Well Paul, I couldn't have said it better myself. Really, I couldn't have said it like that. But it illustrates Enstrom's value in the eyes of the Coaches. The key word Maurice used is effective. Enstrom is effective. He's one of the many NHL defencemen in the NHL that quietly go about doing their job, and aren't really noticed, except by those GMs and Coaches who respect their work.
-
Enstrom is a consistent, smart d-man for the Jets. A smaller version of Teppo Numminen. He remains the top +- performer on an underperforming team this year. There is a reason Maurice has an appreciation for his type of game..he performs well.
-
Do you mean improvement from end-point last year? Because, there was noticeable extra special teams play improvement when MOS took over last year. There will be improvement again this year, I feel, because I would suspect the HC doesn't want it to be a distraction like it was last year. I would prefer someone else handle the duties, at least an assistant, but, even though his name is not Chris Jones...he can handle it.
-
Yeah, there's a chance. But the cost would be high. Probably 3 or 4 scouts and some support staff..
-
I don't know about you guys, but I'm getting a little tired hearing about the massive contingent of Riders' support/scouting staff being flouted at every opportunity. This is the CFL combine, in one location, with everybody there at the same time. Eye-ya-eye. I mean, has it even been proven that 20 different opinions will work massively better than 10 different opinions?

Gonna make damn sure the receivers go where they're supposed to go..

Welcome. I wonder if we're somehow related.

I'd consider it a good thing if we had reason to swag..

Game 63 : Islanders @ Executive Decision

We've had bad faceoffs before, but that was ridiculous. What a shitty way to lose a very entertaining game. Good hustle tonight - Stafford, Lowry and Burmistrov. Myers. 122 shots on goal, no, not tonight - for the season. Career high 124. And Scheifele? A force to be reckoned with last night. 2 goals, 5 shots on net and most ice time by a Jets forward. Burmistrov had the 3rd highest ice time for forward, even after that slash (Clutterbuck got away with a slicing slash to Burmistrov's...back, or back of the legs? - "The Isles and Cal dodged a bullet." http://www.lighthousehockey.com/game-recaps) Wheeler is fast. Ehlers is fast and quick..and is going to be really good. Dano-boy is hit, hit, hitting...(7 hits) Thought the forwards looked good. The usual suspects. 17 shots were blocked by the Islanders I like the new penalty killing system. (Islanders 0-4) "the PK system is evolving" Ha, good one Hutch. (Breakout pass on a line change) Enstrom, +15 - highest on the Jets. (Before the game) Tied with 6 other defence men @ +15. Only 7 D-men have better plus/minus numbers than this group. -

If you're talking about the slash to the back of Burmistrov's leg, then you're showing your bias and you should be embarrassed. No dive there. -
Game 62 : Panthers @ Turbulence

Really nice play by Burmistrov to get the puck, and feed the puck, for the jets 2nd goal. Burmistrov is having a fine game. 21-7 shots on net for the Jets. Luongo is having a very good game too. -
Darren Cameron Blog (for discussion): "Patience Is A Virtue"

This is the email I received in response to my enquiry as to why this blog was mis-credited. Hello Mr Dee Thank you for your email .. The article was written by Darren Cameron not Rheanne .. she was the person who posted the article. When they changed the website it automatically records the poster not the person who wrote the article. This is something the Communications Team will be more aware of going forward. Thanks for your support and have a great day.. Carol I have a good feeling Carol did write this response.. -

And this is your opinion. Just because she's only been in her current position for 16 months does not mean she hasn't been with the org. longer. -

*****, *****, *****, (female dog, female dog, female dog) A soft article comes out in a flavour favourable to the Home Team and invokes such negative reactions. What these people are complaining about is the exact culture of losing that the Bombers are trying to change. As if the names spewed out here, don't want to win with all their being. -

We be tankin' it (official tanking thread) ...

OK, if it's a lottery that the Jets have to be involved with, for the good of the team, on the day of the lottery, due to my lottery record, I promise to stay far away from the proceedings. You're all welcome.. -
This situation didn't start this year and won't be resolved this year. The makeup of the jets had to be addressed for the long term when they arrived here from Atlanta. Does anybody not think the Jets "organization", in its totality, is better off now than when they were a franchise in Atlanta? Did fans really believe because the Jets made the playoffs last year that 'powerhouse team' was just around the corner? From where we were, to where the Jets are headed, I believe this team is way ahead. Now, what has to be addressed is the right mixture of heady vets and ready rooks. There's talent there, we just have to have it complemented.

I haven't seen too many folks take Cameron's articles and use the facts to take shots of other fans lately. There are lots of articles out there that are shining each team's smooth moves. I don't see why this is any different. Inside info, such as other players calling potential recruits, is extra spice in the intrigue.

Good gawd, what a beautiful goal by Armia..
