The season ticket packages went on sale in November. No one had any idea that Ottawa would need a home for their preseason game then. It really wasn't possible for the Riders to market this into their package unless the Red Blacks and league had the foresight to come to them 5 months ago. It's totally understandable, in what is an unusual situation, to go Sask. with their fan base to garner the optimum turnout. It does answer the question I had where they would play an exhibition home game, but I didn't figure they would go out of province. I was thinking more along the lines of s CIS Ontario based team's home field

It's not part of the Riders season ticket package. We've paid for our tickets before this was ever announced. I can't see it selling out. I would think they may get 25k fans and that's if it's priced decently. So, for this game there's a fine line between finishing in the red or in the black?

At the 3:00 mark is when O'Shea's jumps in to (in my opinion) tell Willy he's the starter, thereby preempting the reporter's question. (he asks if anybody's told him he's the starter)(sense of humour) Then @ 9:37, is what you're talking about, in response to : Sara Orlesky - "Kyle, I know you've said you'd be open to always improving the team and different possibilities, are you comfortable right now starting the season with the QBs that you have right now under contract." ​If you look at this or even just listen to it, it does require a two part answer, and despite Kyle's hesitation in his determining the question and how to phrase his response, it just shows me he wants to give the correct response and not at all a hesitancy in his qualifying their latest signing. You're trying to find something that just isn't there.

When the right people were asked the questions, they were answered as normally as I've seen in pressers. Hesitation in answering some questions, yeah, well maybe to get them right, don't you think? If you listen carefully, when O'Shea interrupted and stated that Drew was the starting QB, it was at the point when someone asked DW if O'Shea had told him he was the starter. It was O'Shea's way of telling him he's the starter. Not to take over the question, but to preempt it. That's Mike O'Shea and his sense of humour. Listen again. You and Burgs are trying to make something out of nothing, salary wise and especially involving the A,B,C scenario. Walters explained that perfectly well, "the sequence of events in in regards to how the QBs became available to speak to" (1:10 in the presser.) The question he was asked was posed to suggest Willy was the #3 option. Walters answered no and proceeded to explain. You and Burgs may assume Willy was the 3rd best QB option but, I myself, can't make that same assumption.

I must admit I don't like the no contact aspect of dealing with a player, but…I cannot say if indeed that is correct. While the present coaching staff was not around at the end of the year, there must have been some sort of year end evaluations etc. One half of Stewart's play always intrigued me while one half pissed me off, so I guess I'm only half-surprised if they still don't offer a contract. Jade?..don't know the story there, but I was still pulling for him. In the end, he was still considered an asset and we traded an asset to help get a guy we wanted. All's good.

Yeah because going after him last after offering starter money to both Collaros and Burris and losing out on both, equals Willy wasn't our third choice. No, they went after him last because Collaros was released first, then Burris. They didn't want to lose out on Willy so they made a play for him. I think if all 3 would have been released on the 11th, then you would have really seen who they were going after. So if Burris and/or Collaros signed here, you honestly believe the Bombers would have gone after Willy and still given him starting money and name him the starter ? Walters traded for Willy to ensure that they wouldn't lose out on a QB (after losing out on 2 within a matter of days). Now I'm not saying that Walters & Co. weren't interested in Willy or anything, but let's call a spade a spade. But that's not what he said. Of course they went hard, after the fact, but the question is…what order would have occurred if Barker hadn't said , on your mark, get set, go by releasing Collaros early? In this case we can call a spade a shovel.

Well hopefully that's not the case and this is just a ploy to lower the asking price for Glenn or any other backup in the league. I'll be a little disappointed if the Bombers go into training camp without another QB that has a little CFL experience That's the old script. The new truism, co-written by K.Austin, doesn't exzachly follow that.
