Big League Teague got just the right amount of experience to fill a roll for us in the future…as a backup. But sometimes, when you have play an NI somewhere to fill a need, it's good to know one can step up. Sherman did that. Hopefully, in the near future, we'll have 7-8 solid starters and guys like Sherman won't have to start, but can be excellent rotational players. Still..a valuable asset.

Where does Kevie end up in 2015?
Mr Dee replied to kelownabomberfan's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
The most respected-disrespected, sought-after readily dumped, regular-season-game winning playoff-crapper, talked-about, easy-going out-the door back up QB in CFL history. What else would you expect from the man with 2 first names? -
Let's see, if they are truly pursuing M. Benevides, as rumoured, do they have to go out of their way to stop, and tell us that? Or any co-ordinator? Keep busy..re-sign players…scout new guys…finish the evaluations…pursue, where you can, new possible coaching talent. That's what I want. I believe they are trying to get the Org. back on the right track, and if it takes a little longer this time to get it right, then so be it.

George Cortez won't be back with Riders in 2015

It would be interesting to get Willy's perspective on the difference between MB and GCortez. From what I can gather, Drew has a lot of respect for the current OC. -

Cortez - cortex, do they both connote cerebral? For me, the mystic of Cortez has worn off. He was unremarkable last year in handling Sask.'s offence, especially with DD out. He's morphing into what looks like, a grumpy old man and if he can't get along with anybody, then why would we want that? And what's with our own fans disrespecting our own OC's name? Why is he deity or something? It's a football forum. And I'm sure Marcel wouldn't care. Get over yourself. You sound like a Rider fan. It's an easy but unoriginal mangling of one of our coach's name, and gets old. And it isn't about me. You need to understand the difference. -
For those demanding information… Warren Woods @WoodsyCJME Taman says Richie Hall is still here and is going through evaluation process.. Says it's a work in progress #riders Oops, that's not out team…..but it does sound familiar.

I listened to that too, (thanks for the head's up) and Farhan sounds definite in some of what he's saying and speculative in other points. He's definite that 3 teams contacted MB (Benevides). And, as you said, he speculates that one of those teams is Wpg. He's definite that Khari Jones wants clarity because, right now, he's in limbo. I believe Farhan in his assessment of Cortez for Winnipeg in that he believes Wpg. needs stability/long term in their OC and that Cortez won't bring that aspect to the table. He speculates that Mike Benevides could be Toronto bound IF Scott Milanovich moves on. What's also interesting about Benevides is that his extension doesn't take effect until Dec. 15th - if he's he's still employed, meaning Bene is out of luck for getting paid for the next 2 years. Benevides could also take LaPolice's position at TSN if he moves on. I would looovvve Mike Benevides as DC here even though it would be confusing…we already have a Mike and MB coaching. This also could mean that the WFC is approaching potential candidates for coaching positions….and not telling us. Oh, the horrors! -

Ha, it's very lucky the Jets don't have you as GM…you'd have made, what, 7 or 8 trades by now?

Nice game by the boys last night. Just no give up against a stubborn team that needed to win. As mentioned on broadcast, they didn't want to be the team that lost and ended the streak for Edmonton. Not sure they win this game last year. Top 3 players of the game were Trouba, Pavs and Byfuglien.

I think it's the ratio of out patience to impatience that is the determining factor. -
Well, seeing as they hold the Calgary organization, as a model for the Bombers org. to aspire to, I get you are getting your wish. And that's why we've put into place, perhaps our best scouting dept. ever. - planning ahead. Best scouting department ever? How so? Because Walters said it is? I'll believe it when I see the results. I'm not saying it's not the best ever but I haven't seen anything yet that makes me think it is anywhere close to deserving that title. Moe Leggett was a good pickup. Bruce Johnson and Paris Cotton are decent players. Beyond that? I guess we'll have to wait and see. That's what the "perhaps" is for. Maybe I would have been safer to say…the most complete scouting dept. ever. Of course we'll have to wait for results, but if you don't put the people out there to begin with…ya ain't going to get nutin'. Suffice to say it doesn't negate what I was saying about the org. trying to put people in place to make the org. better than ever.

And gave up his first rounder for a one year rental of Glenn. He did what he had to do at the time, but now, that is not seen as such a smooth move. I really figured he'd sign Glenn again, and tally up the teams who come looking for an experienced QB. At least get a draft choice back. This year proved that there is a desperate need for exp. QBs and here is Wally…just giving one away. Why doesn't that sound right? (***and boy, would Walters get roasted for a move like that.) -

I was thinking the same thing about those Rider guys. You'd think that they were, more or less, on the right path, but with a 'tear-down', as they put it, they are going to have to start over. Who are they going to re-cycle? ..or will they go new? As for the Bombers, most are waiting (or hoping) for the shoe to drop, when that shoe may be firmly in place. Are they the right fit? Time will tell as we sit and wait….for the adjustments. -
This is it. I was flabbergasted that their fastest player wasn't out there to put himself in a position to help win the game. All or nothing, instead of crying on the bench. There would have been nothing I wouldn't have tried after that gaffe, to get us back in the game.

Michael Sam Possibly Playing for Als Next Season

As if there was any doubt…. ……still looks like he has a shot at the tackle here. …"the shove" (note the position of the ref.) Pictures can't definitively decide one way or the other, but it's probably closer than some remember. *******pictures courtesy of ryan3434 @CFL.CA

Archambeault Hey, you're right.

So true. The official saw the offence, right in front of him……he doesn't know how the play will turn out, one way or another, nor should that matter. If the glove fits, situation warrants a penalty, it's simple….call it.
