  1. There's honesty and there's telling the truth. We've seen honesty. Beautiful. I have a feeling, that O'Shea is the genuine deal, and his talking nice is media talk, like BBF says, and I have to assume that O'Shea has no problem telling the truth when he is face to face with his players. He isn't one to back down from what he has to do.
  2. I prefer to remember the way things were during the first game last year, expecting perfection from the get-go, pretend no changes were made, get angry, stay angry, cradle that anger like a newborn baby on a ferris wheel, and never ever ever pretend for a second that any part of a gameday experience is enjoyable. After all, isn't that what it means to be a Bomber fan? Well, that first part does sound familiar…. Now I'm confused.
  3. Shocking! Damn, and us looking for that coach who spits whenever a player's name is mentioned. (Wullerton - spit)
  4. Top Ten 1 Drew Willy - There will be nothing finer than to watch the development of our bonafide QB for the year…finally. Drew Tate - Got to see if Tate can bounce back this year, because to rely on BLM might lead the Stamps to an average year. Nik Lewis - Carrying all that weight, I can see more subs for Lewis…and not necessarily the sandwiches. Troy Smith - He will be the frontrunner in the race to be the first to be replaced, unless Pat White starts, then it will be close. Duron Cater - Have to enjoy him this year 'cause he'll be a goner. Paris Cotton - I mean what could be better than Paris in the summer? He will be Mr. Entertainment for us this year. Mike Reilly - I'm pulling for him, he's good, but he just can't afford to get hit again like he did last year. Zach Collaros - Is Mr. Escapable, capable of pulling the same results out of his hat/helmut? Billy Peach - the Peach watch is officially on. Who makes the move to get him? A tie. - between seeing the ugliness of Hugh O'Neil's beard and figuring where Bear Woods actually does go for relief. Top Ten Bombers Kuale….Leggett….Woods….B. Johnson….P Cotton….Banks….Kohlert….Lirim….Neufeld….Wild Another ten to watch is the 1 gamed injured list of the Hamilton Ti-Cats and what they will do with them after the first game.
  5. I don't know what's going to happen tomorrow, but I can tell you this, it's liable to be harder for Ray to just look at the defence, a la 2013, and pick and choose where he throws the ball. This time, he might, once in a while, look over the line and see nothing but ?????? Does he know the letters WTF?
  6. you sure we'll see him play? i have a 55" 1080HD tv and even still, i'm not certain that the little guy will register enough pixels to show up... But that's the idea, players will hear a vrroom, and then hear the cannon go off after the score. They'll have a game tracker on him, similar to those golf shots that follow the flight of the ball, and then you'll see the play.
  7. No you're giving him a break! It all started with the brilliant statement " I don't know anything about offence" That is really understating it there Tim. But answer me this, seeing as Defence is your forte, why wasn't there any involvement in improving that abysmal defence that you help design? Why were there no in game adjustments? Why were QBs able to come in and, seeing your defence, able to complete an astounding 27 out of 20 passes, even though that's physically impossible? Yes, Tim, it was all on the players.
  8. I'll watch the pre-season show…..but only starting at 8 pm ET
  9. I love that depth chart. Firstly because Aaron Woods is going to play, and Toronto will see him score. And secondly, The Toronto Master Planners will look at that defensive chart and throw the offensive game plan away.
  10. Make her give you back your teeth and tell her she can't borrow them no more, yessiree!
  11. Just got home and saw this heading, then I read the article (Wpg. Sun BTW) ((and I guessed right on who wrote it) If I could jump through the newspapers and strangle Tim burke at this time..I would (well maybe) There are stupid things…..and then there are more stupid things. But I can't quite make out what Burke is saying through this article. Is he saying that Mack never discussed taking over the HCing job before axing LaPolice? 'Cause that would be Mack stupid. But if he talked it over with Mack before LaPolice was fired then he is Head Coaching stupid. No, Tim, you didn't have to take the job…with all its headaches and truckloads of non-talent. You didn't have to lead us down that road from mediocrity to ineptness. Were you trying to prove the point on how little talent there was by exposing it to kindergarden coaching? And the fans, in their beautiful new stadium, had to go though your poor first HCing opportunity, and you think you're the one who suffered. And in the back ground, smirking away, is Friesen, just having scored the media's version of a blind-side hit. Burke…you have to learn to keep your mouth shut.
  12. Don't mince words Spuds, just tell us how you really feel...
  13. …………….Should be done real soon >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ……………………………………………………………Just over here………………
  14. I'd be very surprised if Woods isn't used as some kind of weapon against Toronto. Deep Woods Offence.
  15. Aren't they glad that we were put out as the ground-breaking poster boys for inefficiency around the league, when it comes to stadium construction, ?
  16. I hate to say it, but a lot of players get a pass based on last year's mockery of a 'coached' and 'functioning ' defence. Can you say…where was the leadership?
  17. There is little or no indication that the scouting for that mysterious new receiver will end, now that the season has started. I'm sure all the shipping and receiving depots will be checked for the new guy. But at this time all I really want is a functional offence that can win us games. I don't really care who that 3rd import on the receiving end is if he can get us a min.500-700 yds and be part of a balanced attack. If we can win games with 3 NI receivers even, it wouldn't bother me.
  18. Including a home opener win over Toronto.
  19. I'm very impressed with the way the Blue Bombers have addressed the issues that they have been saddled with, i.e.. the issue caused by the location of the stadium. These pre-game, post-game activities have been introduced to help spread the time that people leave the stadium as well as address the game day experience. There has been a lot of work put into the thinking and organizing behind these new initiatives. It shows that Miller is not just another pretty face…boy does that show that. He answered questions that were in his job sphere and deferred questions where the answers were for the GM. He also answered the ever so popular "who did they really want as QB" (although not in those words)….answer - Willy. He pointed out that they want to develop their own 'stable', for lack of a better word, of QB prospects and felt that the hiring of a QB coach is going to go a long way in establishing that. He addressed the schedule and Thur. night games and I found his answers reasonable and takes in all the elements of past fan survey preferences, TSN demands, other team requests, and weekend lake issues. So, no Nate, Miller is not running the football operation side of the Bombers…he has no time. A solid part of our organization.
  20. Well, for one thing, Carrier can't catch.
  21. There already is one Bryant on this team, and that's all we need.
  22. You simply……cannot tame…….what's known as…….Wild.
  23. To all kickers…………….…………….Welcome to Ottawa!
  24. Montreal - Edmonton - Winnipeg - Ottawa = 26 wins allotted BC - Calgary - Toronto - Sask. - Hamilton = 55 wins allotted These teams can split those wins up any way they choose. East There's a gap here for a reason. West Toronto Calg. - BC - Sask Winnipeg - Edmonton Ham. Mont. Ottawa.
  25. Good point. I agree. What bothers me is that I understood that point.
