Uniform changes with Adidas may not be dramatic
Mr Dee replied to IC Khari's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
There's nothing in the Blue and Gold history of storied Blue and Gold regular uniforms that I would ever describe as 'pukey'. Take it back. -
^^^^ Ottawa released McDonald on his birthday after taking an objectionable conduct penalty the previous game.

Snapshot - If you take our roster pre-free agency and factor in the players that were eligible for FA, then add the additions, you get a brief view where the team has upgraded. It was expensive, but the National upgrade was good, and the RB upgrade should be huge. The kicking game should not lose us any games. Also, the biggie, for me, was the DL upgrade. It should make for a better defence overall. Original (Free agent list) Roster Replacements (where applicable) Capers, Selvish OL International - Jeff Keeping OL Nat. Gibson, Thaddeus DL International - Keith Shologan DL Nat. Hajrullahu, Lirim K National Signed with TOR (02/09/16) - Justin Medlock K Int. And played the rest of the game.... He's proving be as tough as Ehlers.

Can we just get off this notion that we should have acquired Bourke as an answer to the o-Line woes. It makes no sense. No upgrade if we have to move Bryant out...even if we could. And the cost? Think no Harris, as a consequence of the price paid. Bourke is not the be-all, end-all cure for us. Walters has to look elsewhere to upgrade the depth and the talent level of the line.

The Grey Cup kerfuffle. So, with this announcement of an outdoor game featuring the Jets and Oilers, can we assume that Bettman has forgiven that big, mean Wade Miller for stepping on his toes? Or was there nothing there to begin with...like most of us thought?

This 71 man roster looks..intriguing at this particular time, with a whole of time to go. There is an exceptional amount of players still left as Free Agents but, unless there's a real tag sale, I don't expect any more notable additions from there. We will add the customary 4-6 players from Free Agent tryouts, or maybe more, if they're targeting O-Line guys. The secondary? Not really worried about that aspect as there is room to maneuver with this roster. The fact they seem to be high enough on Posey and Kearney, to keep them so long, also is noteworthy. Also, extremely noteworthy, is the low quantity of OLinemen on the roster. Yikes. The one aspect of this roster for me this year will be keeping an eye out for the player(s) to look out for. For me the list includes: 1) lb Tony Burnett 2) WR Quincy McDuffie 3) lb Kyle Knox 4) rec Addison Richards 5) DB Garrett Waggoner and of course, 6) all three roster QBs - Quentin Williams, Dominque Davis, and Brian Bennett And, except for the colour ?, thanks to Atomic for the effort in putting together that chart..

Looking forward to seeing and believing in Andrew Harris. Harris says, in this interview, that he had no problem with Buono (think Tedford) and the relationship is good. http://www.bluebombers.com/2016/02/12/press-conference-andrew-harris/ Walters was saying that Kelly Bates (former Lion's RB coach) was extremely impressed with Harris's football knowledge and his grasp of what the receivers should be doing, what the o-line is should be doing and the understanding of the different Offensive packages. This whole thing with him in there is going to be fun.

You could say it was the placement on the field....20 yards back. ?

This year's version of the CFL schedule should be much more fan friendly without the nonsense the Argos and the League have been put through at Toronto's Rogers Rogers's Centre. TSN may actually be thinking of showing next year's Free Agent frenzy..

From Marshawn to Marshall. Not bad. Way to go Cameron, way to go..

Let's see, to get Henoc, a team has to agree to assume his contract of $235,000, pay him a bonus (included) of $55,000 before next week, and if Henoc chooses, he could bolt again in a year. And, for that privilege, you have to give Montreal high picks? The stampede for his services should begin at any time.
-
Replacing a top left tackle with another top left tackle doesn't seem to be the solution...
-
I don't understand the thinking in Muamba's camp last year when they were on that tour. Could they not see the bonus was scheduled AFTER FA? With Ellsworth and Woods in tow, it was a bit of a bait and switch scheme. Now, no team will touch him until the 16th, after a few teams have spent their planned monies. With his tweet on 'finding he was being offered up in trade talks,' it sounds like he wasn't expecting this. Should have just come home last year big boy, should have just come home..
-
I really think the Sabres were the ones who were buffaloed in this trade.
-
Really? You'd take him if he was practically gifted to us? Strict guidelines you have.. ?
-
The return of Henoc would be a story...but that is all. We won't be taking that book out of the library again. Montreal, on the other hand, seems to have painted themselves into a corner in the French room, and it will be interesting if any of the teams from last year's tour, provide an escape route for Popp. Would be a lot of money for maybe a rental player.
-
Spoil the party before we even get the plates out...but...you're right.
-
So, Henoc's CFL tour last year was all for naught? Henoc, come home..
-
It's only prudent to 'get' the players you targeted before you make the necessary cuts, IMO. The Sask. situation is extremely different, and mostly a one-timer. We may be over the limit at the moment, but there are still a lot of roster movements to be made.

In relation to the total makeup of our roster, we are severely low in numbers at the O-Line position. As we ventured forth or fourth, from last season, we can see Walters had a SMS plan, and a plan entering FA. He's following that plan, and right now, we're better off for it. Walters also said they're comfortable with the makeup of the O-Line, and he stressed, "at this time". It seems they have an idea on what to do. They have a plan. Good gawd, I sure hope they do.

...and you won't regret it. (no ards) Welcome

While I respect the way the players they signed, you're undervaluing the 'fills' of our roster signings. Capiccotti to our Cummings. Lawrence to our Harris. Greg Jones at LB, where we had no need. BUT On defence, our biggest area of concern, from play one to the last play, was our D-Line, and it wasn't even close. Giving up the run...no proper rush to help the DBs. It was as close to pitiful as you could get. And now we have a legit, no, beyond legit, D-line. What value can you place on that? Depth in Canadian signings still has lots of value and we did well there. AND There's huge upside in how well our Offence will do with the new additions.
