A Look at the Blue Bombers Offensive Line
Mr Dee replied to JuranBoldenRules's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Once again I'm impressed with the effort in explaining this lifeblood of every football offence -- the O-Line, or type O as I like to call it. A good analysis of what every Bomber fan has a thorough knowledge of….well, maybe not thorough….and maybe not knowledge. But you know what I mean. Oddly enough I already believed there will be improvement in the O-Line play this year, if only for the reason that Boatman will be replaced. What I mean is…must be replaced (**looking forward to which colour combos you're going to use in your next presentation ) -
Etcheverry announced as Defensive Coordinator (finally)
Mr Dee replied to Mike's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Well it's not surprising some of you are underwhelmed, considering the over/under stance some of youze take., but I don't understand why there has to be an overwhelming factor. Looks to me we'll have a hard working staff if the hours O'Shea has put in is any indication. O'Shea knows these guys and has worked with most in the past. Hey, that's works for me. As for Bellefeuille…well, all's I can say is, before he was thrown in that terrible situation last year, he was in the process of trying to improve his offensive awareness. He took a job in the United Football League as offensive co-ordinator and wide receivers coach with the Omaha Nighthawks. When the Blue Bombers called, he had been watching and learning at the NFL camps of the Chicago Bears and New York Giants, about to check out the Tennessee Titans. He studied their offences and how they ran training camp. -WINNIPEG SUN I don't know what to expect from training camp this year, but I sure see it as being more focused, with attention to detail And who's to say we can't a new standard for coaching with the depth of Canadian knowledge we possess. Me? I'll sit at 'whelmed' at this point, bide my time, and see what happens. -
Eskimos release Alexander (Now Signed with the Bombers)
Mr Dee replied to voodoochylde's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Half of posters want Donovan Alexander and half of us don't. I'll go for the Donovan half….at least he could sing. -
Do they have a 10th round pick in the CFL? Besides, Cauchy's too young for Ottawa.

A couple seasons to digest: Our new unis
Mr Dee replied to White Out's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I don't mind our uniforms because the colours Blue and Gold signify the colours of this team, the Blue Bombers. The different styles throughout the years will always invoke a difference of opinion. I love those colours and much prefer them to many, many (if not all) uniform colours. Now that we're going to be turning things around in Bomberland, I want the players to be wearing those colours proudly. And that's what I really care about. -
OK, now that one came out of Left field.

Argonauts name Chris Rosetti new Director of Player Personnel
Mr Dee replied to Mike's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Just figured it was an isolated comment. -
Clenched teeth, over-sized wide-open eyes, over a wide jawbone area on a guy holding an axe. Mon dieu that's creepy. Robespierre is reborn.

Or Red Green. If they came up with the female version of this mascot, would you object to the name…Lumber*Jacquie?

I enjoyed the read but I found I spent way too much time looking for the 'W's.

I like him just as much as Edwards Terrence.

Yeah, they already have 'over' and 'the' players, so why not Hill?

Whenever it looked like TE was out of it, he would make that really great catch, and remind us how good a receiver he was. A very good receiver who would have had even better stats if he had a QB to play with. Thanks Terrence!

I'm trying to see the benefits of this trade from Taman's point of view, but I'm struggling with the logic. 1st of all, where's the need at this time? Where's the value in picking up a higher salary in Williams? Better kicker? Highly debatable. 2 NIs? Yes, but as BFAddict stated, at least Bartel would have been released and probably Shomari also. 2 picks for 1? And isn't that our 2nd pick at 11? Help me understand this one.

No it's not. Spuds was supposed to say….Yes it is. And so on. *This whole thing would have worked out so much better and cleaner if the conver went like this: 17 - is not iso - iso

It's interesting that everything rotten here gets traced to the man who's face is in the public eye but nobody questions what is behind the face. As in the logic of the BOD. IMO, the major reason for being where we are. Bauer's tight grip on finances even after the Bomber's bottom line was better, was plain stupid and far too rigid. Taman was handcuffed. He did what he could. And that was unsustainable. I don't blame him at all, his budget was probably crap. And if Taman weakened the structure, Kelly bull-dozed what was left. Then Mack was hired because he had connections down south and his philosophy of finding good players and re-signing them or signing new bees appealed to the bottom-line BOD. All on a shoe-string scouting budget. But of course, that is unsustainable, especially when the initial pieces started to fail and the strategy was exposed. Poor QBs - you say… well initially B Pierce and S Jyles did seem intriguing, but no scouting down south would reveal itself later. Poor O-Line? Yes, this is a product going back many years to what Taman had to do to get players…trade picks. Then Kelly. For at least 2 years, we were booted. Now, you may say, well Mack could have drafted O-Line guys, and you'd be correct. However, there were a lot of holes to fill. Poor drafting? On par with some, questionable strategy overall. Poor coach selections? I can't fault trying LaPolice, just firing him when he did. Should have known about Burke. There had to have been doubts. GM Mack never would have lasted even if he had Miller and the revised budget to back him, so all's good that way. This new thinking and expanded spending by the BOD is a lifesaver for this franchise and the only way we could have avoided disaster. It's just too bad it took so long.

Cauchy for Glenn? I'd do that trade. I'll also trade you this nice bridge we have in Kelowna for your house. Glenn's trade value went way down after the recent comments he made. Most figure the REDBLACKS will end up releasing him. If I'm Desjardins, I'd rather have Cauchy than nothing. And remember Cauchy is a NI. If he's counting on Cauchy..to cover his losses...so to speak, I'd think again.

cmon give the guy a chance. let see what he got during TC. I'm not talking about his OC talents...I'm talking about his crappy recruits he got them to bring in. Boltus was one...there was another one from Hamilton. A WR...I can't remember his name. You must mean Aaron Kelly, who was nothing short of amazing for us down the stretch. Odd how a few highlight reel grabs equate to people thinking he was amazing. Seems an odd contradiction in a way. (highlight = not amazing) I think fans were just waiting for something, anything to happen, and some of those catches were a breath of fresh air.

Don't forget Bellefeuille was credited with improvement in Denmark's play last year.

Re Robinson: Kirk Penton @PentonKirk 1m @bitterbadger29 He would've played under Bellefeuille in Omaha. That's the connection
