  1. There's no smoking at IGF field, right? Well how come Darvin Adams smoked that Argo?
  2. ?‍? Special shout to Brian Walker for the chase down on Jackson…when Walker was actually the first man downfield on the play. Wow, what speed. Keep you're eye on #22.
  3. I don't understand your logic. Isn't it better than barely losing to SSK and TO?
  4. I've read in different spots, here and elsewhere, about all the Argo TD drops. I can only attribute 1 drop to a player and that was Brandon Whitaker, who tried to catch a sidearm throw, by catching sidearm himself. The other 2 non-catches in the end zone by Argo players were actually fantastic defensive plays by the Bombers involved. Firstly, there was Brandon Alexander sticking a hand through Edwards arms and knocking the ball out. Fantastic. And here it is: This was just before the Whitaker drop. Next, kudos go to TJ Heath, instant star in this game, for swatting the ball while it was in Green's hands in the end zone. Couldn't get a decent shot of it, but that's the last thing you see before the ball comes out.
  5. Now That was a football game! Let's see, Keep SJ Green in check - ✔️ Get to QB R.Ray - ✔️ Out sack the sack leading team - ✔️ Allow no offensive TDs - ✔️ Get that offence rolling - ✔️ Win at home - ✔️ Keep the penalties down - ✔️ Protect your QB - ✔️ Disappoint Rider fans - ✔️ You know, that was a pretty good defence we beat..
  6. Let's go with Harris for the Hardrick..in the end zone...into the stands!
  7. It's worth repeating... As the Four Seasons sang, "Oh, What a Night"
  8. You might, or might not be, far off the mark, Mark. Of course, I could be wrong.
  9. Statistically , we're going to win. From Ed Tait: The Bombers are 11-4 in their last 15 games dating back to late last July, when quarterback Matt Nichols, guard Travis Bond and safety Taylor Loffler were all inserted into the starting lineup. Two of those losses were against Calgary, a third came versus the Edmonton Eskimos, and the other was against the Grey Cup champion Ottawa REDBLACKS. • Over that same 15-game stretch, only the Stamps – at 13-1-1 – have a better record than Winnipeg. (B.C. and Edmonton are 10-5, Montreal is 6-9, Ottawa is 5-9-1, Saskatchewan is 5-10, Hamilton is 4-11 and Toronto is 3-12, including a 2-1 start this year). Realistically, we're going to do as fine as Matt Nichols plays. It's simple. As long as Matt Nichols performs, we'll keep the defence off the field and R Ray on the bench and we will win. Next question?
  10. I WANT TO HEAR THAT DA*MN CANNON GO OFF TONIGHT!! MANY, MANY TIMES!!
  11. The Bombers are making two changes to the Squadron tonight and I'm super pumped to see both of them play. Jackson Jeffcoat is gonna show some kind of awesome tonight and who doesn't want to see Knox hitting constantly. That guy can hit. I almost feel sorry for the Argos...
  12. CFL GAME NOTES ….The 2017 season has been remarkable in that each team has started their #1 QB in EVERY game. -To date only John White (EDM: 104 yards on June 24th) has a 100-yard game. -The four winning clubs had a total of just 3 Turnovers compared to 10 by losing teams and held an edge with far fewer penalties with only 24 compared to 36 by the opposition. -Rushing is down - average per game has dropped to only 150 yards per game, just 19% of the total yards gained (rushing + passing). This is the lowest proportion of the total in the entire history of the CFL. -The record for consecutive unbeaten starts by a CFL QB is now 19 for Bo Levi Mitchell after last week’s Calgary win. -Current FG Made Streaks: Sean Whyte and Justin Medlock are now each at 24 in a row dating back to 2016. -Teams have attempted 78 Field Goals in 2017, an average of 6.5 per game. This is the highest per game average in 26 years (1991: 6.7 per game). -Ricky Ray will be making his 204th career start (105-97-1) and lifetime vs Winnipeg he is 13-10-1 in 24 starts. More specifically, Ray is 4-8 in 12 starts in Winnipeg -This start for Nichols will be his 16 straight for the Bombers. The last Winnipeg QB to start 16 games in a row was way back in 2008 when Kevin Glenn started 30 consecutive games across 2006-2008. -Victor Butler and Shawn Lemon: Have combined for 9 sacks and 12 QB Pressures thus far
  13. I've always been under the impression it's saved for cannonating drives...
  14. Yes, Wild did miss tackles last year. That was surprising. But he was still there..in position. And you know who else missed a lot of tackles last year? Khalil Bass.
  15. Tackles as an overrated stat? So, I guess non-tackles are an underrated stat.? To me, when a guy has an armful of tackles, it means he is in on the play..a lot. I can't see how that can be a bad stat for that player to have on his record.
  16. Wild is looked upon as a smart, aggressive LBer who can cover on passing plays. As mentioned, the guy makes plays. But I guess this is an attempt to smudge the Scouting staff. Lets first see if no one else can play on the Wild side before we condemn anybody's recruiting...
  17. Now this is a great idea to get the ball rolling for attendance in Toronto..
  18. I cringe when players get beat on passing plays, whether through assignment or poor tackling, but I absolutely abhor simple plays like lining up offside in obvious situations. This is just beyond ignorant, and it really cost us. It is the simplest thing to set 1 yard off the line and check others who are in the same situation. KEEP YOURSELF AND OTHERS IN CHECK! It's not that hard. This should have been drilled in to every player's heads early and often all TC and preseason. I do not want to see another D-Line offside again this year or else, I'll really be mad ? Really, I will..
  19. I'd be surprised if there wasn't communication back and forth between Glen Johnson and Randy Ambrosie. Ambrosie doesn't seem the sort not to get his facts straight before making a decision... Besides, if Johnson actually reviewed the play in question, he might reverse the decision and and call the Official for illegal contact on a player downfield..?
  20. A tough first decision for the new Commish, but the quick response and the promise of a new policy is a good start for Randy baby... So, Singleton gets an eviction (half game day pay) plus a full day's pay deducted. Plus all eyes ? ? will be on Will..
  21. Singleton, and it isn't close..
  22. See, you must have missed it. ? Adarius Bowman has been dropping passes. Just because they didn't play this week, doesn't change that fact. It is, after all, after week 3...
  23. I leave it up to others...to do the Bomber offsides. There's enough of those who'll do that, right Floyd?
