So Nichol’s line should read: PLAYER CP/AT % YDS TD INT LG NICHOLS, Matt 13/24 54.2% 180 2 0 34. With the new category Almost Picks - 3 Going to be tough to keep up and agree with that stat..🤗

👁🗨The Morning After..with Coffee. Incredible plays between Masoli and Banks. Some fans blame our defenders but the pass placements were better. Banks performed like a real receiver out there, some real nice catches.. Good pressure all night long from the D-line, a little susceptible to Masoli’s scrambling, but getting the job done. 4 sacks..nice. Long ball? Maybe too many? Or too many to the same guy? Did Masoli outplay Nichols? Maybe slightly in pass % and running, but not in QB efficiency. Nichols only completed 13 passes..but they were the right ones. Medlock? Outstanding kick performance..kicking with the opposite leg? Looked normal to me. Must have practised it. The guy is a pure professional. Randle? No worries there. Hamilton’s opening drive sure looked like trouble was on its way in the long run. The Bombers proved otherwise. Demski - Meet the expression “getting in the groove” Big game for him. How about those back-to-back sacks after the Harris fumble? Good calls eh? Better discipline than the Ti-Cats, and it counted. Dressler’s impressive consecutive catch streak is alive.. Who ‘de mann? Petterman. Nice subbing.. Bennett - special team’s QB ace - another banging tackle.. That Thompkins guy just might prove to be a valuable player.. Andrew Harris.. Bravo to the noise making great fans on that last drive.. I suppose you can say the Bombers beat another below .500 team..or, you can say these teams that we beat are below .500 because we beat them..

Game Day Notes - CFL.ca - Coach O'Shea: Mike O'Shea comes into this game with a career record of 39-40 and needs a win to reach the .500 mark in his 80th game leading the Bombers. The last time his career mark was .500 or better was on Sep 26/14 prior to a 16-11 loss to Hamilton. So it will be Hamilton again that is the opponent in this regard. O'Shea's coaching career can be divided by a very key date - July 28, 2016: the date Drew Willy was replaced.. W13-L28 until July 28 (.317) Jul 28/16 Jun 26/14 To Present -W26-L12 since (.684) - Coach Jones: A win in their last game snapped a 3-game losing streak and returned his career W-L above .500 at 9-8. Since taking over on September 4, 2017, Coach Jones has never been below .500 - last week's win in Montreal prevented that. What is remarkable is that both O'Shea's and Jones' W-L records are tied to #1 QB changes - O'Shea's in 2016 mid-season, and Jones on taking over and moving to Jeremiah Masoli as #1. - Hamilton up +28: The Ti-Cats' 28-0 lead last week at Montréal was the largest by any road team in all of CFL history and matched the all-time record set by three previous teams - Hamilton Offence: The Tiger-Cats come in with the #2 ranking for Net Offence at 411.3 yards per game in 2018. They have gone over the 500-yard mark twice already, something they did just once across all of the 2016-2017 seasons. - Bighill Tackle Rate: The last full CFL season for Adam Bighill was 2016 when he made 108 defensive tackles for BC on the way to his fifth consecutive all-star season. That equates to 6.0 tackles per game, precisely the same as he is in 2018 with 42 to date. He now has 551 for his CFL career good for #21 all-time. - Dressler 119: Weston Dressler's consecutive game reception streak is up to 119 in a row (last game w/o a catch: Aug 12/10). His 119-game streak is the 8th longest in CFL history (next ahead at #7 is Craig Ellis at 120 in a row). He is 200 yards away from becoming the CFL's 17th 10,000 yard receiver and is 3 catches short of becoming the CFL's 13th player to reach 700 career receptions. - Jeremiah Masoli 11 of 12 at 300+: Led Hamilton to 5 TD drives in 10 possessions last week before giving way. He had exactly 300 passing yards to make it 11 times in his last 12 games with 300+ passing yards. Only two players have ever achieved that kind of 300+ consistency: Sam Etcheverry in 1955-56 with 14 out of 15 games & Doug Flutie in 1991-92 with 12 out of 13 at 300+. On the down side, Masoli has thrown an INT in all seven games this year. - Matt Nichols: In his first two starts of the season, Nichols TD:INT Ratio was just 1 to 3 on 57 attempts. In his last two starts, he has turned that around completely with 4 TD passes and just one interception in 54 passes. - WPG Field Position #1: In 2018, the Bombers have started drives on average at their own 39-yard line, well above the 35-yard line CFL-wide average ... and tied with Calgary for #1 overall. Winnipeg opponents have started their drives at the 35-YL on average. - Bombers Off a Bye Week: Since 2014 and the return of the CFL to a nine-team league, the Blue Bombers have had 7 games coming off a bye week and are 3-4 under Coach O'Shea. However, after going 0-3 in post-bye games in 2014-15, they have since gone 3-1 in their last 4 outings. They were the last team to get a bye in the 2018 CFL schedule. - Bombers vs Tiger-Cats: Hamilton has won the last two meetings with Winnipeg including a 31-17 triumph at Tim Hortons Field on Jun 29/18. They will be trying to sweep the Blue Bombers for the first time since 2015. Since 2011, Hamilton is 10-9 .526 vs Winnipeg and over that period that mark is their highest winning pct. against any current West Division club. - Interceptions run: Jeremiah Masoli has thrown at least one interception in all seven games this year. - WPG Last 4 First Halves: Over their last 4 games the Bombers have started fast outscoring opponents 93-30 in the 1st half. - WPG Sack Free: The Bombers have not allowed a sack in their last 20 possessions and just one in their last 30 drives overall. - Converting 2nd-&-Long: Hamilton is #1 in the CFL in converting in 2nd-&-7+ yard situations at 44%. - Red Zone Defence: The Ti-Cats have stopped opponents 13 times out of 19 Red Zone chances, #1 in the CFL at just 32%. - Back-to-back 150's: Jalen Saunders comes in with receiving totals of 154 and 150 yards in his last two games. - Brandon Banks: Has gone over 100 yards in 5 of his last 6 games.

Almost.. -from tomorrow’s game notes.. - Bombers Off a Bye Week: Since 2014 and the return of the CFL to a nine-team league, the Blue Bombers have had 7 games coming off a bye week and are 3-4 under Coach O'Shea. GAME DAY NOTES CFL.ca Eskimos vs Lions: BC has dropped their last four meetings with Edmonton who won both visits to B.C. Place Stadium last year. BC's last win at home over the Esks came on Oct 22/16 with Jonathon Jennings at QB. - BC consecutive reception streaks: Emmanuel Arceneaux 108 straight games (of 109 career GP - held without a catch only on Nov 6/09); Bryan Burnham 53 games (all 53 of his career CFL games). - Travis Lulay: Lulay will be making his 4th straight start and he comes in averaging 311 passing yards per game. Since the start of 2017, the Lions are 4-3 when Lulay starts and 5-12 with Jonathon Jennings at QB. Lulay is #1 in the CFL having thrown just two INTs in 112 attempts. TD:INT Ratio - 2015-17: 1.26 to 1 (24:19); 2018: 2.00 to 1. Travis needs just 210 passing yards to become the CFL's 35th player to reach 20,000. - Manny Arceneaux 8,002: Became the third Lions' receiver to go over 8,000 career yards last week. He trails only Geroy Simon (14,756) and Jim Young (9,248) as the #3 receiving yardage leader in club history. In CFL history, he now ranks #45 all-time. - 2-4 Start: BC is trying to avoid dropping to 2-5 for the first time since 2011, and to be three full games out of 3rd place in the West. After 7 games last year, BC had started off 5-2 and since then have gone just 4-13 .235 ahead of only Montreal (1-16 .059). - Since October 2017: The Eskimos finished 2017 strongly with a 5-0 mark in October-November and a 12-6 record. Since that point Edmonton is 10-2 .833 overall behind only Calgary - Mike Reilly: Led the Eskimos to a 4th Quarter comeback victory, the 21st late game-winning drive of his CFL career. Reilly leads the CFL with 2,320 passing yards on pace for a career-high 5,965 yards. Reilly has 14 TD passes in 2018 and 131 in his career; his overall ratio is 131 TDs to 72 INTs, a ratio of 1.82 to 1. Reilly leads the CFL with 24 completions on throws of 20+ yard depth. - Chris Rainey: Did not play last week snapping a consecutive games run of 41 in a row and 50 of the last 51 games. - Edmonton comebacks: A common theme in the last 4 Edmonton wins ... they were not leading after the 1st Quarter. They lead the CFL with 3 wins when trailing after the 1st Quarter. In fact, all 5 Edmonton wins this year have required comebacks. - Long Edmonton TD drives: The Esks have 22 TD drives this year - those drives have averaged 74.9 yards or from their own 35. They have engineered 8 TD drives of 80 yards or more. Last Week's CFL Notables: - McLeod Bethel-Thompson: Led the Argos to a 42-41 victory over Ottawa. Here are a few superlatives from that game 1) From 24 down I: The Argo comeback matched the 8th-largest in CFL history, just 3 points short of the CFL record from 27 points. 2) From 24 down II: 2nd-largest in Argos' history, one point less than their 25-point recovery of Oct 2/94 (11-36 to HAM, won 39-36). 3) Half-time deficit: They trailed by 21 at half-time and won matching the 3rd-largest in CFL history after 30:00 of play. 4) 4 TD pass debut: One of six players with 4 TD passes in their 1st career start. CFL record: An incredible 8 TDs by Joe Zuger 1962) (Ricky Ray 2002, Matt Dunigan 1984, Condredge Holloway 1975, and Ron Reeves 1983 also had 4 TD debuts) 5) 2nd Half Passing: Bethel-Thompson passed for 233 yards and 4 TDs in the 2nd half alone. 6) Q4 game-winning drive: Drove 86 yards on 11 plays in 1:44 going 5-of-7 for 60 yards with completions to four different receivers. 7) 0:01 Left: Hit Armanti Edwards with a 23-yard TD pass with just 0:01 left on the clock on 2nd-&-10. - Johnny Manziel: Saw his first action making a start without having thrown a pass previously in the CFL. His 4 INTs were two short of the all-time record by a CFL debut QB starter (Tom Maudlin Sep 7/63 for Edmonton). Montreal made a Turnover on 5 of the first 6 possessions that Manziel ran and that included interceptions on 4 of his first 15 pass attempts. Manziel was pressured on virtually every throw however and was forced out of the pocket frequently. - Jorden/Mitchell: Kamar Jorden raised the CFL season-high for receivers to 185 yards in Calgary's 7th straight win, matching their best start since a 10-0 run to begin 1993. Mitchell raised his record to 63-10-2 in his 75th career QB start; he threw for 370 yards. - Hamilton +28 after Q1: The Ti-Cats 28-0 lead matched the largest in CFL history after 15:00 of play. - Calgary +14: Stamps tied a CFL record at 7 games in a row with at least a 14-pt lead matching the 1982 Bombers and 2011 Lions. - Edmonton: Drew the largest attendance for any CFL game this year with a crowd of 35,623. - Lewis Ward: Extended his 2018 CFL-best FG made streak to 19 and within two of the all-time record for a 1st-year player (L.Congi) ___________________________________________________________________________________________________

It’s not easy to pull off what Billy Van did..playing all those characters, but he did it in a competent fashion. It was a Canadian production and there’s even talk of re-booting the show. - “In 2018, the production company Headspinner announced that it had acquired licensing and merchandising rights to the series, and was exploring the possibility of creating a new reboot.”

Game Day Notes - CFL.ca BC @ Calgary - How Dominant is Calgary? Up by 14+ Pts: One way of measuring a team's sustained level of dominance is how often they take big leads. The Stamps have led in EVERY contest this season by 14 or more points and this it is now 6 games in a row. In CFL history only two teams have EVER led by 14+ points in more than 6 consecutive games: Bombers - 1982 - 7 games Lions - 2011 - 7 games - Calgary Field Position #1: The Stamps lead the CFL in starting point for their drives - they begin on average at their own 40-yard line compared to the other 8 clubs whose average is just the 35-yd line. That increment of 5 yards per possession by season's end would equate to an extra 1,300 yards of Offence - or stated differently other clubs would have to gain 1,300 more yards to have the same shorter field to cover. Calgary opponents have to gain 15% more Net Offence yards just to make up for this differential. Calgary's Rank in starting FP by year - 2012: #2, 2013: #2, 2014: #1, 2015: #1, 2016: #2, 2017: #2, 2018: #1. - 6-0 CFL Teams since 1998: The Stampeders have started 6-0, an accomplishment matched by only FIVE CFL teams in the last 20 years prior to 2018 (Montreal in 2002, 2004 & 2006 plus Saskatchewan in 2008 and Edmonton in 2017). Calgary was last 6-0 in 1995 when they had a 7-0 start. They have reached 7-0 FOUR times in their history (1948, 1949, 1993 & 1995). - Jordan Herdman: Recorded 12 defensive tackles in BC's last game stepping in for Solomon Elimimian. His 12 stops were the most by any first-time starter in CFL history covering the 1987 to 2018 seasons when Defensive Tackles first became an official stat. - Stampeders vs Lions: Calgary has won 4 in row and 8 of the last 9 meetings with BC. The Lions' last victory at McMahon Stadium came on August 1, 2014 with Kevin Glenn at QB. Glenn is the only BC Quarterback to lead them to a win at McMahon since July 2012 and Calgary is 7-1 vs BC at home since then. - 6-game win streaks as a starter: Bo Levi Mitchell has led Calgary to FIVE different win streaks of at least 6 games in his career. Only two other QBs have engineered more of these 6+ game winning runs for their club. QB Winning Streaks of 6 or more Games (In Same Season) Player - Anthony Calvillo 6 - Bo Levi Mitchell 5 - Doug Flutie 5 - Ken Ploen 4 - 11.3 / 10.2 Pts Allowed: Calgary is challenging a long-held CFL record having allowed only 11.3 total points per game thus far. In the entire CFL Era (1958 to today), the fewest TOTAL points allowed record is held by the 1964 BC Lions at 10.5 per game and followed by Hamilton (1965) at 10.9 ppg against. The second take on this record is DEFENSIVE POINTS ONLY ... For Points Allowed by their DEFENCE only, at 10.2 per game Calgary ranks #3 historically. 2018 10.17 4 (Calgary is on pace to allow the fewest Opponent offensive TDs in CFL history) 1958 10.63 22 - Travis Lulay 300+ / 4-2 W-L: Travis Lulay will be making his 3rd straight start and he comes in with back-to-back 300+ yard games. The only time in his CFL career that he has reached 300+ in 3 consecutive games was in July 2012 (Jul 14-28/12: 3405, 360 & 315). Since the start of 2017, the Lions are 4-2 when Lulay starts and 5-12 with Jonathon Jennings at QB. - Sacks in 23 straight games: Only Calgary, Winnipeg and Edmonton have registered at least one Sack in every game this season. Calgary has the longest active streak with at least one sack at 23 games dating back to the 2017 season opener. Calgary has recorded at least one Sack in 32 of their last 33 games. - Alex Singleton: Through Week #7 no player had a higher % of his team's defensive tackles. Singleton has made 35 of the 222 Calgary defensive tackles for a 15.8% share. Next: J.C. Sherritt at 14.4%, Adam Bighill at 14.3%. - Calgary at home: The Stampeders are 47-6 in their last 53 regular season home games back to September 2012. Their last 9 home victories have all been by double digit margins. - Kamar Jorden: Is one of only 4 CFL players with at least 4 receptions in every game this year (D.Walker, D.Williams, B.Sinopoli). - Emanuel Davis: Was blanked for interceptions last year after making 5 in 2016 & 2017. He has two this year already for Calgary. - Leads of 14+ points: Calgary has led in every game this season by at least 14 points. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________

Game Day Notes - CFL.ca Hamilton @ Montreal - Alouettes vs Ti-Cats: Hamilton has won 5 of the last 6 games vs Montréal including a two-game sweep last year. In the last 7 years (2011-2017), Montréal has won the season series over Hamilton just ONCE (2015). Hamilton is 12-8 vs the Als since 2011. - Jeremiah Masoli: As a starter in 2018 Masoli is 2-4 but in his career his winning % is .480 at 12-13. Against Montreal he is a perfect 3-0 in his career and he brings a much better road record (9-5) into Montreal than in starts at home (3-8). He has thrown for 300+ yards in 10 of his last 11 games and set a 9-game 300+ streak CFL record earlier on. He went over the 8,000 yard mark last week. - Johnny Manziel: Last threw a pass competitively on December 27, 2015 in a 17-13 loss (start) to Kansas City (other than 2018 Spring League). His career stats in the NFL cover 14 games and 8 starts (2-6): 147-for-258 57.0% for 1,675 yards with 7 Ints and 7 TD passes. His longest career completion was for 61 yards to Travis Benajmin on November 15, 2015. He has logged 6 career CFL games but has yet to see the field (CFL rules for Games Played differ from the NFL). - QBs since August 2013: Since Anthony Calvillo's last start (Aug 17/13) here are the starting QB totals by team (incl. this week) MTL 14 - Neiswander, Marsh, T.Smith, Brink, Crompton, Cato, Glenn, Bridge, Adams, Durant, Willy, Shiltz, Mathews & Manziel SSK 11 - Durant, Willy, Sunseri, Doege, Joseph, Glenn, B.Smith, Price, Gale, Bridge & Collaros WPG 9 - Hall, Goltz, Willy, Brohm, Marve, Nichols, D.Davis, Lefevour, Streveler TOR 8 - Ray, Collaros, T.Harris, Kilgore, Lefevour, Willy, Mathews, Franklin & Bethel-Thompson HAM 6 - Burris, Collaros, Masoli, Lefevour, Mathews, J.Harris BC 6 - Lulay, Demarco, Pierce, Glenn, Beck, Jennings OTT 5 - Burris, T.Harris, Jensen, Tate, Lindley CGY 4 - Glenn, Mitchell, Tate, Buckley EDM 3 - Reilly, Nichols, Franklin CFL (62) 4 weeks, 4 QBs- a first since 1999: With Johnny Manziel to start at QB, that means that the Als will start a different QB in 4 consecutive games. The last time that any CFL club had 4 different QB starters in a 4-game span was 19 years ago - Edmonton started N.Greene, D.Crowley, M.Crandell & K.Mason across Oct 11-30/99. Across 60 CFL years this 4 in 4 has occurred just 6 times. - 1-16 in the last 17 games / 8 in a row at home: The Alouettes have won just once in their last 17 games - the poorest 17-game stretch in their history. They come into this week having lost their last 8 home games - the longest home losing streak in Montreal history and back to 1958 matches the 4th-longest ever home losing streak Hamilton 1st half vs 2nd half: The Ti-Cats have dominated the 1st half this year and have outscored opponents by 80-52 (+28). In the 2nd half however they have a scoring margin of -33. This is especially in the 4th Quarter where the points count is 23-54 and they have lost five of their six 4th Quarters. - Jalen Saunders: Has played 22 career CFL games and is up to 1,706 yards and 111 receptions. He has been extraordinarily consistent with at least 50 yards in 16 of his 22 games. His 2018 pace is to exceed the 1600-yard mark and reach 105 catches. - Masoli INTs: Jeremiah Masoli has thrown one interception in each game thus far and leads the CFL with 6 in total. These 6 picks have led to 21 opponent points in 2018. - 24:50 TOP: Over their last 5 games, Montreal's average Time of Possession has been just 24:50 versus their opponents' 35:10 - gap of over 10:00 of play. Over that 5-game run, opponents have averaged 17 more plays from scrimmage per game (64 to 47 per game). - Simoni Lawrence last 4 games: Lawrence has been Hamilton's leading tackler in 3 of their last 4 games with 27 in total. - Henoc Muamba: Leads the CFL with 7 Tackles for Loss thus far, well ahead of the pace to break his own CFL record of 13 (2013). - Ernest Jackson: Over his last 3 games he has just 3 catches for 17 yards on 13 targets. - Tyrell Sutton: Last week posted his 2nd-highest receiving total ever with 82 yards on 4 catches (career max? 90 yards Aug 22/14). ___________________________________________________________________________________________________

Duron is so good for that team.. From that article.. Duron Carter, meanwhile, tweeted he was sick and tired of being sick and tired and has so much more to give. Then to the media, said he and Naaman Roosevelt watched most of the game as the footballs were being thrown elsewhere.

Sask at Edmonton - Matchup: The Eskimos have dominated this rivalry since 2011 winning 13 of the 20 games and have not lost a season series to the Riders since 2013. Mike Reilly has started the Esks' last 6 games vs the Riders and is 4-2. In his last 9 starts vs SSK he is 7-2. They went to OT twice in 2016, but neither game last year was close., - 3-1 last 4 games: Edmonton has risen to #2 in the West with wins in 3 of their last 4 games. They overcame deficits of 3, 7 & 12 points to rebound with a win. - Trailing after Q1: Edmonton has started slowly all season long and have trailed after the 1st Quarter in each of their last 5 games. They rebounded to win 3 of those 5 - in 1st Quarters their scoring differential is -24 while from the 2nd Quarter on they are +48. - Charleston Hughes: Has a Sack in each of his last 4 games matching 4-game runs in 2017 & 2016. He has had at least one Sack in 72 of his 153 career games. - Christion Jones streak: Last week's game broke a remarkable streak of punt return excellence. It was the first one of his 17 career regular season games in which he did not produce at least one return of 13+ yards. His longest last week was just 8 yards. - The Riders have also started slowly so it will be interesting to see who is leading. They are even slower out of the gate at -34 in their 1st Quarters this year (Edmonton is -24), have just 11 First Quarter points but are +17 over the final 45:00 of games. - 3 Riders INT return TDs: The Riders have 3 TDs already with Tobi Antigha the latest in last week's game. The Riders' record for most interception return TDs in a season is 6 in 1976 (B.Manchuk, C.Vann, P.Williams, L.Richardson, K.McEachern & J.Marshall). They have 4 total defensive return TDs in 6 games - that SSK record is 6 in four different seasons. - Mike Reilly 6k/400: Reilly leads the CFL in passing with 2,063 yards on pace for 6,189 - that would rank #3 A/T behind Doug Flutie's 6,619 (1991) and Kent Austin (6,225 in 1992). Last week, he had 415 yards, his 6th career 400+ game and 2nd this year. - 4 Sacks Allowed: Edmonton has allowed only 4 Sacks all season on pace for only 12 in 2018 - the club record for fewest allowed in one season is 25 allowed in 2003, more than double their current pace. - Brandon Bridge: Has yet to throw for more than 165 yards in his 4 starts and has one TD pass in 104 attempts thus far. Last week, Bridge's his longest completion was with the receiver 10 yards downfield. He did not attempt a throw of deeper than 18 yards. - Brett Lauther: Made a career-high 5-of-5 FGs last week and has now made 18 of his last 19 attempts. He is #3 at 90% in 2018. - Naaman Roosevelt: Has a current 41-game game reception streak but has now gone 10 games without reaching 100 yards. - Brandon Bridge: Has yet to throw for more than 165 yards in his 4 starts and has one TD pass in 104 attempts thus far. - Kwaku Boateng: Had 3 QB Sacks last week to jump to #2 in the CFL with 5 in total. Gable got back to 1200-yard rushing pace last week with 69 on 15 carries. - Duron Carter: Was targeted on Offence twice last week - he had been a receiving target just twice in the previous 4 games.

Game Day Notes - Grey Cup Winners' Slow Starts: The recent trend in the CFL is for Grey Cup winners to start slowly the next year. The all-time slowest 'next season' starts by GC winners (1945 to 2017) shows only THREE clubs with less than two wins and the average 6-game start for these 72 clubs being .618. Toronto's 1-5 start in 2018 matches the slowest-ever by a Grey Cup winning club (Montreal in 1950): Lewis Ward: Comes into Week #8 with the following accomplishments among ALL 1st-year players in CFL history: Highest FG made %: 95.2% Most FGs made 1st year player (tied) 3rd-longest FG made streak (17, 4 back of the record) McLeod Bethel-Thompson: The Argos have suggested that Bethel-Thompson will start at QB this week - he would become Toronto's 8th different QB starter since Oct 23/15, a span of 45 games and none have had a winning record (16-29): P- Debut QB Starts Since 2014: The last 5 CFL QB debuts have all resulted in losses for their clubs (Chris Streveler in 2018, Andrew Buckley, Matthew Shiltz and Ryan Lindley in 2017 plus Brock Jensen in 2016. The last QB to win his first career start was Vernon Adams Jr. on Oct 22/16. Since 2014, debut QB starters have gone just 9-17 .346. Toronto has bucked this trend though as their debut QB starters since 2013 have all won - Logan Kilgore on Jul 31/16, Trevor Harris on Nov 7/14 and Zach Collaros, a winner on Jul 30/13. The REDBLACKS are on 2-game win streak while Toronto comes into this contest riding 3 consecutive losses. This 3-game East Div. disparity in Ottawa's favour is the LARGEST EVER coming into a head-to-head meeting with Toronto. In 10 previous meetings Ottawa had never been more than one win ahead. Greg Ellingson 33 straight: Last week extended his consecutive game streak with a reception to 33 games in a row. Over his last 3 games however he has just 10 catches for under 100 yards (10 for 97, 0 TDs). - Brad Sinopoli 1600+/135 catch pace: Sinopoli trails only Duke Williams (672) with 552 receiving yards and is on pace for 1,656 this season. That would be a new Ottawa record - well ahead of Greg Ellingson's 1,457 yards set in 2017. Sinopoli has made a CFL-best 45 receptions on pace for 135 which would be the #2 mark in CFL history. Rivalry to the end: Although Toronto has won seven of 10 meetings against the REDBLACKS going back to 2014, eight of those games were decided in the final three minutes. This is Toronto’s first game against an East Division team in 2018. There is a three-win disparity between Toronto and Ottawa is the largest ever ahead of a head-to-head meeting between the two clubs. In their 10 previous games the REDBLACKS have never been more than one win ahead.

CFL trends 1st Year Player / Most FGs Single Game & Longest Streak: The 7 field goals made by Lewis Ward tied the CFL record for most by a 1st-Year player matching Justin Medlock's 7-of-7 in 2009 and is the most by a true CFL rookie (Medlock was in his first CFL season but was NOT a "Rookie" since he had played in the NFL previously). Medlock made all 7 FG attempts on Aug 14/09 in his first CFL season and like Ward his feat came in CFL career game #6: The longest FG made streak by a 1st Year CFL player was set by Luca Congi in 2006 at 21 in a row: Duke Williams 100+ in 5 straight: Williams' current run of consecutive 100-yard games has reached 5. With one more this week vs SSK he can get to a level that has been reached only 3 times in CFL history. The last to extend that streak to at least 6 games of 100+ in a row was Jamel Richardson in 2011. Williams has tied the Edmonton record set by Brian Kelly in 1983. 6-game win streaks as a starter: Bo Levi Mitchell has led Calgary to FIVE different win streaks of at least 6 games in his career. Only two other QBs have engineered more of these 6+ game winning runs for their club: 11.3 / 10.2 Pts Allowed: Calgary is challenging a long-held CFL record having allowed only 11.3 total points per game thus far. In the entire CFL Era (1958 to today), the fewest TOTAL points allowed record is held by the 1964 BC Lions at 10.5 per game and followed by Hamilton (1965) at 10.9 ppg against. 2000+ Pace: D'haquille Williams is bidding to become the first 2000+ yard receiver since Allen Pitts had 2,036 yards in 1994. First Full Divisional Week: This game marks the start of the first full 2018 week of nothing but Divisional rivals playing one another. Through Week #7 the West dominated the East 14 wins to 6 with only Ottawa coming through with a winning record. Hamilton, Toronto and Montreal played a combined 16 inter-games and went 4-14 .222. No of different starters: Ottawa & Saskatchewan have had only 28 different players start at least one game compared to Montreal with the most at 40 players. Games played milestones ahead: Nearing 100 games ... Justin Capicciotti 99, Dan West 98, Samuel Giguere 97, J.C. Sherritt 97, Sam Hurl 96. 700 Receptions: Weston Dressler has 696 career catches with 3 more to become the 13th player to reach that level. He is also now exactly 200 yards away from reaching 10,000 and his receptions streak is up to 119 consecutive games. - CFL Notes

Without a doubt..

“Yes, it hurt me to hear that. I have nothing more to say or to give to the supporters of Montreal. Never again," Adams told La Presse, per Google translate. "Their behavior was very disrespectful. It was not like I was playing badly. I do not want them to ask me for anything, not even a small piece of equipment." “I do not care what the situation is. It was a lack of respect and it affected me," Adams said. "I tried anyways to make plays on the field. But that's fine. In the future, I'll treat the fans as they treated me. That's all. "

As expected...

Good read, but it’s more complicated than saying “prevent defence”. If you have the type of players who are fully in to this kind of D, then you have a good chance to actually prevent the offences from reading easily. It does look like we’re moving in that direction, but it does take communication, and isn’t that what we’ve been hearing for the last little while? Now that I’ve read that article, and I’ve left my comfort zone, I’ll pass it off to my board mates to handle their own particular soft zones or man up about it. 😁Huh?
