  1. Ottawa did the same thing we did...essentially gave the game away. 17 points, off a fumble, an interception and a quick kick that was poorly executed. So, the Argos scored a FG and a great long pass play to SJ Green on their own. We can stop their Offence. It's their defence we should be concerned with. Our Offence better be ready for their attack because they have some very good players who will give our O-Line fits. If we play a full game, we'll get the W.
  2. AFTER WEEK 3 Bye - Edmonton Ed Tait - Ottawa Redblacks have signed former #Bombers draft pick Zach Intzandt, an OL. Saskatchewan surrendered all four Winnipeg touchdowns while rushing only three men. - @robvanstone #CFL #Riders CFL News. - In passing situations, the #Riders rushed with three nearly 60 per cent of the time. - @robvanstone #CFL The Redblacks, who have both of their byes in the final three weeks of the season, are going into a very tough portion of the schedule — July 14-24 — where they play three games in 11 days. Toronto Sun Drew Edwards - The #AlsMtl acquired the 2015 first round pick they used on Jacob Ruby by trading OL Ryan Bomben to the #Ticats. They released Ruby today. CFL Headlines - Riders receiver Caleb Holley added to six-game injured list goo.gl/fb/33trCP via @JDunk12 #CFL Derek Taylor - Weird random stat...@sskroughriders Kevin Glenn is 9/13 on passes at or behind the line of scrimmage (69%). 90% last season. - Two players have 10+ targets and a 100% catch rate so far. Oddly, neither is a RB: @ArmantiEdwards & @Demski9 CFL News - Inch by inch, mile by mile Ambrosie thinks he'll win millenials over to enjoying the #CFL.-If Ambrosie acts as commish like he did at that presser, I think we're in good hands. Understated, humble, smart. And seems to get it. #CFL Onside - Sam Hurl…moving on up Offside - Adarius Bowman …disturbing drops surface again Onside - Justin Medlock Offside - Tyler Crapigna Onside - Weston Dressler Offside - Duron Carter still a dink Onside - TJ Heath Offside - Roc Carmichael Onside - Ricky Ray 300 TDs Offside - Ill-Will Hill thou shalt not grab an official.. CFL News - The fishing expeditions are back. Really, really frustrating. Away from the play. Come on. #CFL ?‍? Prime example - in the Bomber game. Completely not related to the action, Dickenson challenges a weak call on Randle, and the C’mon Centre bites on it… #REDBLACKS sign former @sskroughriders defensive lineman @JNEW_11. Derek Taylor - #Bombers boundary side proficiency continues. Through 2 games: 69% comp, 0 TD, 4 INT, 48.8 passer rating Scott Billeck - Some #Bombers notes: WPG is now 1-for-5 on the year from red zone. That’s never good. Andrew Harris - Left too much out on the field tonight.. We will be better #ForTheW! Always #Relentless ?‍?Cumulative West Division record 8-4-1 Cumulative East Division record 3-7-1 And both Ottawa (Edmonton) and Hamilton (BC) could still be winless after week 4 ?‍?In the ‘I-did-not-know’ department, Head Coach Kent Austin took over play calling for the Offence from OC Stefan Ptaszek after giving him 1 game! ?‍?Is the undisciplined play of the Ticats (15 penalties 157 yards) a reflection of the ever grumpy Austin? How about that I'll-Will Hill? “Penalties are a concern, especially stupid ones. Undisciplined players aren’t going to play for us,” Austin said. “If you’re going to hurt the football team and you have a pattern of doing that, you won’t play for us.” Kent Austin - 3downnation ?‍?The phrases, mass confusion and discombobulation, were evoked by Drew Edwards as he described Hamilton’s defence. ?‍? WANTED : IMPACT PLAYER(S) One on offence - as an EXCEPTIONAL receiver and play maker. Must be good! One on defence - as an exceptional linebacker who TACKLES EVERYBODY on the opposing team who gets the ball. Apply to MBB for a thorough gauntlet run.. *Glenn completed passes to seven different receivers. ?‍?So, Duron Carter, as we witnessed in the last game, can throw more than a hissy fit eh?.. Dave Campbell - CHED - HC Jason Maas says RB Kendial Lawrence will handle the kick return duties and backup Travon Van who is now the starting RB. #Eskimos #CFL Ian Hamilton - The Roughriders got a good push up front, registering 11 quarterback pressures — including three each by ends Willie Jefferson and A.C. Leonard — and holding Hamilton to 27 yards rushing on 10 attempts. ?‍?Argos pass rush resulted in 5 sacks… ?‍?Thrilling - SJ Green 10 receptions 210 yards..massive Victor Butler - 7 Sacks so far in 3 games Toronto Argos - 66 receivers. 300 touchdowns. One more milestone for Ricky Ray. ? To open the game - The Bombers ran 15 plays to Calgary’s two, had the ball for seven minutes and 57 minutes of the first 8:43 of the game, and had diddly to show for it. Ed Tait - Justin Medlock was one-for-one in the field goal department to push his consecutive streak to 24, a club record. Consider this: since beginning his days as a Bomber by hitting eight of his first 12 attempts (66.7), Medlock is 61 of 66 (92.4 per cent). Weston Dressler hit the 9,000 mark in career receiving yards Friday night, becoming just the 27th player in CFL history to do so. ?‍?Peculiar or brilliant idea? To describe the call for a quick kick by Ottawa, behind in the game, close to their goal line?..?.. ?‍?Personally, I see nothing in that Toronto-Ottawa game that said to me that Toronto ‘won’ that game..but rather the RedBlacks ‘lost ‘ it.. AlsMtl - The Alouettes added international defensive back Brandon Stewart to the roster. #AlsMTL Blue Bombers - The #Bombers will make QB Jack Jacobs the tenth inductee into the Ring of Honour—old Winnipeg/CanadInns Stadium "the house that Jack built." WEEK 4 TORONTO @ WINNIPEG CALGARY @ MONTREAL OTTAWA @ EDMONTON BC @ HAMILTON BYE - SASKATCHEWAN
  3. All those unnecessary ***********s. Its a joke Tman. For the "T"
  4. That's it then. It's settled T(for Toronto)Burgess. Congratulations on your new team and say hi to Bluto!
  5. No matter what, Kevin Glenn has been playing lights out with his quick release and identifying blitzes. He only got sacked once, by no-ill Will Hill. 32/43 for 380 yards and 2 TDs and ONLY 1 pic6. Of course they had the ball over 13 minutes more than that putrid Hamilton offence, but what the hey!
  6. The Bear, the Butler and a Ball. A circus? No, the making of a good defensive unit..
  7. Well, this is the goal now isn't it? The reason for staff continuity and piling up good draft picks.. I agree. If you can find at least two worthy starters per year, and if you have a starting QB, you will build a good team. And then, keep adding to it.
  8. So, between a Roc and a wide space..
  9. Despite what some are complaining about, our defence actually had a fairly good game. We're talking about BLM and his high flying offence. The guy has only lost 7 games in his career and this game he was held to 22 points offensively. 10 of those were on turnovers. No, it was turnovers and a below average performance from our QB that led to this loss.
  10. I don't care how well Carmichael shows in practice. He isn't getting it done. It's his recognition, or more precisely, his lack of recognition. Teams don't have to pick on him all the time, they can just wait and chose their spots..usually for a massive gain, if not a TD. I think it was Ed Tait who pointed out that Calgary has a veteran secondary with 251 combined CFL starts. The Bombers, by comparison, have 99; (69 by Chris Randle) It showed..
  11. The loss? Pretty disappointing in the fact that we didn't play better for the crowd. Otherwise, the fact remains we stood up to Calgary for a good portion of he game despite handing them 16 points. You just can't do that against any team, never mind the Stamps. They are a championship caliber team. We are not..yet. They held the stamps to 9 points in the first half and came up with 10 of their own. That was huge..considering the turnovers. But despite that, Calgary adjusted and we didn't adjust to their adjustments. Couple that with more turnovers, and you're not going to beat them. We had to play a fairly clean game. We didn't. Penalties weren't a factor unless you count that iffy call of PI that Dickenson threw a challenge flag on, after an incomplete pass…on the other side of the field…away from the play. Those calls have got to go. This was part of a sequence that led to 3 points for the Stamps, followed by a sack on Nichols, on the next series of downs. Again the Bombers stopped the Stamps, but the backbreaker, and end of game for us, came on Nichols pic 6. That was it for the Blue. Momentum gone and Calgary took over. Aside from a couple of players, Carmichael and Lankford, I believe we have a decent team. We should be able to muster 10 wins for a playoff spot. We will get better.
  12. TONIGHT, I WOULD HEARTILY ENCOURAGE EVERYBODY TO:
  13. Aside from tonight's super exciting game, I can't wait until tomorrow's game with Hamilton at Saskatchewan. With all this bullfrog coming out of the Rider side of the field, nothing would be better than a loss to the underdog Ticats. It doesn't even have to be because of the kicker. Maybe a non brilliant Coaching decision? What are the odds of that?
  14. LOFFLER WILL BE FLYING HIGH AGAIN TONIGHT,
  15. THAT WAS A WEAK CALL THAT WILL INFLUENCE THE GAME.. Weak call of the week, or week call of the weak
  16. Although I hate in-game interviews, I already like the new Commissioner because he went quiet a couple of times and let the play develop..
  17. Except for the quick study and students of the game and the very cerebral part, that's how I would describe our posters here..?
  18. What's Manny got to do with it?
  19. I have to agree with this. There are many factors responsible for attendance in past days and you simply can't say "Okay, everything's fine now, come on back." And the 33,000+ number is a goal to try to reach. It shouldn't be expected all the time. Hopefully, in the future...
  20. More on Duron Carter..how he and his receiver's Coach Markus Howell are spinning Carter's 'handling' of the face mask incident. To me, it is utter and complete bull****... "The league made a ruling and we stand by the decision," Rider receivers coach Markus Howell said on CKRM's Coaches Show on Wednesday. "Duron and I sat down and watched the film and made the necessary corrections. It wasn't intentional on his part. The ball was intercepted and Duron was trying and run down and make a tackle, and knock a guy out of the way. He caught his facemask instead of his shoulder pad. Duron accepts the fine and we're moving on."
  21. ?‍? What I'm only beginning to realize, after watching him now for a year and a bit, is how good and complete a player Weston Dressler really is.. For the 'W'
  22. Veteran DB Brandon Stewart signs with Montreal goo.gl/fb/mSwppW via @JDunk12 #CFL RT .@DidierRDS - The #AlsMTL have signed QB Anthonio Pipkins. They now have six QBs on their roster. @CFL #CFL GAME NOTES -There have been 36 sacks in 8 games for an average of 4.5 per game. -Montreal has yet to allow a QB Sack in 2017 -#BCLions with 10 defensive linemen on the depth chart for Thursday's game in Montreal #CFL -The Alouettes-Lions game this week will seem like a BC reunion as SIX current Montreal players have been with their opponent in the past. Former Lions with Montreal now: (No of games with BC - Total: 512).........Ryan Phillips 212 Jovan Olafioye 126 Jabar Westerman 85 SJ Haidara 34 Stefan Logan 29 Ernest Jackson 26 -Jonathan Jennings is 2-0 lifetime versus the Alouettes -Jonathon Mincy is on the 6 game injury list. Current FG Made Streaks: An update of CFL Kickers current FG made streaks with Sean Whyte and Justin Medlock now each at over 20 in a row dating back to 2016. Justin Medlock is on the longest streak of his career (previous high: 22), while Sean Whyte has matched his previous long run (24 in 2011): Of the seven winning teams thus far, only two have been on the positive side for Possession Time. Five losing teams have won the TOP battle and on average clubs who have lost have averaged 31:15 to 28:45 for the opposition. This year there have been very slow starts to scoring as the by-quarter breakdown shows. Scoring in the opening quarter has averaged just 6.4 points per game and only 11% of the total: The average points per game across the CFL through the first 8 contests is 56.1 points per game, the highest it has been since 2008 (56.2 ppg). Among the teams with at least two games played the Lions have drawn the fewest penalties in the CFL at 6.5 per game. They have just two defensive calls against them compared to Edmonton whose defence has been flagged 13 times. Montreal's defensive unit comes into this week ranked #2 with just 19.5 opponent offensive points allowed. Overall as a team they are #1 at 19.5 per game ahead of Toronto and BC both at 21.5 per game against. The Argonauts lead the league with 9 sacks followed by BC Lions and Edmonton Eskimos each with five. DeVier Posey (TOR) leads the league in receiving yards in 2017 with 218. -Greg Ellingson has the most targets this season with 23, followed by Bryan Burnham, Marquay McDaniel and Posey each with 20.
  23. I see no problems with these supplemental drafts at all. If there's a need, and these players can fit the need...all the better. Supplements are supposed to be good for you aren't they?
