I think it's pretty clear cut why Reilly would take the deal and run... he was only ever going to have an opportunity to start here or in EDM. That's exactly the point...Reilly wasn't going anywhere but Edmonton. He had made up his mind.

Edmonton did not have a1st rounder to trade. BC got an offer from Edmonton for an asset they were going to lose. BC simply tried to get more for Reilly through Wpg. Right, because I guess we just never really wanted Reilly, we just negotiated with BC and then leaked the story that Buono didn't give us a fair shake at negotiating with Reilly in order to save face. I think your arguments would be better off if you stuck to the facts when pushing a point. The Reilly example is a poor example. While Reilly is rounding into form (getting all 1st team reps) he simply had no interest in coming here. You can blame the Mack regime (and you certainly do) for keeping Buck and bringing in somebody else, but it wasn't as simple as trading/exchanging picks just to talk to the guy.

Well 2 minutes is the exact amount of time our coaches should take in naming anybody but Buck to start at QB. And while you are right about it being a coaches blunder involving our QBs, it's been a messy, confused situation for 4 years...and how is that the back up QBs fault?

Well, here's hoping you're dead wrong also. But that's the bloody point isn't it? We need to know and the only way we're going to find out is by their playing. We were in this exact position last year and we frittered away any opportunity to play Brink and Elliott correctly because we stuck with Buck. We now have until year's end to at least make one correct call. (we already know future cut) If there's any questions of turnovers (player wise) I'd like us to know ASAP because it seems this regime is not going to stand pat or buck or whomever.

The happiest Bomber right now should be Chris Simpson. MB knows how to produce an effective running game. I just hope the O-line is up to it. And of course, Chad Matthews agrees with you.
