  1. The Halifax Machine would be an interesting, and somewhat efficient nickname...??
  2. You mean, thank you lots..
  3. They can’t use explosion...we seem to have a corner on that particular phrase...
  4. Is it any wonder why this guy is loved so much? And our very own Neufie..
  5. Excellent. I can envision the Offensive side of the ball shaping up very nicely for 2018. Coates, breaking out like he has, Wolitarsky, positioning to become a valuable NI receiver and of course, Feoli-Gudino. Adams, Dressler and another yet unnamed receiver, with our QB’ing and we are set. Yes, even with the lapoloosa of a OC that we have...?
  6. Why don’t we just break it down to the most simplest terms, and forget about the coordinators for now? If you had to look at what aspect of the team was a bigger failure, offence or defence, just based on the results, which would it be? Its not complicated.
  7. I don’t disagree with what you’re saying. It was a side trip they decided to embark on. Doesn’t matter. It was still a flawed decision. It was still early enough bring in other candidates, and flow with a NI dB. Other teams have done this with NIs, and although it weakened them in some capacity, it isn’t the same as weakening the core with an inferior MLB. For me, that’s the #1 recruit/signing this year. All else will flow from there.
  8. Seriously, the season was doomed when the powers that be elected to use the ratio in a manner that weakened our defence beyond what was rational. Of course, I’m talking about filling the most important D position, MLB, with Sam Hurl, as an every play player to satisfy the ratio needs. There were many moans and ??? marks when they “settled” on this decision. But we hoped it could work. It didn’t. In a big way. That decision had a domino effect, not a dominant effect. We have to do better with our ratio, and we have to end the Hurl experiment. Get a real MLB. It’ll solve a lot of our issues...
  9. The Edmonton version of TBurg would question the Edmonton offence for not doing much if it wasn’t for the fact that glaring Winnipeg defensive lapses lead to numerous scoring plays...? (and no, there is no Edmonton version of Mr Dee, so don’t bother with the mimicking)
  10. That’s one Lapoloosa of a tongue lashing on the OC.
  11. Justin Medlock had a 43.7 punting yardage average, tied for 8th. However, he had the 3rd best net punting average of 35.2, which is the more important stat.
  12. You’ve been waiting a long time to stick it to O’Shea. And I guess you feel vindicated. But nothing will convince me otherwise, that there was really only one soft spot on this team...and that was on defence. The defence couldn’t cut it, and was a combination of the type of defence and a couple of players who just couldn’t figure out their assignments. It wasn’t a good way to enter the playoffs, and yet, it was still possible to win. That last game showed that blown assignments were still a sticking point for this team and led to multiple TDs. No other team had as many blown assignments or coverages. That is/was a fatal flaw. Enough to make changes. Hopefully to the DC. But c’mon, everybody? That’s just plain ludicrous.
  13. For the W (innie)
  14. Discipline. Discipline will win the game for the Bombers. Discipline in their assignments, especially on defence. Our discipline will lead to Edmonton’s lack of discipline. They are the most penalized team in the league. We are the least. Penalties lead to extra yardage needed, and extra yardage needed leads to a little more gambling. And gambling leads to mistakes... I want to see Maas throwing things too. Headsets, pens, small players. Anything. That settles their team down a lot...? Keep that team unbalanced and we should be alright..
  15. And it’s time to give that travelled veteran his due. Jermarcus Hardrick, he of “leaping” fame gets recognized for his stellar play at right tackle, and his boundless enthusiasm. What a teammate and now an ALL-STAR at right tackle! Congratulations Jermarcus - you’ve found a home.
  16. A serious question for you hockey and gambling and Vegas aficionados. After the Jets play in Vegas Friday night, are we going to be able to find out the results of that game? Cause I’ve heard some rumours about what happens in Vegas.....
  17. Again with the copycatting...meow Gee, you only had to make 3 points, and still got all 3 points wrong.. And you’re ignoring the fact that it was their backup QB that we caused to make bad decisions by rushing relentlessly against what many believe is the top O-Line in the CFL. Buckley was forced to make some poor decisions. That’s how the game is played. Duh, the ‘mistakes’ were caused by by the ‘other team’, the other team being the Bombers. It doesn’t take blue goggles, just open eyes, to see that indeed, the Bombers were the better team that day, mistakes forced, or not. Better prepared and more plays made... We are not the ones doing the spinning my dear man. It’s no wonder you can’t read the signs and follow the discourse when you try so hard to bend the facts so hard that you sometimes spin it out of control. Just have a seat, put your feet up, and try to relax. Enjoy the game for what it is. A sport.
  18. He’s the guardian of the league’s best roster. Does that make him the best COTY candidate? Not to me. Jason Maas, Chris Jones and O’Shea are worthier candidates imo.
  19. Ah grasshopper. That’s where you’re missing the whole enchilada. Sometimes, in a game, the expectations are so high for one team, the reality of the game escapes them. Andrew Buckley and the 1st team offence were unprepared for the pressure the underdog Bombers were going to unleash on them. Young and inexperienced, Buckley saw forces he has not encountered when cleaning up in a game. So, who gets credit, and who gets blame, for the game planning? Obviously the Bombers should get recognized for the relentless pressure they put out in that game. I mean, didn’t we force the mistakes? Wasn’t the vaunted Calgary O-line put on their heels many times? If all other areas of the game were equal, and they were, forced errors and turnovers would rule the day. And that’s where the Bombers prevailed. That was no fluke and Buckley was introduced to full-on real game pressure situations courtesy of a well prepared attack. Buckley, at least had some real game time, throwing 24 passes and completing 19. 174 yards and 1 TD, no ints. So, to answer that question, the expectations that Calgary would dominate disappeared BECAUSE of the way the game unfolded. And they unfolded because the Bombers were the better team on that day.
  20. Here’s a serious question for those who question/deflate the Bombers win vs Calgary. Andrew Buckley and the Calgary team vs. Dan LeFevour and the Bombers. Who did you think, or even expect to win? If you have the to admit it...
  21. BLM is just happy that his shoulder issues didn’t interfere with his social media gibes... He’s got serious gibing to do over the course of the bye week you know...
