On point #1, it's interesting you should bring up Joe Mack, because Lawless just brought his name up also, when he was recently talking with Paul LaP. They were talking about Paul's time here and thre was an occasion where the Bombers were going to a FA camp of some sort that featured QBs. Naturally, Lawless asked him about the upcoming trip and was stunned to hear that LaPo was not going on that trip. The guy who knows QBs pretty darn well, was not going to evaluate the new prospects at the most important position. He was told by Mack that he (Mack) will find the players and its up to Paul to coach them. And we wondered... 2) it's interesting to note that LaPo kept up with the CFL while also handling the TSN job. By that I mean, he watched ALL the games and studied the game films...for all the years he as out, including the Bombers. He has a "book" on everyone. That, to me, brings a whole different dynamic to his recent hiring. Now, as you've stated, if we can fill in the blanks, in regards to players, then we'll at least be somewhat in contention. And Andrew Harris would be a good start.

That's a decent guess, but I wouldn't rule out Ottawa, because Lord knows, Paul LaPolice would look horrible in a plaid lumberjack shirt.

actually they said they might be reworking that. and westwood pointed out that some assistant coaches probably like the no interviews policy. good press conference. It's interesting that that was brought up and handled. As MOS said, the policy will be discussed and reviewed. I don't have an inkling of what they'll do, although I don't expect them to change it. Having said that...now I know they'll change it, BUT, having just said that... Yes, it was a good interview and we were told 4-5 candidates were considered. LaPo did state that he turned down an org. this weekend. Love to know which team...

It's unique. It's Canadian. It's another version of a "white-out". It's ours. KEEP IT UP!

I loved Pierce's style of quarterbacking and he was very effective at what he did, BUT, let's not pretend Pierce was anywhere close to being the same kind of QB he was before he became a Bomber. When you take away his "Mike Reilly-do anything-to-get-a-1st-down" kind of QBing, you take away a lot of what made Pierce effective. This is what we were left with when Pierce played for us. He was only a shadow of the player he once was. And it didn't help that everybody knew it, and we couldn't protect him worth a damn.

So, they said they had a list of potential candidates. Who else did they speak with? Jackson was offered the #Stamps OC job and had discussions with #BCLions & #Bombers about their OC job. #CFL — Farhan Lalji (@FarhanLaljiTSN) December 8, 2015

LaPolice made ten professional visits during his time away and continued to improve his playbook @Wpg_BlueBombers @cfl — gary lawless (@garylawless) December 8, 2015 This has got to be great news for Drew Willy.

Ok, it's Friesen...but this is good - Rumour has it Paul LaPolice will be at the news conference announcing his hiring tomorrow, but not allowed to speak. #Bombers. — Paul Friesen (@friesensunmedia) December 8, 2015

gary lawless gary lawless – Verified account @garylawless O'Shea told me a while back he wasn't scared to hire a HC in waiting as OC. Thinking was hire best guy and win, keep job @Wpg_BlueBombers 4:38 PM - 7 Dec 2015 Bob Irving @BobIrvingCJOB I'm not an I told you so guy--BUT--been telling you on 680cjob for weeks that a vastly more experienced lapolice would be bombers OC.
-
I do wonder what fans would be saying a month from now, what with there being several OC openings, if we didn't get the most experienced OC guy out there, and we had to scramble? Hey, they had LaPo signing the contract at LaPo's house, so that means they went hard and fast after the man.

I'd like to know, right now, what Willy is thinking, not what he's expected to say..but what he's really thinking. ****edit Well here's one half of the equation.. Drew Willy @Drew_Willy Really looking forward to working with Coach LaPolice next season!#believeinblue

Shaking and a-sighin... Nah, just kidding. That was fast. All's I can say is...if Paul LaPolice is big enough to accept being fired here...twice, and is willing to put himself out there again, then I should consider accepting this and moving forward also. Welcome aboard. Looking forward to Drew Willy having a hell of a good year!

Cortez among OC's on Bomber wish list
Mr Dee replied to Mr. Perfect's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Oh c'mon, you've been pre-shaking your head and pre-sighing since season's end.You were just waiting for a name. Oh c'mon. I've been saying that PLAP's not the best guy for any job since before we canned him as our HC. You don't remember the vanilla offenses and the 3 yard dump passes when we needed 10 yards or more? How bout the number of times that Buck and other QB's took huge beatings under PLAP's offensive schemes? Yah... I'm sure you remember all of that but have someone other than PLAP to blame. Now that it looks like we've decided to give PLAP a 3rd try folks are suddenly OK with it?Common..Anyway, I'm not in corner of a LaPolice rehire...we can aim higher, but what I was saying is that it didn't matter what name was inserted there, you were a-shakin, and a-sighin. He's not even hired yet. Khari Jones? Nah..too buddy buddy...shaking and a sighin Jason Maas? Nah..wouldn't pay for him..and he's too new...shaking and a sighin Jarious Jackson? Nah..no experience...shaking and a sighin Chad Allen? Just shaking all over.. That's my point... -

Looks are fine, but it's really how fast they update their information and come up with relevant information BEFORE everybody else knows about, that I'm concerned with. If somebody can update this site continuously, with current transaction and statistics...including all statistics, then I'll like it...but not until then.

The hiring of Chris Jones as HC/GM does give me some degree of satisfaction - I'll more readily be able to keep my dislikes under the Rider banner. So, there's that. -

Honest Opinion - is CFL considered a "semi-pro" league?
Mr Dee replied to kelownabomberfan's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I had to listen to it again, but all's he said was "semi-pro league, the CFL, then the Saints. Joel Gasson Joel Gasson – @JGasson_21 Joe Buck did not call the #CFL semi-pro there was a comma between the two. 2:03 PM - 6 Dec 2015 -
My dee-line would love to feature two real possibilities... Christo Bilukidi and Justin Capicciotti. Two Nationals. That would solve a few problems right there.

It's been recently stated, by some O-Line types, that when he is healthy, Bryant Turner is "the best". Will B Turner be back next year? D-batable.
