Thinking that you throw a challenge flag, on a whim, because it was a long catch and the opposition seemed to rushing is just plain foolish. Loss of a timeout , in a close game, is a waste, especially with the record of reviews the challenge centre has made. Then, you'd be on the other side of the argument saying...what a dumb fruck that O'Shea was for blowing a time-out without adequate reason.

I see, he said, he said, that he said this.. Good Twitter feed comment there...

I want to ask...since when has O'Shea backed away from throwing a challenge? He has to have something to base it on, you know a player's word, an actual view or a spotter. Throwing a flag on what? A whim? Lose a timeout on a whim? You can't be serious.

I'm with you on that one. Thought he was still not in control on the way down and "secured" it with the help of the turf.

No End Call - CFL confirms it was an incorrect call
Mr Dee replied to Floyd's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
How in mother nature's rib cage is it a reflection on O'Shea if a player has a brain fart?Let me spell it out for all the MOS lovers it's called accountability there is none, that's why these brain farts happen how many ways can you lose a game before you realize hey maybe there just not prepared?Think Huffer would put up with that kind of mistake? Not a chance in hell.Oh well at least it was close. Obviously, you can't spell very well because a coach can only coach so much...then it's up to the player. That's why there's different levels of "talent" in the league. If you make those mistakes too often, you I'll be replaced. -
Marcel Bellefeuille - When does he get axed
Mr Dee replied to Brandon's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Stubler's chess game is at the master's level, and MB's offence can compete at the high school's chess club level. How fair is that? There were plays there to be made and players waiting to execute, but where was the direction? -

You guys are really reaching looking to blame O'Shea for an alignment issue. It's not possible to see the positioning of all players on the field, unless it's right in front of you. Take your blame game somewhere else.

No ratio? It's simple. In a very short time there would be no CFL.

Henoc on his way to Hamilton & Toronto for visit
Mr Dee replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I don't believe it's "feelings are hurt" at all. It's simply a matter of Henoc becoming available, then not available. CFL fans believed his return was imminent. But it was BS. They devised this ridiculous CFL tour to buy time, not really with any real intent to sign. It became obvious it wasn't real, so most of us would prefer to move on...with or without him. -
Mr Walters: What has Ottawa done that you have not?
Mr Dee replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Pre-taped interviews are horrid, and usually ill-timed, but, for me the absolute worst is the live interview that rambles on minutes on end while the play by play is either ignored, or briefly commented on. I want to see the game, and hear a play by play, not hear what has gone on in somebody's life since retiring twenty years ago. These live interviews are just painful to hear and watch and makes me want only radio broadcasts, because, at least they try to explain what's going on. -
what available coach would you hire?
Mr Dee replied to Taynted_Fayth's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I've seen quite a few names here, but are they the 'right guy'? Because I've been told, you have to hire the right guy. -
Lawless Leaves Free Press, Joins TSN Full Time
Mr Dee replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Yeah, TSN has all the gab, windbags, poor commentators, lifeless interviews, no cameras in the end zone markers, and crappy commercials...but they present the CFL..all games. Thank goodness. -
Bombers now with MOS like Jets with Noel ...
Mr Dee replied to IC Khari's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Crazy thought... maybe some people are bigger football junkies than hockey fans?? NHL is barely on my radar (outside of Jets news) until after the super bowl... This is it in a nutshell. If I had the choice, I would still rather watch the Bombers over an exhibition game in hockey - anytime. Connor McDavid and idol worshipping? Not a fan of that. -
This does seem like - "it's your last chance" kind of roster for some of the players. Weird about Cronk, Johnson over Cole, the very ineffective Stoudermire, Neufeld. I just wonder how they go about settling on the roster. What the heck does Cronk do out there? Are they preparing something special, linebacker-wise, for Calgary? Gawd, I hope so.

O'Shea believes Bombers better than their record
Mr Dee replied to Fatty Liver's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
The wording that O'Shea uses does include the fact he knows where the team stands. "I would say we're better, in my mind, but that kind of talk is probably cheap. We're 4-8, so that's where we're at. Doesn't really matter what I feel, we need to be better than that". -
Don't be so hard on Noeller..he meant no offence.

Mr Walters: What has Ottawa done that you have not?
Mr Dee replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Hamilton, read Austin, put themselves in a position where they "say" they're not interested in trading for Glenn, because Austin stated at the start of the year that the team is built on the "next man up" concept, and he has pretty well followed that plan all year. Plus, he has stated that he has complete confidence in his QBs. Now, that concept will be mightily put to the test when you look past Collaros, and see nothing but Jeff Matthews, Jacory Harris and....Jeremiah Masoli. -
Odds and Sods - Game 12 Blue Bombers at Montreal Als
Mr Dee replied to do or die's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Slowness seems to be part of the package. In our schemes, by time the RB gets the ball, and runs to the hole, where the blocking WAS, the hole is just a memory.. -
wow- we suck. why have sucked for so long?
Mr Dee replied to Wanna-B-Fanboy's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
So, let me get this straight, it's - 1st you hire the right guy, then everything else will follow? That "elusive right guy". The guy you just know would be right. That guy, who on his resume has, "right guy" stamped in the corner? Gee, that sounds simple enough. -
ANOTHER BLOWOUT loss to a last place team
Mr Dee replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I had to read that article again, and I agree with you, the only people called out...were the players on the field that day. If anything, the coaching was spot on, on how the coverage should be. Bad on the players... -
MRI results in, Collaros out for the season ...
Mr Dee replied to IC Khari's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
It's this year's version of the 'last man standing'...only BL Mitchell and Henry Burris remaining in the healthy QB derby. -
I hope this announcement by the Conservatives is picked up by all the media and that the Conservatives are taken to task for this highly politically-motivated announcement before an election. Shameful…for any party. Oh, and there is the blatant lie they suggests “They’re aware of it … They’re enthusiastic and they think it’s great.” …..which drew the response - A statement issued Monday on behalf of the Fox family said: “We need to clarify that we did not respond enthusiastically suggesting the idea was great as MP James Moore reported. So, which is it Mr Moore? Never mind, I think we know. And I can just see the response by Stephen - "I wasn't aware of the inner goings-on in my family circle". It was just the people around him…again.

Dan Fumano, Postmedia News Monday, Sept. 21, 2015 The federal Conservatives are facing an unexpected backlash from Terry Fox’s family and friends, who insist they were not enthusiastic about the party’s pledge to match Terry Fox Run donations if re-elected, and say they found the campaign event in poor taste. One longtime friend and confidante of Fox said the announcement, made Sunday by outgoing Conservative MP James Moore, was “so wrong on so many levels.” “There is no place in the fight against cancer for politics,” said Bill Vigars, who organized public relations for the Marathon of Hope in 1980. The Terry Fox Foundation, which has for years avoided politicizing Fox’s legacy, issued a statement Monday underlining their non-partisan status. Moore — the federal Industry Minister, who is not seeking re-election — said Sunday in Port Moody, B.C., that a Conservative government would commit up to $35 million to match donations made during this year’s Terry Fox Run, if the party is re-elected in October. ..... Vigars said the Conservatives’ announcement was a surprise to him. In a Facebook post, Vigars wrote: “I am extremely disappointed that the Conservative Party, through James Moore and Mrs. Harper would make a conditional, if they are re-elected promise, to match funds from this year’s Terry Fox Run.” He added: “This is poor taste, bad timing and so wrong on so many levels. Also to say the family was enthusiastic is incorrect, to say the least. I would be remiss if I did not say something.” http://www.nationalpost.com/m/wp/blog.html?b=news.nationalpost.com%2F%2Fnews%2Fcanada%2Fcanadian-politics%2Ftory-campaign-mistake-angers-terry-foxs-family-there-is-no-place-in-the-fight-against-cancer-for-politics

Odds and Sods - Game 12 Blue Bombers at Montreal Als
Mr Dee replied to do or die's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
This is unofficial, but word has it that there is a directive coming down from the league office, that the WBBFC may not, this day going forward, use the term "Special Teams" when describing the players they put out in this portion of the game. And because "Random Guys Running To and Fro Missing Assignments Teams" is too long, we will be allowed to use SAT - the "Somewhat Adequate Teams" designation.
