  1. What impressed me was when Walters, after hiring McManus and Goveia, said he was happy to have other personnel to talk football with because he only had Siddall to bounce the name of coaches around with. That tells me, after initial conversations with Miller, it was left to Walters to carry on…something Miller said he would do.
  2. And it was under the same bus, over and over again.
  3. It's hard to determine who O'Shea has in mind for the OC/DC positions, but I really like the fact that he wants to move quickly to talk to the people he has in mind. (pushing up the announcement from Frid. to today for example) Although he and Walters must have discussed some names, I'm not sure he could be pushed into taking somebody just because someone else wants him here. Hello Khari. IMO, M.O.'s m.o. will be to operate with the staff he has confidence in. If Khari fits that bill…so be it. I like his attitude and am very anxious to see who he rolls out as his 'chosen'.
  4. Let's see, last year's year end announcements were: 2012 - Nov. - Bombers extend contract of HC Tim Burke. - Bombers decide to keep J. Goltz and B. Pierce and work an offence around B Pierce. This year's 2013 - Bombers name W. Miller CEO - Bombers name K. Walters GM - Bombers name D. McManus, T. Goveia, D. Morris, D. Siddall to Football Operations staff. - Bombers set to announce this year's HC Mike O'Shea. I like this year's wayyy more.
  5. More than ever, after listening to the latest presser, I'm convinced that he will let his HC make the decision who he wants as QB going forward. Now, as to how much this factors into picking the HC….that is a different matter.
  6. This news conference is worth the listen as it introduces the two, (3&4), new guys and the thought process that worked towards these decisions. It also helps validate the reason(s) Kyle Walters was selected as our GM. With each announcement, and the reasoning behind each announcement, it becomes apparent that K Walters is not just a Hollywood look-alike comparison, but an intelligent team guy. In my case, these moves help strip off the layers of doubt that has crept in because of past team Management. Right now, there is a world of difference. And now for the Head Coach... Easy tiger. Although if Walters doesn't have a date for Valentine's Day he can always come on here.... Well, if that's how you choose to make your assessments…

  8. In other words, it's a lock that Hank will re-sign with the Ticats. I'll be *gobsmacked if he doesn't. * a tip of the hat to GCn11
  9. Well obviously Khari isn't the only guy he gets juiced with.
  10. And another juicy snippet, this time courtesy of Rod Peterson via Drew Edwards at The Scratching Post: • Riders radio play-by-play man Rod Pedersen says he's hearing Henry Burris won't be back in Hamilton next season. I pass this along just for your information and without comment of any kind. (Drew's Words) "It's looking more and more like Henry Burris WON'T be back with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2014. At least, that's the word I'm getting. Fear not Hank -- I'm sure he'd be welcomed in Winnipeg or Ottawa.(Rod's words)
  11. I really feel that way would only a "feel good kind of way" to do it, for the fans, so I wouldn't be for it. It's kind of like this post, I get to say something, but it means sweet-for-goodness-sakes-nothing.
  12. I believe they are both solid co-ordinators but the question is who will have access to the players they want to facilitate what they are trying to do. Toronto has some good D personnel but do they it fit Burke? I think Jones in Edmonton can be more flexible, and he has some good personnel too. Anyways, good luck to Timbo, but I'm glad he has moved on. (Expect sales of visors to Sky-rocket in Toronto.)
  13. Are they considered Imports? i heard they will add 2 new categories for players.... alliens and non-alliens. each team will have a required designated alliens every game day, too and will have to juggle the ratio on that.... I don't think these posts should be taken seriously with respect to the gravity of the situation. **MOAB - are U sure about the years in your signature or is that in lunar years?
  14. Mcnificent news.
  15. .Just what did you mean by that cow remark?
  16. LeFevour is just another version of Justin Goltz... Well….a better version of JG, he will be their protected QB, according to Drew Edwards's mock protected list: •QB (1) •Dan LeFevour: With Henry Burris set to become a free agent, there's no reason to protect him in the draft. LeFevour now has two years of backup experience and played a bigger role this season. - Marcellus Bowman should be protected and may end up playing MLB - the CFL has decided not to make the protected lists public. http://scratchingpost.thespec.com/
  17. While I totally believe the stats you provide are well researched and accurate, I must add that if the players we get, give 110% effort out there on the field, that means there is a positive difference of 2.8%. Projecting this difference to reach 100% means we would make the playoffs in something like 37-38 years.
  18. Yes, there are only candidates with experience and candidates without experience. Good observation. I see it as being very candid.
  19. Well geez, it's looks like a process is being followed in regards to hiring a HC. Who knew?
  20. Wait 'til he shaves his head.
  21. Miller-phobia sticks its ugly foot into a sock puppet and kicks for the field goal again...and misses.
  22. In yesterday's news, Kirk Penton, reporting on the Wednesday Night Panel 1 program, that Khari is only interested in leaving Regina if it's for a HC job. More to follow I guess. http://www.cjob.com/audio-on-demand/ At about the 5 minute mark. And Doug Brown stating, more or less, "who does he think he is." Not sure if there's a tongue planted there or not. I would say or not.
  23. Too late, so I have to change it to: ….."if you were a fan of the Bombers" etc...
