That just means they’ve released more players than the Bombers have too..😮

I wonder if he had a twin..

The Bombers signed five players to their practice roster on September 17, including recent draft pick Jacob Firlotte. International receivers Charles Nelson and Kenny Lawler, linebacker Kache Palacio and defensive back Boobie Hobbs also joined the Bombers. Since that time they have released Boobie Hobbs.

It’s been a while, but we’re just giving you guys a chance to catch up. You've got such a loooong way to go..

It’s the life of a sports fan. Especially for those who didn’t witness the good years. But how about those who are old enough to remember our first 20+ years without winning? Before the internet and fan forums. Between the 60’s and 80’s. Before the SMS where a team like the Eskimos could “buy” players. We had good teams but nowhere near the money that the Eskimos had. 24 Grey Cup appearances.. 10 wins And now? We own the Frustration Cup. 27 years. Do I get weary and down? Oh yes. Does my enthusiasm always come back? Yep. I’m a Bomber fan.

That’s not the point. It’s the fact that these 2 QBs were mentioned that many times in 1 game. Surely, you can bring up facts and data about other players who were involved in the game. To continually rely on the fallback of mentioning these guys is lazy, and annoying to listeners.

154 times. Embarrassing. According to Rob Vanstone, TSN’s broadcasting crew mentioned Johnny Manziel a ridiculous 154 times during the game on Sunday. And Zach Collaros 138 times. I know I noticed how often Manziel was mentioned but I didn’t count. Vanstone re-watched the game and counted. I love the CFL game but the difference in calling the games between the two leagues is Grand Canyon-like.

But Matthews was available much sooner than his recent signing. Even if he wouldn’t have been ready then, he certainly would have been by now. The Bombers like to sign and keep training camp personnel, along with free agents, then save some salary for extensions. This year, the 5th with this regime, should have been the time to add mid-season signings, especially if they are proven with CFL experience.

The sarcasm was..pretty good too..

They’re not free and clear, but allowing only 17 points in the last 2 games and 1 offensive TD against in the last 3 games is...pretty good.

Riders @ Als: can the birds muster an upset?

It wouldn’t be too much of a surprise to see the Riders lose their next 4 games..Edmonton, Winnipeg, Calgary and BC. -
Riders @ Als: can the birds muster an upset?

Did Collaros just excrete another horse shoe on that corner TD throw? I mean throwing, on the run, with his intended? receiver covered, and another receiver just happens to come in and rescue him? Or is that just my imagination? -
Odds and Sods - Bombers at Evil Eskimos
Mr Dee replied to do or die's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Edmonton didn’t mail it in, they just didn’t ‘male’ it in, as we completely outmanned and outplayed them. -
The morning after..with coffee... - An odd stat...Edmonton did not kickoff once during the game.. - Bombers only 3 penalties for 20 yards.. - Winnipeg now leads the league in interceptions with 17 - Winnipeg will be in 3rd overall in points allowed after the weekend, but only 5th in yards per game, almost 600 yards total behind the 7-7 Eskimos... - 23.79.. the average points allowed per game by the Bombers, good for 3rd in the league. - containment with pressure was the formula for the Bomber D last night, and that’s how you beat Reilly. - Edmonton has now lost 4 out of their last 5 - Mike Reilly’s longest pass was 26 yards - nice reward for Mike Miller’s stellar ST’s play...1 catch for 22 yards.. - Craig Roh - now has 7 sacks
-
I’m not really going to worry about stats in a Bomber victory. Mediocre stats in a Bomber victory is still better than fantastic stats in a Bomber loss..

Remaining games - Bombers - Ottawa, Saskatchewan, Calgary and Edmonton Edmonton - Saskatchewan, Ottawa, BC, Winnipeg BC - Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatchewan and Calgary Saskatchewan - Montreal, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Calgary and BC Lots of permutations with these Western matchups especially...

Can we let this thread die a slow debt?

And now it’s time to make my Sayles pitch... That guy can hit

7 losses across the playoff board. And, we played our way back in the race. Can we get Saskatchewan involved now? 😁

B.C. has done their part, losing their 7th game, putting the Bombers temporary in 4th spot. Now it’s time for the Bombers to give Edmonton their 7th loss. Then, I can change the title of the thread..
