This says it all Except the score is wrong...

Can't let that get in your head. LaPo absolutely called a great game. We marched the ball up and down the field, almost at will. It's time to let your inner hatred of the man go. He's a weapon for us now.

3 stars plus HH broken esks streak edition
Mr Dee replied to wbbfan's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Not when he catches a bomb and scores a TD from it. Lankford has his moments and fights hard for extra yards. He's been a pleasant surprise. The Coaching staff will have some tough decisions to make. And, for a change, in a good way. -
And the Bomber fans agree..
-
Agree, agree agree. It used to be you could hold your ground. Now, you can draw a penalty. Its ludicrous and has to be changed. I'm holding my ground on this one...

Despite? LaPolice called a great game. The Eskimos were unsteady for most of the game with tempo and play calling. It was no accident this offence got 38 first downs. 38...

Some 3downnation predictions... Dunk: Mike Reilly goes down, but it won’t be without a fight. BOMBERS Hodge: The streak ends here. BOMBERS Edwards: The Esks have lost so many bodies to injury but Almondo Sewell is a bridge too far. BOMBERS Gasson: I keep betting against Winnipeg. The streak ends. BOMBERS Busby: Streak will end in a shootout. BOMBERS Smith: Edmonton has found a way all season, injuries be damned. ESKS Filoso: Edmonton keeps rolling. ESKS Totals: BOMBERS 5 ESKS 2

??Winnipeg has quietly moved from 7th to 2nd in sacks so far this season.. ??Justin Medlock vs Hugh O'Neill....'nough said ??The number of starters the Eskimos have out tonight can beat the number of starters the Bombers have out...but that's not the game we'll be playing.. ??Key matchup - Reilly vs Nichols. Under the right circumstances I'll take Nichols. And tonight have the right circumstances. "Heath is itching to get another pick.." Could a deal possibly be in the works for this "Clockwork Orange"-looking-guy to be traded to BC? ??

That's awesome. It clearly shows Miller is invested in this gig and wouldn't miss the opportunity for a good news story. Well done there Wade! Now, to go outside in my Bomber gear, here in Kelowna, and wait...

"28,500+ and counting. We don't need a sound meter to tell you it's about to get loud at Investors Group Field."

There's something about O'Shea not liking people with excess baggage, he just helps them out...

Hmm. Glenn...Nichols? You know what? I just cannot see Nichols laying down like Glenn did in the first game Sask played BC. Glenn is having a terrific year, it's just that he turtles in games like that one. So, Glenn...Nichols? Nichols, for me. -
But speedy, that is our offence. Every team may fall short on second down. That's a given. It's how you respond on second down. The Bombers are proving that they are getting adept at converting those. As long as we have momentum on those short throws, we have as good a chance as any to convert. We don't necessarily have 1 go to guy for this..we have several. That's a good thing.

Some good info on the Bombers... Steal & Deal: The @Wpg_BlueBombers have converted the 14 takeaways they’ve caused into 68 points, the league high. #CFL .@qterback5 & @Trev_Harris are each averaging 2 TD passes per game & are both on pace to record 36 TDs, a new career high for each. #CFL Since 2015, only two quarterbacks have recorded 10+ game-winning drives while trailing or tied in the fourth quarter: Mike Reilly (12) and Matt Nichols (10). In the same span, Trevor Harris has eight and Bo Levi Mitchell seven. So far this season, Reilly leads the league with four of these drives and Nichols is right behind him with three. Calgary has the best ratio with zero interceptions and eight touchdowns, followed by Winnipeg with one interception and seven touchdowns. Winnipeg’s Andrew Harris rushed for 107 yards on 14 carries (7.6 yards per rush) to mark the first time this season he has cracked a 100+ game. It’s the sixth time a player this season has gone over 100+ rushing yards (Andrew Harris, Cameron Marshall, Jerome Messam, LaDarius Perkins, Travon Van and John White). No player has multiple games of 100+ yards. Andrew Harris is on pace for 1,003 rushing yards and 872 receiving yards. He would become only the second player to rush for 1,000+ yards and get 800+ receiving yards in a season. Robert Drummond did so in 1997 with Toronto (1,134 RUSH, 840 REC). CFL Communications

All I want is an offence that gets the yardage we need. I don't care how we get it. We have guys that can do that. Harris, Thorpe, Lankford. Heck, any of our receivers. Even QB Nichols wants to run that. Its frustrating to see those short throws but @Noeller, is right, we're going to get defended for that yardage, but that doesn't stop us from trying..
-
O-line, schmo-line. I do think we can grind their O-Line down with a rotating core like we have been using. The key still, is Reilly. He's the MOP so far. Despite being out-manned, he finds a way for them to compete. We have to find a way to not let him compete. We can out-Special Team them, we can do a good job on them Offensively, and man for man we can defend against them. But if we let that QB Reilly-us-up, then we'll have stiff opposition, and lots of headaches. Velcro him into the pocket and we will have success. The boys really want it..

Edmonton @ Winnipeg No changes for the Bombers... Travis Bond on the Bombers getting a 'reputation' for 'gritty' play Who'd a thunk? Bombers are ahead of Eskis in sacks 2.9-2.7 per game 6/7 cfl writers have chosen Edmonton over Winnipeg. Only Don Landry has picked the Bombers. I'd be ok with that if he also wouldn't be the only one to pick the Argos in their match. "Definitely have to be on our Ps and Qs this week going against (Reilly). Great matchup." - TJ Heath "I feel like we have great confidence already." - Clarence Denmark Our proud O-Linemen: FOR THE W!

Listen, that's his storey, and he's sticking to it... -
O'Shea did address that very issue. He said that the outcome of a game is never guaranteed, as we well know, and he questions the benefit of having Davis coming in just to kill the clock, (last game example) They would undoubtedly be handing off the ball. All the QBs spend time running the same plays for the situations they will be up against to get the practice and to see what options each QB sees and takes. It's all captured on film, and discussed further in meetings. O'Shea says they have complete confidence in Davis, for example, and do not see the benefit of game time just filling in to hand off footballs.

And if the Eskimos try to throw up a densive wall against us, we know Hardrick will try and jump it...
