Ridley Scouting reports: Another CFL Trade dealing with Draft Picks - Calgary and Montreal have swapped 5th round picks with conditional picks in 2015 Interesting: The CJFL has voted to increase the age from 21 to 24, it may lead to a split in the CJFL. In response the BCFC has voted to allow for 5 overage players per team. Lots of interesting discussion will occur at the CJFL Annual General Meeting in April.

Do you know where I can get some good sunglasses? Try the Bomber Store for a pair of **O'Sheades. ** Word of the day provided by 15 eagles @ EP.

Signing Ford would be the starting point. He will be the one to beat out as our RB/KR. And that's fine. But if we can outSheet him or outGable him, with another RB would could literally run away with the position, then we must have the will to do so.

Could be down to 4 Bomber FAs as per Penton: Kirk Penton @PentonKirk 48m .@cscbeer Ford and the #Bombers have been talking for a week. Looks like a new deal could be done this week.

Eskimos release Alexander (Now Signed with the Bombers)
Mr Dee replied to voodoochylde's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Well, they're all basically margarine. Butter, is still better. (yes I know I could have said Butler) -
Will there be a league review of this signing in the upcoming days?
-
In the overall quest to find better pieces to fit our roster, I don't mind this signing. It'll be harder to find experienced NI personnel, so although this may be a lateral move, quality wise, it's got to be an upgrade overall. Sign him, let him compete in TC, no harm done.

Absolutely, and I don't believe there was an absolute correct hire. For our team It was always going to take a collective effort with hard work from the people we hired, mixed with the recruiting of athletes who will complement the players we do have.
-
So, let me get this straight, when we hire a coaching candidate this late in the process, it's scraping the bottom of the barrel,….but when Montreal finally announces a Head Coach hire, Tom Higgins (passed over by at least two teams) then it's a very good move…someone we should have hired. OK, now I get it.

Bombers name Gene Dahlquist as new QB coach
Mr Dee replied to Mike's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Well, we've been owed a QB coach for a very long time. That's a ton of experience and a welcome addition. -

A couple seasons to digest: Our new unis
Mr Dee replied to White Out's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
It's not that weird a question. Try looking up the difference on the 'net, you'll see many interpretations, some of which are very close to each other. Add in the fact, as a poster pointed out, that fabric denseness and makeup may have the colours trend towards each other. One man's Royal may end up looking like another man's Navy…to an extent. -
Now, it's just briefs, right?

Trades are made with the idea that with each trade, comes a benefit for each team involved. Hopefully each team's fan base can see the benefit for their particular team. If it doesn't make sense to other team's fan base, well, who cares, right? It gives us something to rip apart on the other team. Well, not always. Sometimes we rip apart our own team…

Eskimos release Alexander (Now Signed with the Bombers)
Mr Dee replied to voodoochylde's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I have no problem, in a two-division league, where kudos are given to individuals. Good play should be recognized, even if sometimes, it's borderline. There are occasions where a deserving player is overlooked because there is depth at that position. It's still far from a participation ribbon. It's just a celebratory award and shouldn't be taken too seriously, contract negotiations notwithstanding. -

The time limits for Willy's proneness has expired. In other words, there is no consideration for a statue of limitations. -
