3rd place sounds about right for now, seeing as 4th thru 9 don't have the same # of wins than we have. And we're playing BC, the #4 team…seems like a good time to settle the 3rd place position for this week and going forward. Beat BC for #3.

There is a difference between tackling & laying him out. If Reilly is laying there & clearly not going to advance the football & he is hit then it is an obvious flag & a dumb penalty, especially if the defender leads with his helmet. A simple tap & the play is whistled dead if it hasn't been already. Clearly though, Reilly quickly got up & advanced the football before the official had a chance to blow the play dead. Tagging the player down is fine but Reilly is playing with fire there because fool me once…etc. etc. Next time, in a bam bam fast play like that, the opponent isn't just going to tag Reilly, he's going to TAG Reilly, and frankly, i wouldn't blame them for Reilly's flirting with the rules like that.

I can just see the headlines if, when Reilly started to get up again, Kuale or Sears had laid him out, legally. If they're going to protect the QB, then the play should have been whistled, if they're going to continue to treat him like a runner, which is fine, then there will be a lot of close calls, or worse for the QBs, ahead.

I would rather see Knapp on the Bench, I haven't decided about Howard yet but to me Knapp is built like a TE and plays Tackle Like a TE Poorly 285 lbs is one hell of a TE.... Knapp is playing cuz of his athleticism... I think he can be a pretty effective player... perhaps he could afford to put a few of the pounds back on that he took off in the winter... My Concern is he is getting pushed back to the QB the past 2 games so he is too light and / or has bad technique. Even as bad as Boatman was last year at least he didn't get pushed around. I would rather see Javis Jones Play RT Please don't compare Knapp to Boatman. Knapp has had both good and bad games so far. Boatman was the same except for the part of the good games.

32 CHIN** 56 ELIMIMIAN* LB Getting pretty close here….

Now wouldn't this be a good way to jump start the offence? Slip Fitzgerald out of that formation and you'll have the outside flats at a time that you choose. Disrupt the box? Think outside the box.

An interesting twitter post: Darrin Bauming @DarrinBauming Signed to #Bombers practice roster this morning, Mike O'Shea says Kyle Jones can play special teams, punt, kick, kickoff, snap, and hold. And Mike O'Shea's humour: Darrin Bauming @DarrinBauming O'Shea: ?The one thing he can?t do is snap to himself, hold it, and kick his own FG. But I haven?t asked him to do that so maybe he can."

Mr. Perfect Who's Korey Banks? Just go to Tim Horton's…look for a guy sitting alone, working the telephone, and pouring over legal documents.

If you re-read his post, Tracker uses the not-oft-used double "has been has been" and that's as deep as you can get. Or, he could be talking about a couple of has beens. I was apparently referring to a good deal of my brain cells. As has been has been my area of concern as well!

I'm of the opinion that what we did on defence last game would be enough to affect BC's offence - provided the they execute. They were all over Edm.'s offence last game, and if we duplicate that, then, we'll have Glenn in the state of mind we want to see. Under the Dome,,,the execution of Big Glenn.

Anyone miss the old Section S at the old stadium?
Mr Dee replied to Pitthead's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Are you sure it was Section S and not Section (you know) ? -
I wonder if he'll still be able to cower?

Montreal @ BC 1st of all was Montreal ever in BC? I guess until 2:12 left in the half, then the blocked punt, and eventual TD….game over. Arceneaux = dominant - 3TDs BC looks pro-active, in their play calling - not reactive…and it worked. Nice mix of Harris and Logan and some slants. Pass protection mostly good for BC, and Glenn was quick. Harris, when he wasn't running, blocked well. Montreal only had Whitaker, then they took him out of it. No London. no Green ….absolutely no Johnson…seems he was 3 hours behind and I don't mean Time Zone. - 45 yards passing total Brutal play calling and execution. The Hyde/Smith came out on Sat….he was atrocious and they waited until the 4th to change him? Nuts. Obviously they had nothing to use on BC. - didn't get that easy int. for a TD to boost them. BC's big 3 on O, Logan, Harris and Arceneaux looked good but I real can't say if BC's D had a good game or not….as they weren't really tested. I don't see BC having as easy a time with Winnipeg next week, but then again, I thought Montreal's front 7 would feast on BC this week. Hope next week's episode of Under the Dome has a better ending for us.

I thought the defence looked pretty good last week again Sask. Led by their linebackingr core they were giving Durante fits. Yes they did look pretty good against Sask. didn't they? I agree. But… pretty average in their 1st game against Edmonton (27 points), and they looked pretty bad vs. Montreal in their 2nd game, so that evens out to……average. I expected more from that defence…hence the use of 'inexplicably'.

The point….provided for you….. …... for the one that seems you have missed.

Looking forward to this game. After deleting Cave from their line up and giving his two stalls away, I learned that BC was auditioning 3 tackles to start today's game…3. It probably would be good strategy to use all 3. Because of this, Montreal's front 7 has been lip synching this week, as in, licking their lips in unison for this opportunity to get after Kevin Glenn. Better have lots of lip balm on hand. I don't expect Harris will be a factor this week, Whitaker might. BC's defence has been inexplicably average and they'll be without Mitchell this week, so I expect Smith will be able to do just enough to help Montreal win this game. The only question is, will the TD drought that has been going on this weekend, continue?

I think the whole confusion here is because it was Reilly…the QB. Any other player would have to be tagged, but the heightened awareness of not hurting QBs is very much evident in some of the calls. Reilly, the QB, was seen to have "given himself up" and the whistle should definitely have been blown. The warrior Reilly, just put himself and other QBs as targets by doing what he did. Next time, he's open to get hit, just like you fake to go out of bounds and don't…you're going to get clobbered next time. Some say Reilly was smart, by using the rules to trick the opponents and get extra yards. You can't have it both ways.

Yes, but not all reviews are turned over. How did you miss that?

Home opener? Ottawin…right? Good for the….RED… Ottawa Team

Ray-o-Vac'd As in vacated.

That was pretty much the same hit Washington put on the Edmonton receiver... Only the impacts were similar. Anderson had straight on visuals of the play right in front of him and had to have seen the ball sail by the receiver. He still took a full step + before delivering the blow. Washington could not have seen the ball being knocked down as he was delivering the hit.

First. On Reilly's Determination
-
he didn't hook slide but only because he was a bit off balance... he kind of fell sideways, but he was clearly trying his best to slide and give himself up. Yup, he was giving himself up. All the defense had to do was touch him, but they didn't for some unexplainable reason. That's their fault, not the refs or Reilly's. Why would they think they had to touch him when they were thinking he gave himself up and the whistle should go?....you're theory doesn't hold water. God good folks. I was taught in 6 man football in the 60's to tag the ball carrier on the ground. It's not something that's new. If the whistle hasn't gone, tag the guy. No questions. It doesn't matter if it's the QB or not. Just touch him down to make sure. That's just folklore, I'm sure.
