They're responsible for half the holes. (more commonly known as half-holes)

A completely dirty hit. Thought so at the time. Still do. There was absolutely no effort to 'tackle' Kackert, but rather to hit him. As clear an infraction as your going to get....and yet not called. That head hit should be reviewed.

Depends if you're talking O fence or D fence I guess.

Probably not a bad idea. It's funny though how Coach Burke conceded that maybe the Officials 'allowed' a little more holding on Thomas's part than normal. Whatever normal is.

There once was a young boy with a very bad temper. The boy's father wanted to teach him a lesson, so he gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper he must hammer a nail into their wooden fence. On the first day of this lesson, the little boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. He was really mad! Over the course of the next few weeks, the little boy began to control his temper, so the number of nails that were hammered into the fence dramatically decreased. It wasn't long before the little boy discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Then, the day finally came when the little boy didn't lose his temper even once, and he became so proud of himself, he couldn't wait to tell his father. Pleased, his father suggested that he now pull out one nail for each day that he could hold his temper. Several weeks went by and the day finally came when the young boy was able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. Very gently, the father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. "You have done very well, my son," he smiled, "but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same." The little boy listened carefully as his father continued to speak. "When you say things in anger, they leave permanent scars just like these. And no matter how many times you say you're sorry, the wounds will still be there." — with P. -Mark Pothier

I like the part where you posted just in time to keep Iso from having a sweep of posts in 'new content'!

All I can say is thank goodness for Glen January, because if we had to find 2 import tackles.....

I agree. That wasn't even throwing Sorensen under the bike.

Geez, trash talking and Lemon picking in the same post. Pulp fiction.

Pascucci Tweet: Bombers To Sign CFL Vet RB This Week
Mr Dee replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I'm inclined to think it is a PR move and C. Roberts will sign a contract. *It better not be Boyd. That would be a step backwards for Walters. Mallett...thumbs up! -
That's called Mackadamia. It's an obsession. It's the closest thing you're going get to being 'nuts'.

It's an interesting dilemma to be sure. I can understand the immediateness of the chat room and the live interaction and 'participation'. Live action speak, so to speak. But.. The sight does look quiet on Gameday and that can be attributed to fans attending the game or being in the chat room. It just seems weird not to have a 'posting 'station to talk game talk. I guess that could lead to less activity. Perhaps some sort of Post-Game-Thread is something we could chat about.

It's just......easier

Have to agree with the comments on here on Pencer doing a credible job in a tough situation. I'm guardedly optimistic about him. But special kudos should go to Jake Thomas for stepping in, untrained, and doing a pretty good job of blocking. An amazing feat. We should have him tutoring Boatman. Better yet, let's release Boatman and just stuff ANYBODY else in there.
-
So, second mate then?
-
Iso has a valid point. But so does Mike. I usually watch the games later, on PVR, so I have to miss the live 'action' talk.

I think we should have gone hard on a game day thread. Everybody knew we needed one, the one we had was old and could no longer get the job done. The thing is....should we have gone outside this forum or just developed one in house? Even if we could have found an outside thread, would this have been the chosen forum to post it on? Spin control...that's what we need. I wonder who we can pin this on?

And it's time we leave it at that.

His parents drive from Montana for every game. I went on a roadtrip to Montana last summer and it's two full days of driving from here. That could very well have been a factor. The only closer CFL city to where Reilly's family lives is Calgary. If Reilly thought he couldn't win the job from Buck, Elliott and Brink while having a starters contract in his back pocket, he must have low self-esteem. Way back when, when this was first discussed, I thought that there was no way a QB like Reilly would have any concerns about matching up with any QB we had.

I was just thinking about that sig.

Moving away from Buck Pierce has allowed us to audition our other QBs. Justin Goltz was 1st up...and now should be sat down. Taking everything into consideration...he's going to be acting in the off season. Hall's up next and should provide some needed playmaking. But it shouldn't end there. I don't think Boltus is the answer, I'm more intrigued to see what Levi Brown can bring. 7 games left for auditions...let's not waste these games. And oh yeah, we absolutely have to get rid of Boatman. It's real a sad thing he still is on our roster.

I was one of those people... Missing half the season was fine actually, but it was more just letting another veteran walk with nothing more than a shrug. Bowman even on the sidelines would have helped this team... and yeah, I would be totally fine with Bowman returning at this point of the season, especially with Parker out and Wild already knicked up. People were not arguing about starting vets no matter what, it was more a matter of letting young guys win the jobs instead of just turfing vets for no real reason. No doubt that Bowman would have helped this team keep its composure this year. Bowman was offered a contract.

Same old same old, just re-hashing for today's game. But...he goes on to project stats for Goltz to equal the amount of games played...and that's just plain ridiculous. No way you can do that. Once and awhile I have to wonder about Penton, and this is one of those times.

4 plays - 79 yds - TD...we can only dream Ha, here I thought Mitchell made a big error in throwing that int. Little did I know it was part of the Offensive plan for Taylor to move the ball forward. Ham. 22-19 at this point. Burris has nothing but time to throw tonight. Hey look, a blitz...and a sack. Hey look, another blitz and a Hank throw. Turnover. (I think Kent Austin is ticked at Henry.)
