqZhIJ Mike Beamish - A decade ago, #BCLions offered #SuperBowl53 MVP Julian Edelman a three-year, incentive-laden contract to play QB in the CFL. He considered it before waiting out the draft. “I didn’t know whether I could play in the (NFL),” Edelman admitted. His mom, Angie, is from Kitchener, Ont. 👁🗨200,000 for a safety is loffable. Percentage of Free Agent players signed: Former #Bombers Canadian OL Matthias Goossen joins #Delta Police Department 3downnation.com And where is he in this photo? At centre of course.. 👁🗨Sure glad the Bombers aren’t in QB limbo like some teams are.. 👁🗨CFL teams can afford a $700,000 QB? Really? Or is it Reilly? 👁🗨Is the upcoming Free Agency period, starting next week, going to be the most curious one yet?

Taylor “Lofty Ask” Loffler cannot be serious with that expectation. Neither can Hodge. Although I did see better play from him last year, I’ve considered him more of a sightseer, looking for that all-star hit. And that’s what got noticed. If that’s the best the league has in the West, then that position has fallen off badly. Bombers and Loffler miles apart? Good. That’s a good safety cheque.
-
If we were to have a circumstance where we were to lose Goossen, then this is the preferred scenario. A win for Goossen, and while a blow for the Bombers, certainly not a travesty. And to show the class to have informed the Bombers beforehand speaks volumes. (are you paying attention mr Durant?)

The MBB All-Time Blue Bomber Team: Defensive Ends
Mr Dee replied to TrueBlue4ever's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Jon Ryan was an instant favourite, and for good reason. But Bob ’drywall dust’ Cameron definitely was the best punter the Bombers ever employed. So reliable..so consistent. Wind? What wind? It didn’t bother Cameron. He was like another Coach out there - he knew the game so well. And ball placement was probably invented by Cameron.
