Straight and simple thread for game day.....thank you Gm #80 Notes · Winnipeg at Toronto: A Winnipeg win ...: If the Blue Bombers win this game they ... - Clinch a playoff berth in back-to-back years for the first time since 2007-08. - Clinch a home playoff game for the first time since 2011 - they have been at home in post-season only 3x in the last 14 years - Reach 12 wins for the first time since 2002 and can win as many as 14 for the first time since 2001. - Retain a chance to finish first if Calgary loses this week; last time in 1st? 2011. - Finish at 7-1 vs the East, matching the most inter-divisional wins they have ever had (since interlocking play began in 1961). - Give them 13 road wins in the last two years - the last time they had as many as 13 was 55 years ago (15: 1961-62) - Make their record 9-2 in the last 11 games and give them 22 days to prepare for the Western Semi-Final (at least) - Even Coach Mike O'Shea's career W-L record at 36-36 .500, .500 or better for the first time since September 13, 2014. A Toronto win ...: If the Argos win this game they ... - Move back into 1st place ahead of Ottawa and retain control of their own destiny in the East. - Retain a chance to finish at .500 or better for the second time in the last three seasons. - Keep their chance at 1st place alive and for the first time since they won the East in 2013. - Improve their win total to 3 more than in 2016 (5-13); the last time they were +3 wins over the previous year was in 2012. - Match their best home record at 6-3 since a 7-2 mark back in 2003. - Post their second win of the year over a Western team (they are just 1-7 thus far) - Avoid a season worst 3-game losing streak. - Give Coach Marc Trestman his 67th career victory and within one of Michael Clemons at #19 all-time (68 wins)

??Andrew Harris faces a tough task to reach the 1K - 1K mark..3 games remaining..3 tough teams. CFL.ca - Andrew Harris needs to average 43.0 rushing yards 61.3 receiving yards to become the first to record a 1k/1k season. - Andrew Harris needs 6 receptions to reach 100 and 9 to set a single-season record for running backs (Craig Ellis 102, 1985) -

Holy crap, what a stat for Andrew Harris! -
Bob Irving - Rookie DB Brian walker has shaken off accidental hit from Loffler and is ready to go Sat. In Toronto ??You do not have to worry any longer regarding the story behind the release of TJ Thorpe. The Bombers are rumoured to have put out a video to explain the move. Watch for The Story of TJ Thorpe - The Uncut Version coming out soon.. ??What’s with Steve Morley and his love of Jones and Carter and green things? Wpg. Sun - With six more catches, Harris would become the fifth Blue Bomber to record 100 receptions in a season. Stegall is one of them (106 in 2002). Eugene Goodlow (100 in 1981) was the first CFLer to do it. Other Bombers in the century club are James Murphy (116, '86) and Gerald Wilcox (111, '94). ??Gladys Knight must be missing two pips, and they’re on Twitter. Bo Levi Mitchell and Duron Carter. Yappers... ??But in Carter’s defence... Ahh...I got nothing Mike O’Shea -"He’s fast, he’s strong, he’s an intuitive football player. I don’t know that there’s much Ian (Wild) can’t do.” ? | ow.ly/dHNF30fYzGs Ian Wild - "I'm definitely itching to play." ??Like I said..just get him in the lineup.. ??I see penalty trouble for Duron Carter on D on Friday

So much for Duron taking a break from social media... -
I am truly sad. The day has not started well. At the very least, Gord Downie got to go out on his terms.. Truly, thanks for the memories Mr Downie.

Fire Richie Hall !!!! DISGRACE COACH

I don’t know if there are any teams, CFL or NFL, who don’t have a prevent defence in place for these situations. It’s all about keeping the ball ahead of you, killing the clock, making the tackles, and execution. It helps exponentially to have your offence get first downs... -

Finally, after many hours of digging, the truth emerges... -
Brandon Zylstra is a remarkable receiver for the Edmonton Eskimos. He’s extremely dangerous and Mike Reilly knows when to look for him. He’s a difference maker in any one game he plays. Why do I bring up Zylstra? Because, Weston Dressler can be our Zylstra. He’s that good. All’s we have to do is use him. Not only will that free up our passing game, but Harris would feel the positive effects also. A win-win, in my books..

I laugh. This guy talks about professionalism and he procedes to act like a complete unprofessional. It’s a strange negotiating ploy. The Andy Mulumba saga takes yet another turn. Why can’t things go easy with this draft pick? He talks about Mulumba being a smart guy with international business acumen. Then why did he hire a putz?

1st BC Touchdown: 2nd BC Touchdown: -
Why are you still harping on Thorpe. It’s been explained every which way but loose. HE ASKED FOR HIS RELEASE. Yes, he was on the practice roster, where nearly every new player has to bide his time. Why is he any different? What makes him special? Nothing. Guess what? He would not be on any other team unless he went though their practice roster. And nobody’s asked...

Candidate for longest title for a thread start? I don’t see why Lankford is singled out for non-deep throws when Nichols has thrown many deep balls to Feoli-Gudino and has not connected once on them. And I’m a Feoli-Gudino fan... I don’t see Lankford as a proven receiver so far, but at least he caught 3 passes the other night and made an absolutely great catch on the sideline that ended out of bounds. Between he, and Washington, 7 catches in the game, and that’s progress.

We will do our best to end their 20 year playoff run. And it will be sweet. And there will be a smile on Harris, and Leggett and both those guys who were hit out of bounds..

There is huge flaw in that argument, but you have to be able to see what it is..

Wild doesn’t have to necessarily play SAM. He wouldn’t be in the lineup continuously in any case. He could be the 4th LB in a 3 rush situation, or, he could even fill in at MLB if they can work the ratio to be friendly. My point is, Wild gets to the ball. Get him a handful of reps if he can play..
