  1. Thanks for the information Rids. It's good to have re-caps of CIS games. I, for one enjoy them and you can be sure, that if I were still in Winnipeg, I'd be at that Bison game!
  2. Randum thoughts: Yes, that was as conservative play calling as you will see from Calgary, but you're right, a good RB and a short work week will do that to a game plan. Edmonton left 8 points on the field form those two FG misses and the TD drop, so they would have been within their normal losing spread. Esk fans are talking what will happen to their playoff crossover hopes after they are 3-9. That means they are already considering a sweep. We should bask for the next 24 hrs. in our 7th place position....we may not see it again. I'm sold on Reilly, but not his choices in friends. I believe the Bombers can contain John White, but can they contain Reilly or any of the receivers? I've rarely seen our secondary be so...secondary. 14 sacks in two weeks, 7 per week, given up by Edmonton and suddenly, we no longer are the sack leaders. Can we feast on the Edm. O-Line when it's our turn?
  3. The good news coming from this game is it looks like Edmonton has stolen that play where we throw to the far side of the field, for a three yard gain, when we need at least seven. (well if Buck is playing, it's a pick 6) They must like it, they used it a few times last night. They are welcome to it.
  4. The hits aren't as bad for sure, but still, 5 sacks after the 1st half. Looks like Rottier has a sneaky smile under his helmet.(JK) Bearded boy will have his duties shaved, if not his job. Edmonton's running game is keeping it close, not to mention less hits on Reilly. I got my answer on Calgary's game plan...lots of running. That means Calgary either really respects our run defence or really disrespects our pass defence.
  5. Rottier still on the roster but it looks like Edm. is going with 3 Amer. on the O-Line. Kavie Reed will do the play calling in "crucial situations". Stamps are concerned over their QB injury situation. BLM to start, then Tate, then Glenn? Stamp fans want D. Dickenson as Head Coach ASAP before other teams come calling....Wpg. Mont. Edmon. Stamps released DB Demetrice Morley What I'm interested in is seeing if the o-line changes and play calling changes will help Reiily stay alive or make thing worse? Will Calgary start off quickly again, but this time not let their foot off the gas pedal? Will BLM be as prepared for this game as he was against us? How many Eskimo fans will show up? Adarius Bowman makes his return to the line up but Henry has been effective for Reilly, so I don't think there's much of an addition there. And finally can Edm get a running game going?
  6. I blame the Muamba brothers and their propensity to re-cycle. Either that or...he didn't meet the height requirements. (Too tall)
  7. No, it doesn't mean new people will come in this year. Of course not. But for both of you to say 'what will be will be' is not que sera sera and especially since this thread was started with at least 2nd hand information. And for you to say what Bob believes, without even hearing what he said, is laughable. Armchair GM is entitled to his opinion, as are you two. Everything, at this point, is conjecture. On that I think we can all agree. Yep. conjecture. That is why we're here, Jacquie. Connect the dots for me Iso. Paint the numbers. Con the jecture. Explain. This should be good.
  8. Do you know what sign shop keepers used to hang on their doors when they wanted to grab a bite to eat? OUT TO LUNCH In this instance...you're a shop keeper.

  10. BriceDream, on 05 Sept 2013 - 4:36 PM, said: "Bob Irving shares the same opinion. Is he part time palm reader too?" "will remain in their current roles" (which are 'acting' roles I believe) I don't know if that is Bob Irving sharing the same opinion and that the Bombers are going to do the same old, same old.
  11. I get the impression he's mentally blocked the Mike Kelly and Joe Mack hires from his memory. Can't say I blame him either. The only crystal balling I see is from you two, not the Armchair GM. You've already anointed the future GM through your fears and expectations...and negativity.
  12. I'm not going to pretend to know the inner details of the decision of Ford over Garrett, but I agree, Id rather have had Garrett.
  13. I think we already know. The question is will we or the Eskimos win more games this season? And by losing the most games, we win the race to see who gets to draft the first guy that ends up going to the NFL and getting injured/PR'd next year, aka the CFL draft. Geez, I hope we don't have that same dumb argument from "certain" posters who think we should lose gracefully in order to secure that 1st pick.
  14. No, let's let a guy who hasn't proven a thing in the league call attention to himself. Scoring the TD wasn't enough for him? IF Goltz actually starts producing wins then he can do what he wants. I very much think you're missing the point....again.
  15. Ah, what does Buano know anyways?
  16. What if you were playing in the club championship tournament finals and the match was halved at the end of 17 holes? You had the honour and hit your ball a modest two hundred fifty yards to the middle of the fairway, leaving a simple six iron to the pin. Your opponent then hits his ball, lofting it deep into the woods to the right of the fairway. Being the golfing gentleman that you are, you help your opponent look for his ball. Just before the permitted five minute search period ends, your opponent says: "Go ahead and hit your second shot and if I don't find it in time, I'll concede the match." You hit your ball, landing it on the green, stopping about ten feet from the pin. About the time your ball comes to rest, you hear your opponent exclaim from deep in the woods: "I found it!". The second sound you hear is a click, the sound of a club striking a ball and the ball comes sailing out of the woods and lands on the green, stopping no more than six inches from the hole. Now here is the ethical dilemma: Do you pull the cheating bastard's ball out of your pocket and confront him with it or do you keep your mouth shut?
  17. I now have to trust what BC has done as the final say in the Elliott logs. But...Elliott won games for us and was exciting. Oh well...
  18. "Look there's a sign of life....and someone having fun performing in a job that he loves, and celebrating, at least a minor success." "Here's an idea...let's stomp on it!"
  19. Goltz is not the villain here. This whole thing is being blown out of proportion. And guess who's spinning that?
  20. I see a young QB who is a rookie in this league, he might work out, he might not. Too early to tell. But if you think he hasn't been lucky, especially in that BC game, then your definition of luck is different than mine.
  21. He is the definition of rage...persernafied.
  22. we sign a guy who lost his 3rd string job? Yeah those coaches in Sask really musta loved the guy, cut him and everything. What's the problem? It's a recommendation on a back up QB...no strings attached.
  23. Buck's contract is guaranteed at this point, so they might as well keep him around for emergency purposes. That's right, somebody has to show the new QBs how to roll on the field and take help from the training staff when walking off the field. The dazed look, sitting on the bench, however, cannot be taught. Sorry Buck...it's just too much.
  24. It's been said by many that if the top teams lost their #1 QBs, what would they look like? Well now we know. We haven't had a #1 QB, so we've been exposed for quite some time already. Looks like our decision to embrace Buck as our starter was even a worse decision than we all feared. Any kind of continuity at QB might have meant 1 more victory and who knows where that could have led. 2013's the year and the curse of BP lingers on.
  25. What a year for the Bombers to pull a no show. Right now, a three team run for 1st place.
