  1. ?‍?Thursday Nov. 2 - Dyshawn Davis fined an undisclosed amount for a hit to the head with his helmet. His M.O. No penalty was called on the play. ?‍?Never have I heard the expression “explosion plays” as much as I’ve heard it this year. And mostly in relation to the Bomber defence. It’s ironic. Bombers. Giving up explosion plays. Look for a name change in the near future...Winnipeg Blue Bombees... ?‍?Too bad we don’t have 2nd place wrapped up. I would have advocated to rest Nichols, and go with D. Davis. We absolutely must get an answer on him. For instance, did LaPo coddle him instead of let him play QB? We already know LeFevour will be gone, so he could just have been back up. ?‍?To do Mike O’Shea a favour (sounds too much like fevour), a courtesy, we have to copy and paste this: "There were busts on defence, drops on offence, missed blocks… it wasn’t effort. It’s focus and execution.” Perhaps put it on a laminated mini sign. But Mike, this was the team’s 17th game.. ?‍?It’s a shame the special team’s performance didn’t amount to much, including the re-emergence of our kicker. They deserved better. ?‍?There were some pretty good efforts by individuals on defence. Unfortunately, they were countered by some pretty bad decisions by individuals on defence... ?‍?Richie Hall has his own version of the Winnipeg business, Scheme a Dream. Can you guess what his Schemes are called? ?‍?It’s taken me longer to type the expression time of possession than the amount of time the Bombers were in possession of the ball..or so it seemed. ?‍?Now do the fans appreciate the value of Matt Nichols? ?‍?I still stand by my earlier statement that I don’t really care about all the fluff revolving around 2nd place, losing 2 of 3 or whatever, blah, blah, blah. I just want them to win the last 3 games they play.
  2. Flack, flack,flack....flack, flack, flack flack, flack, flack, and something that rhymes with black.
  3. At the very least, LaPo should make this happen... Matt Nichols ranks #3 in the CFL with 4,442 passing yards and is one of just three QBs to start every game for his team in 2017. He needs 558 yards to become the third Blue Bomber QB to surpass the 5K mark (Khari Jones 2002, Kevin Glenn 2007). Winnipeg - The Bombers enter Week #19 as the CFL top scoring team at 31.5 points per game and 504 in total. Their offence is also #1 at 28.0 points on average. The last time Winnipeg led the CFL in total points was back in 2001. They have been #1 just that one time since 1994. BC - The Lions are the only team that has yet to score at least 10 points in the 1st Quarter in 2017. Overall, BC has just 58 points in the 1st Quarter, #9 in the CFL compared to Winnipeg at 83 points (#5). BC has been held to 3 points or less in the first 15:00 on 8 occasions this year including the last two games. Winnipeg also leads the CFL in fewest penalties drawn (97) and by a large margin being the only team under 100. They have just 18 penalties on their Special Team cover and return units, 8 fewer than any other team. The Blue Bombers rank #1 in covering punts allowing just 9.1 yards per return. In contrast, BC is #9 at 13.4 yards per opponent punt return. It’s OK to put the boots to the Lions today Big Blue. Do it! For the UU!
  4. It’s a transposition error. It’s actually ‘rouge coaching tactics’...
  5. I’ll settle for rotating the hell out of the MLB with Wild, Briggs, Miles or even Billy the goat.
  6. I guess the question then becomes...so what?
  7. There’s no need for you to panic..
  8. The Rider site is that way...
  9. Everybody is slamming the CFL for not suspending Murray for that hit. The punishment does not fit that vicious act. The guy should have been ejected immediately after that attempt to injure. I mean, why else would you knowingly slam a defenceless person into the ground using his neck to break his fall? A fine just isn’t good enough for that hit..
  10. Hall over LaPo? We win games despite one, and because of one. One may be frustrating but the other is disheartening. You have to ask yourself, if you were looking for new coordinators, would you look at Hall at D? How about LaPo for the O? I know damned well where I’d put my pick,
  11. Green Eggs and Ham (with apologies to Dr Seuss) I am Sam. Sam-I-am Bomber fan: That Sam-I-am! That Sam-I-am! I do not like that Sam-I-am! Sam-I-am: Do you like green eggs and ham? Do you like them on a train, or in the rain? Bomber Fan: I do not like green eggs and ham Sam-I-am. I do like you to tackle in the rain and hit like a train and many more tackles on the green terrain. Sam-I-am: Would you like them here or there? Bomber Fan: I would like them here and there. I would like them anywhere. Sam-I-am. Sam-I-am: Would you like them in a house? Would you like them with a mouse? Bomber Fan: What are you talking about? House? I do not like how you tackle like a mouse. I do not like them here or there. I do not like them anywhere. I do not like green eggs and ham. I do not like them, Sam-I-am. Sam-I-am: Would you like the tackles in the box? Should I outsmart them like a fox? Bomber Fan: Yes, in a box. Not like a fox. Fill in the gap is how you play, and you do it well, or so they say, but I do not want to see a space filled, would rather you tackle all over the field. Sam-I-am: Would you like me more then my fan? Could you like me more my friend? Bomber Fan: I guess I would, I guess I could if we had somebody else who could and would. Sam-I-am: You may like me, wait and see. We could change our strategy. Bomber Fan: Then here’s the green sword my friend, it’s time for this charade to end. Fall on it and don’t be a mouse, don’t let the opposition run all over our house. Speak with the man and tell him you care, tell him how you just don’t compare. Tell him you will play anywhere a Canadian should be, just not in the position of MLB. Sam-I-Am: And what’s my reward for pulling off this scam? Bomber Fan: We will give you plate after plate of green eggs and ham....
  12. Well, it is Mocktober but no, no mockingbird here. When Nichols threw that ball on 2nd and 5, I thought for sure somebody was wide open, but nope, it was a weird call to try that.
  13. I remember that play and the question marks that hovered over my head after that. It was like this last game. We were in a 2nd and 5 situation at the Argo 30 yard line. THAT was the perfect time to throw a safe pass anywhere, deep, short, it didn’t matter. Move the ball. We had enough time. Then, we wouldn’t have lost yards because everybody knew Harris was getting the ball. I don’t know why I didn’t get a call on that play for advise...
  14. There must be something in the initials TJ that warrants this kind of attention from ex-players of ours..
  15. All’s that was said is if you took out the highest-producing weapons from that game. Take out Wilder and take out Dressler. Two huge losses for the teams. But let’s not pretend that everything else wouldn’t have been equal at that point. As it was, even with a somewhat dominant performance from the Argos, the Bombers were that close to winning another game. Call out whomever you must, but it was a 1 point game, and the Argos were lucky that Medlock is in his soft period of play. And missed, what for him, is a convert-type kick, and he usually doesn’t miss those.
  16. The whole point of the team game we played played out exactly how it should have in the Toronto game...except we lost. We were set up to win that game with one kick. The D stopped the Argos. The O moved the ball downfield effectively killing the clock and set up shot for what should have been a game winning FG. It’s the same scenario we’ve used over the last 2 years. But the guy we hired to do this missed. S***! Colour me surprised. It was there, and then it wasn’t. Tough way to lose a game. But this wasn’t the playoffs, and we’re not out of it. It was a dismal performance on both sides of the ball at times, but the O really has to perform better than that. And Matt Nichols is p’eed off about it. Predictable running plays don’t help anyone’s cause, and Harris cannot do it alone, but he always tries. LaPo still has time to figure this O out to get more production and it looks like we have a couple more weapons (Washington and Givens) to help him out. ?‍?Rest...Andrew Harris somehow. ?‍?The Maas attack. This time on asst coach Cory McDiarmid. Embarrassing. Then, what does McDiarmid do? Why take it out on the players of course. ?‍?Ha, ha, good one Jeffrey Bannon - “Someone get Jason Mass a @SNICKERS” ?‍?In regards to power rankings....In what world does a team with 2 less wins and a series loss to the same team, move ahead of them in power rankings? “In the don’t take seriously world” or the gruelling truth... ?‍?Thank goodness Weston Dressler is back Bob Irving - Lastly on bomber game--Argos rico murray should be suspended for slamming Dressler into the ground head first. Could have broken his neck ?‍?I really only care to win our last three games... Josh Straughan - Signed my futures contract for 2018 with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers! What a blessing from GOD!… instagram.com/p/BakAr_lB6Tj/ For the W-W-W
  17. Exactly true. Just finished watching the game. I was expecting to see a well played game by the Riders that justified the score. What I saw was the worst played game by Calgary in the last 2 years. Im glad the fans are lapping it up. It will make beating them that much better. From Rob Vanstone - This one defies probability: None of the Roughrders’ 30 points were scored when their first-or second-string quarterback was on the field.
  18. I don’t know about any of you guys and gals...but I’m not going anywhere near the Rider forum for a while. I just couldn’t take it.
  19. With Carter making a lotta, lotta, lotta, lotta, lotta mistakes...
  20. Gob-smacking Stats.... For Matt Nichols...  Recent Winnipeg QB Starters: Matt Nichols has started the last 28 games and the last non-Nichols QB starter was Drew Willy on Jul 21/16 vs Calgary. Here is a recap of the impact Nichols has made comparing all Winnipeg QB starters across 2012-2017: Winnipeg Blue Bombers 2012-17: QB Starters Matt Nichols games started 35 won-loss 23-12 .657% 9,477 yards 54 tds, 24 int All 9 Other QBs started ...70. won-loss 20-50 .287% 14,398 yards 51 TDs 61 int Notable: - Nichols has more wins (23) and TD passes (54) in 35 starts than the other 9 QBs have in 70 starts (20W, 51 TDs) - Nichols pass efficiency of 97.4 far exceeds the other QBs combined at 82.5 - Since 2015, the Bombers winning pct. when Nichols starts is .657 and trails only Bo Levi Mitchell in that time ?‍?Damn fine stats...
