Madani: CFLPA Recommends Strike Vote To Members
Mr Dee replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
You thought about it twice in one day? I hate to jiggle your mind again, but it's a 5 year deal -
It'd be hard to argue that with what Hall showed, in limited time, under trying circumstances last year, that he isn't the shoe-in back up QB…until further notice. Despite the blue-pill effect of the strong armed Marve and Brohm, they still have to prove where to turn at the snap of the ball. Willy and Hall..then we'll see.

Can somebody explain to me what this statement means: Rod Pedersen @sportscage · 13m Durant at RMP: "The feeling in the league is it's 50/50" regarding support for the strike Does he mean the players? -

No deal means current CBA remains in effect does it not. Unless the CFLPA calls for a strike vote prior to camps opening (which means shits gone REALLY BAD) camps will open with vets coming in I believe this is the case. They will abide by the old contract unless a strike vote is called. -
Don't worry, my cash has been cleared long ago.

Bombers negotiate Transit game day discount
Mr Dee replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
The city never has been good in making decisions in regards to Transit...in any way, shape or form, be it LRT, BRT or. in this case, just making, and sticking to deals made. The point is not really whether Bomber fans ride free or not, (as long as somebody pays,) but rather trying to provide a necessary service at a reasonable cost, that will help alleviate some of the traffic concerns. The city should be doing everything it can to address this issue instead of sitting back and letting it just come about. There is a major traffic issue and instead of a "I'll sit this one out attitude" they should be leaders and help get it resolved. Why is Miller the only one trying to do this? Transit is willing to work with Miller…they just need some backing from City Hall. Pathetic really, if you think about it. -

I refused to participate after I noticed that the majority of questions were obviously making fun of Canadians in a highly inflammatory fashion. Like i know it's my team eh, you don't have to keep mentioning it in almost every question eh?

Just listened to Miller commenting on the City Hall vote to not accept the Transit deal. The very deal the City Hall's rep had countered with to Miller's proposal. So, to be straight…Miller proposed a deal involving school buses and transit buses..to which the City rep made a counter proposal, then, the City, for some reason, rejected the same deal that was proposed to Miller. Now, Miller has to scramble and try to set up his original deal using school buses, and some sort of Transit? It just must be so much fun dealing with politicians…on any level. Hear miller talking to Adler (5min) about this hear(sic)…. https://soundcloud.com/thecharlesadlershow/bomber-transit-deal-rejected?utm_source=soundcloud&utm_campaign=share&utm_medium=twitter -

Madani: CFLPA Recommends Strike Vote To Members
Mr Dee replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
The CFLPA and their members are very quickly losing ground in this negotiation, and are now getting questioned on many fronts. The strategy of using players to do interviews and yap on social media was not a good idea. They better have a good back out strategy and use it quickly to get more gains than what's been offered so far…it's too late for more posturing now. -

It doesn't surprise me at all. When it comes to progressive means of moving traffic, and/or avoiding traffic, the City always seems to be stuck at a red light. -

I think I misjudged the CFLPA's overall knowledge of the CFL team's financial status after reading what Josh Bourke stated to the Montreal Gazette. I mean if of the team's Player reps can't account for his own team's financial status, I would begin to wonder how much he understands the status of any of the teams in the league. ******* 'While emphasizing his respect for Wetenhall, whom he called a tremendous owner, and admitting he hasn't seen the Als' financial statement, Bourke sounded perplexed over the team's plight.' "There's no reason why Montreal shouldn't be doing at least fairly well," Bourke said. "I don't understand. Maybe they need to take a look at how the business is being run in certain areas — if you're not making money and damn near selling out most of the stadium. But I'm not in the marketing department or the front office." http://www.montrealgazette.com/sports/football/montreal-alouettes/Zurkowsky+proposal+union+venting/9879362/story.html -

Enlightening. It just goes to show the CFL isn't the only league showing ratio bias…even if it is in reverse. -
Ah, but there's the rub, they wouldn't be allowed. Sask., already has the patent and naming rights for anything having to do with rubes/rhubs.

So, come to camp, be a strong player, lead by example, and let the chips fall where they may?

The owners would sign this deal in a second if the players agree to no cap tied to revenues. Yep, they're close I believe.I think it'll get done. Like 5 to 5.5 million. I don't think the odds are that bad. -
But the contract doesn't expire 'til midnight Thurs and Alberta's legislation moves that date to Frid., so I would assume the QBs are OK to go.
