  1. He's squinting under the bright lights of new found stardom as GM of the Blue Bombers. Either that or that water he's drinking, in that presser, is not really water. And BTW they conducted quite a search to find the ideal drink to have available at all pressers for their new GM. They had a choice of such popular drinks as GatorWade, Codeblue, BlueBerry, Rind Bold, Red Bull****, and Hig Gins. But in the end, some people say, they settled, on good old-fashioned Waters.
  2. Ed Helms...…or John Krasinski... Probably a little of both. And yes, we did this already. Let's vote. I'll say John K
  3. Because it's the nation's CAPITAL?
  4. But that's not how this started. It wasn't about using the entire SMS, it was about throwing a wad of money at Dressler in FAgency and where that wad would better be spent.
  5. And maybe he demanded to be the GM and HC and Wade said no? Where does the conjecture end?
  6. Would be pretty seamless, get rid of Edwards and that would cover most of it. But it wouldn't be between Edwards and Dressler, more like Collaros vs. Dressler. And that still leaves Henoc. However, this year having so many FAs on our roster, and expected SMS increase, there may be more wiggle room. Still the argument whether Dressler would be the best investment rests with who will be out there and where our greatest needs are deemed to be.
  7. I agree with the Rogue, I do not want him here.
  8. I don't understand why it's easier to assume Higgins was not hired because it was his decision and not because it was because of something he demanded or lacked. Because it's easier to blame the Bombers org.?
  9. But it's not because he's an import, it's because…IF...you had a choice in FA, to improve your base (O-Line, NI starter, QB) with X amount of money to spend, that's where you have to make the choice. We're going to have to make that choice…..Henoc, Collaros…..
  10. And that's the point, I mean I love how the guy plays but if we miss a top NI (safety for example) or O-Line guy by targeting Dressler, that would be more than a shame.
  11. Regina to Bismarck = 565.3 km Winnipeg to Bismarck = 666.5 km Ya, but that's because it's always faster leaving Regina.
  12. If i had a say, I would want a new DC as chosen by O'Shea, a guy, I would think, who knows defence. Our guy Creehan could only handle putting together a few good game plans on D, but seemed to be overwhelmed in other games. Now some of that is on talent but some decisions, i.e. not blitzing rookie QBs remain odd. Man to man, zone game decisions were also bad. Percentage master R Ray circled dates against us. Again, some decisions were based on roster decisions, and that falls back on Burke. Don't even mention in-game adjustments.
  13. Disagree. Not necessary. We can do better in FA With a re-thinking of our offensive game plan, and a real QB, we can use guys like Miles for possession and Denmark for that big play. But these are just examples. We've had no problem finding "that receiver guy" in the past, we've just had problems getting him the ball.
  14. And there has been more than a fair share of criticism, and some deserved, but I must say I've never seen such a situation for any org. in regards to expansion creating the time lines and restrictions that we've been under this year. It does pose an extra hurdle at the very least. But we have no idea what has gone on anyway, so what's the point of dissing what we don't know? And I thought I read/heard somewhere that Higgins was spoken to in the past few weeks.
  15. Some people are being dicks about it, but it really is a legitimate issue to question. Pretty much everybody on this site wanted us to do it, until we didn't. Then it's no big deal, and as you say, we should all get over it. Of course it was a legitimate issue, but no where did I say it's no big deal. My comment was directed at the mocking overuse of the word 'exhausting' Miller says in the presser an extensive search was done and Walters came up as the hired one. That's where we stand.
  16. The way this organization has been run and has performed as of late is beyond absurd. I've highlighted a word you used which signifies 'that which is on the past'. As in over. We're now moving forward with the new staff.
  17. Hasn't all that talk about exhaustive searches reached the level of absurdity yet? Get over it already.
  18. ….still waiting for the good football to start.
  19. Did you know that if you fooled around with the letters in the name Boltus, you get….Blutos? Strange eh?
  20. Did we fail to mention the definitive Burris play of the game on that high snap, where Henry looked up and was saying whaaaat instead of going back after the ball to recover the ball?
  21. I'd be shocked if HB isn't a starter for at least the beginning of next year and for Ham. He may have his faults but I can't see Hamilton gambling on Masoli, LeFevour and Brohm.
  22. You mean Brrrrrrriiisssss, don't you?
  23. I can't even say...nice Tri-cats. And I know one thing for sure, Grey Cup 101 did not equal Football 101…not even close.
  24. Can we at least wait 'til the guy is named before we declare any prevailing toxic conditions and scenarios in the distant future? Maybe this Walters fellow has a mind of his own. People do want/need to be evaluated on their ability to do their jobs. Maybe we should let them.
  25. Ottawa and Winnipeg need starting QBs in 2014. Hamilton, too -- Burris and LeFevour are both free agents. You forget, by then, Ottawa will have picked their starter, likely from the roster of the Stampeders. As to Hamilton, Collaros would still have to outdo whichever QB Ham. re-signs.
