Yeah but, that was contingent on Ricky Ray staying in the game, so, all bets are off...?
-
Sure is hard not to dislike BLM, especially after that TD toss to McDaniel in the end zone, where he runs up to the guys and spews "too f...ing easy, let's go"...
-
Oh for f...'s sake. I don't give a ship if he thinks he's a Bomber fan. He's relinquished his membership as far as I'm concerned. You don't agree..fine, stand by your fan. Elitist? I consider the Bombers and their fans as working class, but they're not the ones who have dumped on the team and their Coach, are they? Can you tell me who is the one who has? And tell me why not any of the other putrid Coaches we've had over the years? No, you and him have a grudge against O'Shea, as is your prerogative, fine, but let's not get that mixed up with BS he's spewing.

This is how they got McDuffie.. Jeff Hamilton - The word is the Redblacks are paying Quincy McDuffie $100,000 for his services - that's for what's left on the year, not pro-rated.

They play every game with 100% effort. Now what was the other concern again?

From Ed Tait: Khari Jones (2000-04): 44-28-1,.610 Matt Nichols (2015-present): 15-10, .600 Kevin Glenn (2004-08): 35-37-1, .486 Buck Pierce (2010-13): 14-18, .438 Drew Willy (2014-16): 11-18, .379 Kerwin Bell (1999-2000): 7-17; .292 You should see the rest of the list. It's downright scary...https://www.bluebombers.com/2017/08/03/game-preview-wpg-ott/ ??Out of 27 QBs mentioned, only two QBs who have started at least 18 games have a winning record...Jones and Nichols More from Ed Ottawa is the only team in CFL history to have each of their first six games of a season all decided by five points or less. YAC attack: the Bombers lead the CFL with 48 percent of their passing yards being gained after the catch is made; Ottawa is second at 39 percent. Winnipeg is leading the league with a 31.4 points-per-game scoring average, but also has the highest two-and-out rate in the league at 37 percent. Weird one Ottawa receivers Greg Ellingson and Brad Sinopoli have combined for 76 the team’s 158 receptions, and have been on target for 47 per cent of passes thrown. In their last game, they were held to just six receptions combined, their third-lowest total since joining the REDBLACKS.

Why would he be on the outside? Well, when you publicly rebuke the HC and publicly flaunt your fan support of the team, you can certainly fake being in with those who have backed the Bombers, but really, is it the same? I know you're in his corner in regards to MOS, but to align himself with Wiecek is an insult to sports fans and sports writers everywhere. AND, as already mentioned, the Bombers have had WAY crazier HCoaches and teams, all in the recent past, and he sat through those. Only to give up now..in support of Wiecek? It defies logic..

I'm one of two fans on this board who have chosen Toronto to beat Calgary.. But if they don't, then I'm not driving there 3-4 days each way anymore. And if I had season tickets, I'd cancel them too. So there!

A day in the life of a D-lineman “Coach (Todd) Howard came over and he was like ‘Welcome to the club. You’re finally part of the D-line, you got your first dislocated finger,’” Corney said after practice. “Then he showed me his fingers and they were all mangled and stuff. He impressed his teammates by immediately returning to practice after the finger was restored to its proper position and even drew huge cheers for his effort. “Trent, Trent, Trent, Trent,” the players chanted as he ran back onto the field and prepared for the weekly sled-throwing contest. http://www.winnipegsun.com/2017/08/02/blue-bombers-corney-dislocates-finger-at-practice?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+feedrinse%2FRWsG+(Blue+Bombers+Channel)

Yeah, for that matter, he will have to quit on all sports he watches because it's "obvious what the outcome was going to be" How can anybody watch sports this way?
-
Don't forget, Toronto isn't shackled by a dressing room where the AC isn't working this week. (Wonder how that happened to only one dressing room in that marvellous new facility? Hmm)

Oh so very wrong about Dickenson. That team is primed for fishing expeditions. They are the leaders in that regard. Their games feature players coming up all the time with signals to the bench, to throw the challenge flag, especially on contact issues. They are ever so ready to do, so that must mean they have spotters ready to troll. In fact, they have been accused of "staging" contact on defenders, so that they have backup clips to 'fish' for.

Regular Season - Bomber News, Developments & Speculation
Mr Dee replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
It's not likely, but wouldn't it be a huge middle finger to all the naysayers if we could feature 2 NI starting receivers in the lineup when injuries take their toll? -
Calgary @ Toronto ?? Some interesting game notes for this West - East confrontation.. Ricky Ray has passed for 2,282 yards - an average of 380.3 per game and has recorded a career-high 6 straight games of 300+ yards. Andrew Buckley 10-for-10: The Calgary #2 QB challenged the CFL record last week for most pass attempts in a game without an interception or incompletion. Home team dominance 16-8: The home team has now won the last 7 CFL games and 12 of the last 14. For the season home teams have dominated winning 16 times to just 8 losses. West Division clubs have won the last 6, and 12 of the last 13 inter-divisional games. Toronto's record is a good example of this effect as they are 3-0 vs the East, and 0-3 vs the West in 2017. This game features the #1 and #2 offences in the CFL with Calgary at 420.2 yards per game and Toronto at 401.5. Calgary comes in with six consecutive wins over Toronto and 7 in the last 8 meetings. Last week the Stamps did not target McDaniel on any of their pass attempts and thus his magnificent streak of 76 straight games with at least one reception ended. He last failed to catch a pass on Aug 25/12 (and he was not targeted in that game either). ??(not that they had to) Jerome Messam rushing: In his first 4 games he had 48 carries for 188 yards, 1 TD and an average of only 3.9 yards. Since being ejected on Jul 14/17, his totals are: 39 carries for 226 yards, 4 TDs and a 5.8 yard average. Calgary O-Line Excellence: The Stampeders have not allowed a Sack in the last two games and just two in the last 4 contests in 2017. They went 3 games in a row last year without allowing a Sack on their QBs and over their last 22 games have given up just 20 or less than one per game. What makes it more remarkable is that 11 different players have started over this 22-game span. Bo Levi Mitchell 16 games in a row: Mitchell is off to a career-best start this season with a 5,496-yard pace despite sitting out the entire 2nd half last week. He is now riding a streak of 16 consecutive games with at least one TD pass (Reminder: games where a QB does not see the field at all are excluded from streak calculation as no opportunity is there to extend it). Mitchell has thrown at least one TD pass in 37 of his last 38 games. Anthony Coombs: Over his last 3 games he made 25 receptions which is tied for #1 in the CFL for all players over Weeks #4-6. Over his last two games Ray has not thrown an interception covering 93 straight pass attempts. He has just 3 picks in 266 throws this year. Shawn Lemon: Has logged 4 Sacks and 9 QB Pressures over his last 5 games and ranks #3 for the season with 11 Pressures overall. His total of 15 Sacks & Pressures is tied for #1 in the CFL

The Coaching staff of the Blue Bombers are fully capable of reviewing any situation that comes up and making future decisions based on that. I'm sure they take all factors in consideration and discuss these matters way more than we give them credit for. I'm not convinced Miller interferes with game decisions, although he may have suggestions. Miller, Walters, and O'Shea. These guys have worked together, but I'm convinced each is allowed to do their job. There is no reason to believe otherwise...

And that's the key to surprising the RedBlacks with our unassuming lineup of receivers. It would be a good time to break out the Offensive package that has us spreading the ball around and featuring our weapons like Flanders and Harris. This has the hallmarks of being a very exciting game..

I read this last night and was confused as to why you would even write drivel like this on a Bomber forum. If you can agree with a poor writer, with an agenda, then that must mean you have an agenda also. I don't take being a Bomber fan lightly, as apparently you do, so this is extra motivation for me to pull even harder for MIKE O'SHEA to do well, smirk and all, so that you will be on the outside looking in when we hoist the cup. You and Paul Wiecek.
-
No, but it's part of Bomber folklore by now, and once a statement is made, it flows like the wind and is repeated like a Winchester rifle.
-
I disagree. Wally was one of the last ones to even use the Coaches' challenges and he was learning on the go. He wasn't very successful at the start. Now, if you're talking about this year, Buono was going with the flow, but you have to remember, it was actually Lulay who was influencing Buono. Wally's no dummy and if other teams have an advantage, it won't be long before he steps up.
-
??Two of the smartest men GM wise and Coaching wise, wanted specific changes to the challenge process: "Buono endorsed the decision by the league Wednesday to limit the number of challenges that can now be thrown by he and his colleagues." "“(It’s) fishing I don’t like and the fishing that’s killing our game,” he said on his regular weekly appearance on TSN 1040’s 3 Down Radio. “Let’s us as a league say to the coach ‘you can’t fish because we’re not going to let you challenge’.” "Buono said he and Calgary counterpart John Hufnagel have tag-teamed to change some aspects of the challenge process but though the two didn’t have enough support from others on the rules committee to effect additional change is satisfied progress has been made." http://3downnation.com/2017/08/02/reduced-challenge-fishing-endorsed-lions-coach/

Ear's the audio clip of Jason Maas...with the no comments... https://omny.fm/shows/ched/aug-2-jason-maas-and-mike-reilly-comment-on-the-ch?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+omnycontent%2FdVON+(CHED-+Eskimos)

I just saw a video clip of the media talking with Maas after practice. He told them, right off the bat, NO QUESTIONS ABOUT CHALLENGES! Some tried to re-phrase a question and Maas cut them off completely. NO QUESTIONS...etc. He was adamant and curt, somewhat like Austin used to be like. Maas is becoming easier to disike each week. I heard from MOS, Buono, Jones, Austin and Campbell, and all are in favour of this new change. Don't know about Dickenson, Chapdelaine and Trestman..

Yes, but now you only get 1 challenge..so beware

Around the League - Regular Season Discussion (Redux)
Mr Dee replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
The person whom twitter was apparently named after, has responded to the League's latest decision. It looks like he believes holding is what is holding him back, and it will get worse. Ah, no Duron, there will still be refs out there..
