Very interesting. And exactly the reason why many of us find value in the man, the Coach, and his importance to the team. Adam Bighill says it himself. It’s the culture of the team nowadays. When Wade Miller, Kyle Walters, and Mike O’Shea were trotted out as our team, to lead the team, we were all excited but anxious because they were new and inexperienced. Now we know. This organization is light years ahead of the dead planet atmosphere that prevailed in the years before. We’re still anxious, but for much different reasons. It’s the ‘when’ now, not so much the ‘if’. We’re getting closer. That’s the culture we revel in now. And many more players, like Adam Bighill, realize it too.

Nope. I love it when players are mentioned in a most positive manner. Especially when their performances should elevate the play of their competitors.. Our receivers, this year, have taken turns getting the positive pen. It’s all good..

This is a better rule change... CFL coaches won’t be allowed to challenge illegal contact calls this season. The CFL eliminated illegal contact as a challengeable call Wednesday, and the change will be in place when the regular season kicks off next month.

QUOTE: Pulled from the Official CFL website today: The so-called “force out rule” is eliminated: a receiver catching a ball has to place at least one foot inbounds regardless of whether he was contacted in mid-air. This will change how D play the perimeter (a bit). Advantage D. What do Offense fans think of eliminating this force out rule? I do not support this rule change at all. It seems to me they barely call the rule properly now. To me, if the QB and the receiver make the proper reads and if the receiver makes a play for the ball, and catches it inbounds, then he should not be subject to a hit that will make the call ‘no catch’. The judgment calls will always be in sports. It’s part of the game. Good or bad. That ruling definitely helps the D. And besides, who’s to say it will eliminate subjectivity at all, as in: Did the receiver even have a play for the ball before he was hit out of bounds? Was it an early hit? Or necessary? etc.

Based on his play, and effort, last year, this is richly deserved.

Never mind all that technical stuff, we want to know if he got a signing bonus..😀

Durant chose fatherhood over football. Fine. It was probably time. Then, where a scenario presented itself for a great teaching moment for the future, father Durant fumbles the ball. Big time. Is this how you teach morals to your first born? Doubles double reneged on a deal, a promise, and with that poor thought process, traded his honour in a cowardly, non-grown up way...he avoided the situation. It was easier that way. Respect and honour are not easily won, but they sure are quickly lost. And lost them he did. That, is what Durant ‘deserves’.

Atta boy Darren! Don’t let that baseless statement go unanswered.

The Bombers have been at the receiving end of criticism for targeting so many receivers, and yet, it’s like they knew what they were doing..and we didn’t...again. We missed out on a couple of players defensively, but if the staff did their homework, and they did, then this draft will work out just fine.

Almost a full squad of players on a team. It definitely seems they’re serious about finding the right combination... 23 players! The same number of QBs we’ve auditioned over a couple of years before we plugged Nichols..?

"I don’t know that there’s a real pressing need right now from a Canadian standpoint, which allows us to take the best player, potentially, rather than draft for a need.” GM Kyle Walters on the upcoming draft & combine. Through careful drafting and keeping an eye out for useful NI players over the last 5 seasons, the team is turning the corner on need vs. want. What Wade Miller, Kyle Walters and Mike O’Shea have brought to the organization is...stability. And I don’t miss the old days at all.

I wouldn’t be able to tell you how many times Kyle Walters has been asked about the the Muamba situation. And, he kind of expected it during in this press release. I think, to clarify the issue, he put the offer/ask in perspective. He told the fans he made a good Bomber offer. The request by the other side was for the highest pay for a Canadian player on the team. It wasn’t going to happen. I think the Bombers were patient enough, and realized early, that it wasn’t going to happen. Many can put the blame on whomever they want, but really, there is no blame. Offer, counter-offer, it’s all part of sports. Do the deal or don’t...live with the consequences. And move on.

If I were you, I wouldn’t quote Steve Morley for anything you want to be meaningful. I liked Morley as a player, but as someone who “knows” what he’s talking about, you might as well listen to a Rider fan.

What are the chances of Montreal keeping Durant now?... I’m guessing he’ll be a free agent soon..

It matters not what will happen once Bond departs. The Bombers have been positioning themselves to be able to go in this direction. They've drafted o-lineman after o-lineman to achieve a better ratio. That is huge. Keeping Bryant was paramount. And Hardrick and Foketi. But now we can benefit from the patience shown in the drafting. We’re “lucky” because we have plenty of FAs to look after...with few replacements. We need to keep some of those. We don’t have to keep Bond..as much as we’d like to, but the raise necessary for him can go to keep a Randle for instance. We might get a “Bond”, in another position, that will suit us better. Roster management,. That’s what it’s all about.

Vince McMahon considers move to bring back the XFL

Shouldn’t those two recent posts go in the respect when posting thread? -
Re Bond: We used him and benefited. He used us and will benefit. We’re just lucky to be in a position to be able to let him go...
