  1. I don't like or agree with that idea at all. Going over the game officiating after, with the correct officials? Yes, to recognize and correct mistakes. To place them in the direct line of fire? No, not prudent. That doesn't mean they are beyond criticism, but they get plenty of that, even when they are not wrong. It's a tough gig, and only better teaching will help cut down on mistakes. ( and there will always be mistekas.)
  2. Looking back to that game, it certainly was a precursor to the kind of HCoaching we were going to see all season long. The absolute worst part for me, was that through thick and thin (way more thin) there was no apparent learning in any way, shape or form all…year…long.
  3. Just out of curiosity…what was your percentage for this kicking, and the net yardage per kick? And are you an NI?
  4. Word of the day. I propose to add a k and make it truly their identity. Saskuatches.
  5. If there is, it will only be draft-related.
  6. Wait, i thought we automatically owned the rights to any T Jones.
  7. So he is a punter.
  8. And just who has this evidence that the BoD is in fact "an Old Boys Network" and that they discounted Rabb as 'a rouser' while simultaneously twisting their mustaches?
  9. yeah not allowing people to enter or leave throught kings drive is a huge problem, i understand the reasoning also but... i think if they allowed people to do that, it would definitely help the "traffic problem". I understand the concerns, and I agree to the no parking stipulation, but I would hope a controlled outflow of traffic through the King's Dr. area could be arranged. That would help.
  10. I can't take credit for that. I like to think it's due to the feeling of elation I'm getting from the benefit of using my new…. ..70% less sagging, 42% reduction of fine lines and course lines! Amazing results!
  11. Why, are you afraid our QBs can't hit the broadside of only one Barnes?
  12. Yes, I do recall that particular kicker and his interview. I was wondering what did become of that workout and since they were pursuing other American kickers, I had assumed nothing became of it. I believe he only does placekicking..but I could be wrong. Either way, it's good we got the right Maher involved with the Bombers…not some rabble rouser.
  13. Meh, the transitway will only be useful for anyone coming through downtown or from the north (west of the river), probably far less than half of people taking transit to the game. Not necessarily. Anyone could park anywhere along its path and have quicker egress from that quagmire around the U. Remember - game day tickets allow fans a free ride. In no time people would figure it out and the need for parking and spaces would diminish. Also, most of those game day buses wouldn't be needed, leaving the roadway for cars only. Less cars, less buses less hassle. I know its true, I read it on a bus billboard when I was aboard and bored.
  14. If they'd have finished that damned Transit lane way (Rapid Transit) when they had the opportunity, they wouldn't be having this discussion to begin with. Short-sightedness by his Worship (Katz - not Nate) doesn't look too smart in hindsight.
  15. It costs a lot to play a Kuale these days.
  16. We can't worry about other teams though. In fact, this helps us determine to what degree we go after these guys. Maybe this will determine whether we do trade down…although I highly doubt that. This first pick is huge and I applaud them for gathering all the info. necessary to help make, what could be, a long term player/pick.
  17. This is as bad a presentation of a news story as I've seen on this board in a long time, if not ever. It seems you just couldn't wait to fit in your slant on what was a news story. And a decent news story at that. You cannot put forth the idea that this is a copy of Lawless's article and then inject your perverted views as representing the article. Even though I don't know this fellow, nor the procedures to be followed, you've managed to alie*nate my opinion against whatever it is you're trying to say.
  18. No, it's strictly a back up thread.
  19. Totally the best series so far. A goalie jumping Thornton, imagine that. That seventh game is going to be awesome. My prediction?….a tie.
  20. No Jyles. His heart isn't in it, so what good would it do to show up? If he really wanted to play football, he'd have been there. Not a good week for Wally…no Jyles and no Danny Watkins: GM Wally Buono doesn't expect Danny Watkins to help the BC Lions this season or in the future. Buono said he believes the former first-round pick in the NFL is done with football, and has moved on with his life. Watkins played three seasons in the NFL, split between the Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins after being selected 23rd overall by the Eagles in 2011. Watkins was selected a year earlier in the CFL Draft, fifth overall by the Lions, but never played for the team. http://www.tsn.ca/cfl/story/?id=450563
  21. I can't see the Rangers making a run all the way but that would be cool and surprise a lot of teams. *****As an aside - just heard you are the flag raiser at the Bomber home Opener. Congratulations! How cool is that?
  22. It's the old 'championship teams aren't that good' argument. Make no mistake..Boston has a very good team. They are well coached and use their lineup as well as anybody. When you talk about Boston's D you have to include how well they cover their defensive responsibilities…and they cover them well. Guys like Bergeron, Marchand and Krejci are hated around the league but they defend well. I'm not going to take anything away from Rask..he's a good goalie but Boston's a Championship Team, from Iginla to Thorton, and will be 'til dethroned. Is it Rask who makes the Bruins or the Bruins that make Rask? I'd say it's a lot of both.
  23. ……….I seen it before…it ain't right. There ain't no defence for that kind of thinking.
  24. I don't think January is getting enough credit here, he is better than some consider. Not great, but serviceable. He still has value for this team and shouldn't be going anywhere soon. Having said that, there is a reason the Bombers are looking at 4 other American linemen, something that should have been done last year. Taormina, and Boatman were not the definition of good and I would venture to say that affected the play of Morley...and not in a good way.
  25. Yes, I can see us sticking with an NI in that position, not so much for their kicking ability but more for the torture of having to spell and pronounce his name. Last year Billy Pavlopoulosususus…., this year Mr. Hajrullaha. Makes me appreciate that Smith guy more now, even if he isn't a kicker.
