  1. You have a very long way way of basically telling me I was right in what I wrote all along.
  2. Willy and Burris were not available at the same time... If they are perhaps Burris is not offered 375K We traded for Willy and he never became a free agent. He was available the entire time. It really doesn't matter to me who they preferred because I'm happy with Willy, but if Willy is our number one target we most likely trade for him at the start of the off season. That wasn't even in the cards at the beginning of the off season. The bombers new brain trust had a lot of work to do in the off season, including the hiring of new staff. Part of their plan was having the staff identify needs and wants. It took time, maybe more time than necessary, but then again, we don't know that. They had a target of QBs that were identified, and acted accordingly. There are a couple of beliefs out there as to was targeted first. It doesn't matter now, of course, and fans can believe what they will.....but I gotta say, if the Bombers say they targeted Willy, who am I to argue that?
  3. You're mixing the message again. The bonus was part of the signing. In fact, I don't even remember the bonus. Acquiring an veteran asset, at that time, was seen as a good move. That was one transaction. Now, that asset is viewed in a different light and they're trying to make a move on him. Separate transaction. If successful with a trade, good. If not, cut him, move on, part of football. It's part of Walter's term and has nothing to do with previous regimes. As 'tute' moves go, nobody's blowing Walter's horn more than is warranted. I just see that this current GM is working to provide his HC with the best possible roster, and if he makes mistakes along the way…so be it.
  4. No way. Mike O'Shea said the Bomber fans deserved this win and we did. I'm milking this all the way 'til next week when questions and doubt rear their ugly head, in my gut, at opening kick off.
  5. There's such a thing as trying something on for size and finding that what you think you wanted, doesn't quite fit the way you thought. That doesn't mean the article may not address somebody else's needs…maybe even for retro-wear.
  6. We should cut Penton.
  7. To deprive BC of a player of Glenn's capabilities would be awesome, but at what cost? How about starting with our 1st round draft choice, Goosen? That is a high cost. But we can't stop there now can we? Because I tell you what, BC can afford to throw more in trade that we could have, so I believe they would have got him anyways. We may have driven up the bidding, but since we had our starter and BC didn't, they would not have backed down,
  8. For the look see. and determination of ability, I don't see any problem with trying to move Banks, especially if, in the roster big picture, we've moved beyond Banks and his veteran worth. And by the way, I know of a team, who were recently in town, who look like they desperately need some veteran presence on defence.
  9. I'm laughing so hard at anyone who says "Wow, Wally's looks like a genius now for getting Glenn!" ...Please...he knew damn well that Lulay was ****** and that if he didn't get some kinda player who could actually lead the team, he'd be totally ****** this year. Now he's gotta pray to Christ that his p.o.s. OL can keep KG5 clean or it'll be a bruuuutal season out west. And we're sitting here, licking our lips, with an eye on their 3rd place playoff spot.
  10. Frig the optics. Some of the optics so far, have been of the illusional kind anyways.
  11. You're damn right we'll be watching that again…Friday Night Football at its best. Kelowna will be rocking' tonight!
  12. The Coaching differences all start and end with Mike O'Shea. His strength in the total belief in his assistants is compelling. He's passionate in his belief that they will do their jobs as he expects them to and then, he lets them do just that. It didn't take very long to change the culture of the coaching aspect and it is simply because Kyle Walters hired the right leader for the job. I both loved and hated that man when he played MLB against us, and now I'm just thankful he's our Head Coach.
  13. That's sounding Saskatchewanie-like to me. And if you're getting electrical from electric tape…well that seals it for me.
  14. Bluely noted Do we dare mention an exceptionally good game plan crafted by our OC? That's where it all started. We did know that the Bombers had plenty of time to put together this plan, but to see it executed so well is, well, stunning. We have a QB. Well done to the O-Line…welcome back. (thank you Mr. Wylie for your "part time help') Mr Knapp, take a bow. This guy is the Gold in Blue and Gold. Mr. Morley….it's good to say your name in a positive manner. Nic Grigsby -- What? You didn't understand that you're our 3rd string guy? Feoli-Gudino - bien hecho, joven (well done, young man) those little cross patterns certainly were exciting. Aaron Kelly - took the flak, and slammed it down with 2 straight TD catches…hmmm, ah great job! Drew Willy - after awhile I forgot how little game experience you have. It just looked so natural for you out there. A whole city has adopted you. Gary Etcheverry - good on you, keep up the good game planning. Marcel Bellefeuille - nice, diverse mixture of plays and play calling. Very impressive start. Defensive line - kept on motoring all night…great effort…spotlight on Jason Vega, a true Bomber. Washington and Randle - looks like opposing teams will be looking to the other side when passing. Leggett - so that's what a safety is supposed to look like…and hit like…I like it. Teague Sherman - nice to notice you in a positive way. The defence - what was promised was delivered in this game, they kept up a frantic pace and followed the ball - group tackling. Oh and real nice ball stripping - real nice. Special notice to the kickers….we're in good hands Smart play by Renaud to notice that open receiver…and a decent pass. That was fun.
  15. I blame Mike O'Shea, he shouldn't have sugar-coated things.
  16. I'll defend my right to always say nice things about people…….…………….…but you're pushing it!
  17. ……………..Sinking feeling?…………...……………..Argonaut ship……………I like it!
  18. I hope we attack the Aros with the same zeal as Will Farrell displayed when he addressed a fan rally before the USA played Germany. He said, although out of shape, he would try his very best, and if the game is close, he is willing to bite all the German players to help them win. Gotta love that version of football
  19. R.I.P. Off Season Can't say I'll miss you.
  20. Oh sure, you say that to his face but what do you say to him behind his back? Oh wait, have I got taht backwards?
  21. Completely agree, we need to keep these kids out of jail if we can. Canada has one of the highest youth incarceration rates in the world - it's not working. And there is a direct correlation between the length of time an offender spends in custody and the likelihood of re-offending. The Dutch model is much more effective. And what would that be? They all pay their own way? Touche. All non-violent offenders are required to live with families trained in rehabilitative strategies. The offenders participate in household life and duties, go to work but live on an allowance and attend group therapy. The Norweigans and Danes have copied the strategy with success. Here in North America, the recidivism is close to 80%, whereas in Holland it is close to 20%. The cost savings to the justice system is enormous. It doesn't surprise me in the least. Europe is still so far ahead of National and Internationals in a lot of regards, including Health care. Maybe when we build bigger ships that can travel the seas faster, we'll be able to get more information out here to the colonies and we'll be much better off for it.

  23. Atomic just lit a fire under your asses. Boys will be boys.
