2 Games ;2 Losses; 0 Holding Calls on Riders
Mr Dee replied to sportmentary2012's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Hold on there bad ball Louie, it is exactly that reason (that they lead in holding but none was called in two games) that raises more questions, not less. It is curious, especially when a rather serious injury to Ian Wild is a result of such an infraction.(not called) -
Or maybe Pall can be our less heroic version of Hans Brinker and just fill a hole long enough for us to escape this week of back to back to knee injuries until we get into our bye week. Who knows? Maybe he can even be a rotational NI for us in some way. And that would be worth it…right? God knows we need some depth.

Just as I thought....you have nothing to add to my day…and no substance to discuss.

Geez, what's the second part of that "and you can't make me" ? Is that even a question? Or are you going to add something to the conversion. I know it's hard for you but how about giving it a try for a change instead of your cheeky remarks, maybe you should just sit this one out or would you like to answer the question why staying the course is the best option? Or maybe if I read something to believe you actually are making a valid point with equally valid, reasonable answers, I would have something to address, instead of you remarking on a 6-5 record, or as you continually refer to it, a 1-4 record. Yeah, that's really adding to the conversation. Only a fool would ignore 5-1 to 1 -4, so what are you? Or can you explain why things are all rosy still despite the latest stretch, give is hope then, please. No, ain't biting, but I do more than to come on a fan forum and complain , complain, complain. That solves nothing.

Helene, Mr. Dressup, and The Friendly G....The triumvirate. K, someone explain. I know Mr. Dressup and the Friendly Giant...who the heck is Helene? Is that from Romper Room? Edit: K I think I found Chez Helene. It ended in 73 when I was born, hence me not knowing it. Hmm..show ends in 73….Logan's born….one conclusion... Chez Maman

When you hear one agent say that his man, Chris Matthews, will exhaust all his NFL opportunities, before he considers the CFL, most people can see the non-flow of ex-CFLers who haven't returned, and can put two and two together, and make that determination. It's not that hard.

I'm pretty sure he stripped Sunseri on the QB sneak. Just to be accurate, Kromah made the tackle on the handoff to Messam on the third down play. He jarred the ball loose. It was a great hit and a potential game changer. But, this was after he missed the tackle on 2nd and 4 in that series. Should have stopped Allen at the 40, but kinda overran the play. Washington made the big play there. Nevertheless, I definitely would prefer to see Kromah over Kuale. Kuale has had his chance. We just haven't seen enough of Kromah to evaluate him completely.

Well, talk about bringing a moth to a fire. Burris back to Regina, where the fan base would be puking green all over the city. (even more so, I mean) Imagine, the guy they love to hate, and degrade constantly, lining up behind centre. Confusion would reign supreme, and we know how much the Riders like to be supreme. Taman, once again, would be a marked man. Come to think of it, they should go for it. It is, quite likely, a move they would have to make. The real question is…how Ottawa, with DeMarco down, handle this player-wise?
-
While I didn't specifically notice Kromah when he was on the field last game, I have to take note of the fact I didn't notice Kromah when he was on the field last game. And shouldn't I? Actually I did see him in on one tackle and missing the tackle on another. What we all want, and are not getting yet….is that dominant tackler in the middle, who can flow to either side and……make tackles. stuff the hole. We just aren't seeing that yet.

Well…somebody said we should do something to help with the ever thinning hairline roster. Actually, thinking back on those unknown NI signings and fillings we've made…it can't be a bad idea.

What are you talking about!?!? I just drove through Calgary this summer and it was filled with potholes. Not on the sidewalks...
-
Calgary on the cup now. OK, now what?

@JustwhatIheardontheCoach'sshow….Wild should be back….Goosen is a possible and Neufeld not this week.

Please don't use professional and Nasty Nate in the same sentence.

Who said the run is not a problem?
Mr Dee replied to Maudie fingerjammer's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
2. Willy was fortunate that he didn't throw more interceptions IMO. Most of the catches that were being made were thrown into excellent coverage with the Bomber receivers doing an amazing job with contested catches. When Willy went to the well once too often the Rider secondary made the play. The Rider's defence demonstrated the "bend but don't break" style that so many wanted to attribute to the Bombers in this game. Once again, an exaggeration. The Rider secondary was beat, plain and simple. The ball was severely under thrown. What can be said is that the D-line forced an unbalanced throw that Willy should have eaten or thrown into the dirt. And speaking of this play, for those who were blaming Bryant for not fighting for the ball, the ball was in the air already while Bryant was streaking past the defenders. There was no way for him to stop, and get back to the ball in time. Another second for Willy…and that's a TD. -

Actually, there is no way to know if they got the first down or not. Messam got hit just before the 1st down marker, and it's been suggested..he didn't get it. -
We are not going to be releasing Kuale, as much as most of us would like it. Aside from the financial aspect, there is the veteran-ready -to-play-anywhere aspect that Kuale provides..sort of. No, he is not presenting himself to be any good, and yes he does appear on the scene, late, to provide that trash talk everybody loves a veteran for but O'Shea doesn't think any less of him (from the coach's show) and doesn't consider himself to be blinded by Kuale's lack of discipline. The Coach only looks at lack of performance. Apparently, he sees his output differently than we do. I'm stretching my want-to-believe limit quite a bit for that one.
-
Actually most are okay with Sunseri. There is no replacing Durant but the Riders are a veteran team with a tonne of talent. Tino doesn't have to force anything. Yes, but that's because you're in the 'rippling beneath the surface phase'. Wait…just wait.
-
The inner turmoil for the Rider fan base will be rippling beneath the surface, with the stalk realization that their season, and subsequent reserved title, will all come crashing down. When that realization bubbles to the surface, there will be panic and whining and finger pointing and angst. Their 'lost without Durant' panic thread will explode to over 100 posts and may set a new record for posts. And we will be smiling. Not because of any disdain for Durant, but we know of adages and the "what goes around…comes around" factor.
-
At best he's a complimentary guy IMO. Plug him into a Will Ford in Regina type role, and he'd be a good player. Having him as the only tailback on the roster is a handicap. Yes, that he is. We do need a more power-type of back to compliment him, but I was remarking on Grigsby improvement, as I have, in the past, questioned his abilities. But he has been better.
-
Both were free agents in 2013, not this last off season. I must have blocked out last season That's probably a good idea.
-
I thought Grigsby was coming on and carrying the ball much better over the last few games. He's picking up the blitzes much better and running more north and south. He still, however, gets knocked down by a strong wind.
