  1. I like your choice of the word "smug" …...
  2. Prophetic. Did you overhear Jones say that?
  3. I distinctly heard someone say "tag". (it might have been teague- it was pretty loud last night)
  4. Are you formally suggesting, that Lawless and certain other elements of the sporting press, in this town....indulge in the excessive use of hyperbole? In the vernacular that is football…Lawless offers his own "Superbole"
  5. You could say it was like chess match out there but we didn't study enough for the game (two practices in a short week) Mike Reilly fought like a Knight, but moved around the field like a Queen moves on a chessboard. Defensive players tackled like Bishops. But other than tackling, take nothing away from an a very good performance from the D. They swarmed a put upon Edmonton O-Line and likely would have had 3-4 more sacks at least, if it wasn't for…..Mike Reilly, easily the Player of the Game. They really did hold firm…only one offensive TD. Kirk Penton states that Edmonton can claim they had the better O-line, but that's not saying much, and I don't know about that. I do know our O-Line needs way more work and way more cohesiveness. But give the Edmonton defence and their preparation full marks for shutting us down last night. It was as dominant a performance as you're going to see. You could just see we were at a loss at what to do, and that's just what it led to. Poor Drew Willy, to be initiated like that…and with little help. But I like this guy. He's learning and he will get better…like Reilly who has a year of study under him. Ah, yes, the bounces that have been going our way…didn't tonight, (tip int. for TD, fumble on a good drive, hit the upright on a FG, JFG - wide open for an easy TD…but they couldn't connect)….but that's the way it goes, isn't it? Other than hitting that upright on the FG try, Lirim was our most productive offensive weapon with his punts, and Renaud can see the start of the unemployment line. Maybe not right away…but soon. MB had no adjustments tonight, but you have to give the Edmonton D game plan full credit…they played really well. Coach O'Shea said…"it was that kind of night." "Couldn't sustain anything…nothing was happening tonight." Biggest disappointment? "the effort put in for the crowd that they had" He did reiterate that they are not 3-1, but rather, 0-1 and they will stick to how they do business. I'm disappointed, but not distraught. They'll bounce back against BC.
  6. That flag on Willis for the low hit wins the ridiculous call of the year so far.
  7. Good grief HardcoreBlue, you repeated that so much, your last name must be Winchester.
  8. ………………….
  9. There had to have been a point with Arland, much before this time, that he had full knowledge and awareness of concussion protocol. The NFL case, with its punitive award pushed this issue to the forefront. So, with that knowledge in mind, it is imperative for very professional player and agents and associations, to fully know their rights, right down to questionable headaches. So who told whom when to play, or not to play. It's a tough issue. But, as mentioned, was there knowledge and/or suppressed knowledge that CFL teams were hiding information or not following known protocol? That is going to be hard to prove. And I agree, all teams were included so that this case has a better chance to move forward, with more people involved.
  10. ……….Hey mbrg, do I need to tell you who to call?
  11. Let's just keep that tag in house.
  12. You could see that in the last drive, Willy targeted: Grigsby, Feoli-Gudino, Grigsby, Kohlert, Grigsby, Kelly, Moore, Denmark, Feoli-Gudino, JFG for the TD. 10 passes, 6 different receivers, 1 drive….priceless.
  13. But in Burke's defence………….OK, I have nothing. I surrender.
  14. Beauty is in the eye of the TD-holder…..Julian Feoli-Gudino. Drew Willy willed that game out of the hands of the Alouettes right into the hands of Kohlert, Kohlert again, Grigsby, Moore, JF-G, and of course his own 1st down run. Beauty is nice…winning is better.
  15. Ah, a glorious trip down memory lame.
  16. Now that's what I call supporting your pick. sp? Being careful.
  17. Now that's what I call supporting your pick.
  18. The day they enact and call a penalty "tackling with no arms" is the day I'm finished watching CFL football.
  19. I have no problem with the Bombers being ranked third at this time.
  20. Didn't you just answer your own question?
  21. "Nate, it's not so much this comment but the other stuff you say. I can't support you vs others here who criticize you when you say some of the things you do. How can I even though I want to?" ….and these...are the days...of our lives...
  22. Is the contract nullified if he drops the pen while signing?
