Jones: (in his head) wow, Zach got popped there pretty good, but we have to win going forward. I should just whistle and pretend the next play is more important.
-
And now the CFL has spoken: No kidding..

Zach Collaros. A guy who has known issues with concussions is whacked hard enough to see watermelons floating above his head. He definitely had his bell rung. My issue after that hit is why the hell did they allow him to continue playing? Did the game’s spotter go out for a Diet Coke? He should have been pulled then and there. *Joel Gaston, from 3 Down Nation, reports it’s the 3rd time Collaros has been pulled for a head injury. They let him finish the series? Ridiculous.

Collaros , oh oh Concussion, oh oh oh oh He’s flown way up to the clouds Away from the maddening crowds We can gasp in the strike of a star that we know of Where players lose a piece of their mind And leave the confusion and all disillusion behind Concussion..no no no no. With apologies to Volore Songwriters: Domenico Modugno / Francesco Migliacci

My post is not hard to follow..

They got credit for 2 wins, but Bomber fans would not say they beat us twice..

The Montreal Alouettes announced on Sunday that the club has extended international quarterbacks Antonio Pipkin, Vernon Adams Jr. and Jeff Mathews‘ contracts. Adams Jr. and Pipkin signed two-year extensions and will remain with the Alouettes in 2019 and 2020, while Mathews signed a one-year deal through 2019. https://en.montrealalouettes.com/2018/10/28/alouettes-extend-quarterbacks-antonio-pipkin-vernon-adams-jr-jeff-mathews-contracts/

Collaros is under concussion protocol now. Interesting to see what happens..
-
I don’t get it. A guy known for a history of concussions is not taken out for concussion protocol? Where’s the logic in that? I’d like to know who bailed on that decision.

One thing about the live mic. It finally explains to me the reason Chris Jones called out Dickenson at midfield after one of their games a couple of years ago. We overheard Jones say “win with some class” or words to that effect. I thought Jones was just being a sissy pants because they lost, but now I figure it was because Dickenson was being whiny in a game they were winning. Now, this is conjecture on my part but after hearing Dickey boy in the game last night, I’m not so sure I’m wrong..

He’s not wrong. We’ve had the best field position to start drives in the league. This somewhat explains Nichol’s low passing yardage as the field was shorter. But last night was the opposite. We lost the field advantage as their return game was better than ours and the net punting was in Calgary’s favour also.

The Morning After...With Coffee 👁🗨Calgary quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell lost a third-straight game for the first time in his CFL career. 👁🗨 can’t stop thinking that there’s a little less twang in his accent today.. 👁🗨I do really want to see if we have a k/r in Nelson as we need help there. But where to fit him in the lineup? 👁🗨Thank you Chris Matthews for stretching for more yardage. That wasn’t smart or necessary. J Santos-Knox forced a turnover and the Bombers were on their way to a FG to tie the game. 👁🗨Curse you Chris Matthews for that 60 yard reception that led to a TD. Stamps 9-6 👁🗨A strong Bomber defensive stand held the Stamps to 3 points after a Demski fumble, where his own teammate knocked it loose at the 25 yard line. Key play - a pass knock down by K. Fogg. It’s not a stretch to say this was a turning point for the Bombers. 12-3 as opposed to 16-3. That stop was huge. 👁🗨12-6 halftime score. In the past, it was never a good sign when trailing heading into the 3rd Q. But a 50 yard bomb to Adams helped change that. And then after the Stamps scored, a 60 yard pass to Wolitarsky showed where we’re at Offensively. 👁🗨Then, Bighill took over and forced yet another fumble. Another Bomber FG and an 11 point lead. 👁🗨Aren’t those 3rd down gambles nerve-wracking? I believe I would have punted. O’Shea’s not scared though and says he would do it again. That’s 3 - 3rd down failures that I can recall, and the 1st 2 almost cost us the playoffs. 👁🗨Then..the bobble at the goal line by Rogers. A slight bobble while attempting the catch at the goal line cost the Stamps a TD. A call either way couldn’t be overturned. It was too close. 👁🗨LaPo - a well called game. You deserve credit for this one! 👁🗨Can’t forget R. Hall, who’s always being slammed. Lots of timely pressures. 👁🗨The playmakers stepped up last night. And the list is long. Nichols, Harris, the O-line, J Santos-Knox, what’s his name? in the middle, Adams, and yes..Demski. 👁🗨Sayles (what a find) 👁🗨511 yards and possession time, great yac yards. Good combo. 👁🗨Clean game - only 4 penalties each. 👁🗨That 4th Q was a beaut. Stopped the Stamps on their 1st drive and then controlled the ball for 3 1/2 minutes to kick that FG from no pressure Medlock. 👁🗨There was a turnover on downs, and a controversial no-catch call at the goal line. You could almost hear the screams from Edmonton. - No reports on damage though, from the Maas household. 👁🗨Now today, can just sit back and enjoy some football and hockey without the worry of getting into the playoffs..

Let’s not forget a key knockdown at the 6 yard line after the Demski fumble. That prevented a chance for a TD and, for me, was a turning point.
-
I don’t know, I mean, does a guy like Rainey get the same tribute as Fog um, Fogg?
-
5 or 15 yard variety?
-
No way am I giving consideration to Nichols. 358 yards? Pfft. Guy can’t even hit 359..
