  1. That play is specifically designed to against the very style of play you're proposing. It's a counter play schemed to draw the opponent in and complete the play behind him.
  2. Hmm, eight points and you managed to find some negatives in all of them…after a win...with some very good individual efforts. Oh well...
  3. When the Bombers are facing a second and short situation, I would like them to use a two man backfield and hand the ball off to Pontbriand. With a little bit of work, he could get us those two yards with more power running then our two smurfs.
  4. Gotta congratulate you on a very uniform post iso.
  5. I'm certainly not going to let MB off the hook, but really, execution was still a big factor in this game being so tight. In the 1st quarter alone there were two series in a row where the ball is very close to receptions and moving the ball downfield. Close plays involving a ball being one foot inside allowing the defender to get there, and stopping momentum. The overthrow by Willy inside the Montreal 40….interception. Chip Cox making a play on a ball for Watson to kill a drive.. Two rushes by Cotton for 4 yds. 3rd down gamble…the idea was awesome…the execution, not so much. Willy to Moore to the Montreal 20…fumble, drive killed before it started. None of this is on MB Willy didn't throw the ball very much, but it was more of a result of good coverage and a couple of drops that killed drives. TOP Montreal 35 Winnipeg 25 I agree that we need to disguise more to give our running game a chance but aside from a few mistakes from our rookie QB…who is continuing to learn, I can't put very much blame on our OC…especially since we are moving the ball downfield and scoring.
  6. How so? Shouldn't he be given a chance ? He's nearly beat us twice and almost won last week...all with crap QB'ing Aside from the questionable challenges/non-challenges, there was that horrible 3rd down gamble with the QB handing the ball off to the RB 5 yards back on a 3rd and 1 1/2. Really bad call and I'm pretty sure they stole that play from last year's playbook.
  7. Ian Wild 15 tackles - wow. Greg Peach, Turner, each a sack. Randle 2, Washington and Bucknor - deflections. Brandon Whitaker 13 - 25 yards No gaps in the run defence tonight. Goalpost interference - called twice, no challenges…ha! Those pass interference call challenges waver between good and questionable. 4th quarter good feeling knowing that we have a QB who can win us the game. Just hang onto the ball boys and like the Drew "Staple Singers" Willy says - "I'll take you there" Like this : - Lirim Hajrullahu - the idea behind the 3rd down pass gamble - the low penalty count - the belief MOS has in his players. - rushing yardage tonight - better tackling - better blocking - no Rod Black - only once for these unis for a while. - the fans cheering - the Bombers acknowledging the fans cheering - and finally, the WIN
  8. Aside from those sick catches Green makes awhonceile, SJ has not been a dominant receiver for the Alouettes
  9. The last time we had enough time to prepare for a team (Tor), we came out flying, I'm not expecting anything different this game.
  10. You have every right to disagree but I believe at least 2 and maybe 3 of those turnovers were the direct result of Stublejumper pressure, and their running game denied the Bomber offense any chance to close the game out. If we'd had a decent running game, we could have not needed to try high-risk passes and kept the opposing offenses off the field. Nothing quite like a pick 6 with under 2 1/2 minutes to go, on a bad read/play call, to virtually hand the game over. Sask. did nothing outside of 4 points with that mighty run offence you keep mentioning. We didn't have a run game, they didn't have a pass game, and yet our offence scored. Go figure.
  11. I don't really think Montreal has a chance in this game, seeing as we're in Camo unis. - we're going to flage them - - they won't even see us coming….…...
  12. Still have to disagree with those on the reason we lost to Sask. - I still say it was because of the turnover stat. 5-0
  13. That's the reason his nick-name is semi-Cohon.
  14. I wish you would have phrased that differently.
  15. Just can't get used to the Camo look. When you consider the fact we have the best combination of rich colours in_the_league, then this representation of our colours (minus one) just fails miserably. To think..what could have been…with Blue and Gold.
  16. ………They nailed it, IMO….outstanding.
  17. Reebok sure caused a lot of "hullablue" around here when all they had to do was infuse a little Gold vein into the product and...voila…magic. But in the big picture of this huge recovery season…really, do you really care?
  18. Scheme - schmeme. According to our Head Coach, it's the players not being where they're supposed to be in the scheme, that's part of the problem. The other part? Poor tackling..
  19. Wait 'til you see the signature reffing outfits...
  20. That's just crotchety-arthritis…happens all the time.
  21. Yeah, I think that's what deuvl meant. The deuvl is in the details..
  22. A lot of us were excited about Stoudermire's running style and wanted to see what he could do on Offence, both running and receiving…maybe now we will?
  23. Anxious to watch the Linebackers in Kromah-Chrome colour on Friday. I too, think Kuale becomes a spare part from then on...
  24. What a stupid thing to say. Not playing hard? Go cheer for another team. You're just an idiot troll. if you don't feed them they get bored and go away. Your advice can be summarized as "go the 'road untravelled'.
