In that Sask. game I saw both teams were pretty even in the 1st part of the game, except that Toronto was executing and Sask. was not. ex. - Molten's 1st interception, in the 1st quarter was a good catch but the ball was under thrown to Swain, otherwise that was a TD. As a matter of fact, Molten's second int. was under thrown also and resulted in a pick 6. That's on Durant again. 5 sacks for Tor. vs. 2 for Sask. Fulton did not have a particularly good game. Chamblin was pretty tough on Allen for fumbling and essentially benched their ground game for the rest of the 1st half. Frightening what R Ray can do when he has time…..and Chad Owens, and Durie, and now Coombs. -
Might have been worth a challenge from Ottawa if it was ruled incomplete, but going the other way, complete to incomplete, on the challenge would have certainly not been overturned. He has control and turns upfield (football move), catch complete, then he gets stripped. That's just it though, the ball comes, he makes the catch as he's turning, the strip as he's turning, all in the matter of a second or two. It's closer than you think.

Ottawa @ Wpg. - After thoughts... -bugs me they didn't challenge Johnson's catch on the sidelines early in the game, I maintain he didn't have control. That lead to the 1st TD. -huge pass to Moore 50+ yards to set up our 1st TD Huge. -Burris is a thief….he took away at least 2 sacks from us. Vega is still cursing. -when I last looked, Zac Anderson was credited with Jake Thomas's sack -Big League Teague with a nice partial block to help with the momentum -crowd noise… responsible for 2 time counts, one leading to our 1st FG. awesome. -Unamba, starting to be a force on STs -My player of the game, Demond Washington…obviously for the TD runback but also for tackling Walker for a 5 yard loss on 2nd and 2 for Ottawa making them attempt a unsuccessful 49 yard FG in the 3rd quarter…huge momentum change right there. -Sadly, Ottawa did beat us in TOP….by 3 seconds. Love how this team is starting gel and come together…you can just see it. Huge comeback win. Huge. *** One more thing…Aaron Kelly - making clutch catches in tough situations.

Upon Further Review…..BC @ Mont. - John Bowman had 5 tackles in the game…4 of them sacks. Kevin Glenn meet John Bowman. - Great int by Paxson and awareness to lateral to Chip Cox for a TD - The Glenn to Poblah combination will not be a regular thing. - Both offences only had 1 TD - Mont had 203 yds rushing but only 76 by Whitaker 2 QBs had 103 yds. - SJ Green is still posting those highlight reel catches.
-
BC does have protection issues, so maybe we can reach a deal with them for one of our imports (there, I said it). They could give us one of they NIs or a starter, doesn't matter to me. Oh……and money….let's pick a random number, say 50K, to seal the deal.

I would not want that unshaven heathen bearing down on me after I made a mistake.

………..In the 'throw the flag category'…..On that hit by O'Dell Willis on Collaros……What I saw was a thunderous hit by Willis. He came in, led with his shoulder, and knocked Collaros down. A clean, but somewhat brutal hit. Did not lead with his helmet, IMO. There may have been helmet contact but how couldn't there have been after that contact? No flag. -
One of the best moments for me last night….....Acknowledging the crowd

He's usually the 2nd returner on kickoffs. The big adjustment the Bombers made on kickoffs, and this was with Woods too after the first quarter, was to test the Redblacks contain to the width of the field rather than run behind the wedge. That's what I'm talking about. I know there's always two returners, but Washington wanted that kick!
-
Throw Aaron Kelly in there as well just for spare parts since we could do so much better than him and doesn't really fit into this offence. Yeah, I don't know about that, I mean who else gets a Double A rating at the start of his or her name?
-
O'Shea -The man is moxie in shorts and a sweatshirt. O'Shea-isms - "creating a culture of winning and I'm so thrilled to be part of that" - That's one of the first things O'Shea said when he was hired. - "you have to trust your players" - yesterday on the decision to throw the ball deep on the 2nd and 7 late in the game. - "Quarterbacks are in charge of winning!" - firmly believes in this. - "coming from behind reveals more of what they (players) thought they could do."
-
The insertion of Demond Washington on that return was timely and a stroke of genius or luck? I wonder if that was a ST change, a rotational move or Demond simply saying "put me in coach, I'm ready to play, today, look at me, I can run …down the field"

There must be a country somewhere, where, when you translate the name Burris, it translates into burro, and from burro, it's not too far a ride to ass.
-
We made more adjustments in this one game than our last year's D did, well, all year.
-
Big League Teague…just continues to make plays as it was perfectly normal. Who knew?
-
It's game day, I wouldn't want Korey Banks anywhere near IGF. As to Tim Horton's….what does it matter? He's American..did he want Starbuck's?
-
Nic Grigsby is good, to great, in his running and what he's accomplished so far, but he is missing in picking up his blocks. Until then he will be an incomplete bac.

Sure got quiet in that Ottawa bar after a while...

Gif Day Thread: Bombers Vs. RODBLACKS
Mr Dee replied to Chaosmonkey's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
So Eric, what do you think of Ottawa's game plan?……….. -
Here's Johnny…. "It is fun. It's very fun. It's exciting," said Bombers linebacker/safety Johnny Sears, Jr. of the defensive scheme. "You saw it a few times, sometimes I was in the middle, sometimes I was at safety. It's inter-changeable with a lot of guys that can play anywhere. It makes you want to play the game. The coaches give us the insight of what to do and we work it out ourselves. "It's still early, everything's not really in yet and we're still getting to know guys and feel guys out. We could still get that much better, which is scary when you look at film. We're trying to build it slowly and progress each week as a unit." It worked last week and was entertaining to watch. I'd like to see it work again and I want to see Henry's confused expression often. * Wpg. Free Press

I do think Thursday games are a thing of the past. I think that "lake generation" premise has moved on and so has the need to pander to them, but it's really up to the fans to make their concerns known. This administration wants to listen to what the fans are saying, so it's up to us to voice our concerns.

That would make it TaekwonD'oh!

Never got into 30…didn't rock for me, and I'd split the difference on Arrested Development. * Ah yes, Al Bundy. A stilted blend of stiff acting around a hilarious premise…Married with Children.

Looking back, I regret not remembering more about it also.
