  1. Can't wait 'til we start bringing in some quality QBs, so we can release Buck and finally get over this obsession with the Buck (the artist formerly known as a quarterback)
  2. Apparently all of DeAngelis' stats are worse than Palardy's. If all they wanted was longer kickoffs they should have kept the Non Import Aussie Kicker. I can't argue with that logic but, Burke And Dickenson have worked with the SandMan before. I can only take that as their logic for this questionable signing.
  3. I'm not much of a fan of the DeAngelis signing per se, but considering our field position stats - Bombers average start on their own 35, and the opponents start on their 43 yard line (worst in the league), then I feel, as we all knew, kicking has to be better. *Thanks to Stats Junkie for digging up this info.
  4. I was going to like that post, but then I'd have used one of my 100 likes for the ..day? week? Next QB change?
  5. Iso, I see that you now have over 1000 posts. I was just thinking, if they took out all the posts where you mention the name Mack, you'd probably be left with what? 32? Kidding of course.
  6. There's a limit for likes? Didn't know that. What if we disliked a whole bunch of stuff, would that reverse the tally?
  7. Yeah that's right, they both played well....must be the number..38
  8. He's just here as a plant to spew his ridiculous one statement put downs quite lacking in substance but just made to inflame or provoke. There's a name for that, but I forget what it is.
  9. It was simply.....logical.
  10. And by that logic....put me down for Simpson also.
  11. You got that right.
  12. Yes, and Buck and Justin were talked to about the reasons and shortcomings that led to this QB shuffle. And Burke, to his credit, did not muddy anybody's reputation resume to make his point.
  13. I don't mind a competitor and someone who gets pished about losing his job. But he's got to be smart about it. The media can win you points and also lose you points. Goltz is young. He gets a mulligan. But he should admit he played somewhere between acceptable to poor to not bad. He can only learn from this. With a closed mouth.
  14. Sure. Let's just say the phone number was real handy. But that's the point. First there was talk. Then...there was action. And not by Burke as was stated by "someone unknown"
  15. Handled wrong...yes, but all around. From mgmt. to coaching to player. Got to change that whining into winning.
  16. Not according to this : http://www.winnipegs...yed-at-demotion "As for the hiring of longtime CFL coach Marcel Bellefeuille as a consultant for the offence, Burke said that wasn’t just his call, either. New CEO Wade Miller was involved. In fact, Bellefeuille said it was Miller who called him on the weekend." -KBF
  17. Doubt it. Each man earns his own credits. MB has earned his stripes. Did it ever occur to you that he may earn even more now?
  18. That's maybe where the 'heated discussions' part comes in.
  19. According to Burke, right now on the Tim Burke show, Hall was the choice "to a man" of the offensive staff. "his reads were processed quicker" and "reads coverages quickly" Burke deferred - did not want to dictate who to start. There were "heated discussions."
  20. I'm definitely not defending his coaching, I'm just telling you what was being said about how the whole affair is being handled. To me it doesn't sound as much a fire drill as the media and forums are making it sound.
  21. Poppycock...he's here, obviously he's interested. And why wouldn't he want another opportunity?
  22. Bob Irving just repeated after the coach's show, that Goltz was Mack's guy, which leaves by omission, that Buck was being backed by Burke. (how's that for alliteration?)
  23. I just heard Burke on the coach's show and tried to write word for word what was said, this while I was posting in the "Burke wanted Glenn thread. Burke sounded anything but down about the situation and without saying so, virtually implied they're trying to get it together "on the same page"
