It is clear that we need to cheat the cap going forward and if the commish complains we point to this decision and tell him to blow it out his ass. 😉

I just want football even if it means only watching on TV.

I like the adopt a team model and the idea of BC Place hosting playoffs.

Oh I should clarify, not knocking the spending, knocking the refusal to stand up and explain his budget.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/manitoba-covid-19-update-1.5604779 4 days in a row!

Oh as for Goertzen, should resign or be replaced.

So apparently Justin can't give a fiscal update. At some point, you have to give an account of what you've spent, projected revenues, project shortfalls and how you'll pay for things.

Thank you for this, its well put. I agree no government or police force here would move to shut them down, nor do I think it would have been wise. I believe you stated it would have caused more issues (correct me if that wasn't you) and I agree.

You know, that's a fair point. Apologies.

The dark old days before TSN carried every game. I think many of us remember having to listen to games on the radio. I remember having to walk home 35 miles, all uphill, in the snow, barefooted and as I sat by the fire listening to CJOB and a Bomber game.

I never mentioned Trudeau, nice deflection. I never said the issue wasn't important. I simply asked if you can't see why they're frustrated or feel mislead?

People have lost jobs and businesses. People have been unable to see dying or seriously ill loved ones who are in hospitals, people haven't been allowed to attend their place of worship, people haven't given up many things that made up their day to day lives and they did it for the greater good, to help save lives and flatten the curve because this is what the government, public health officials and the media preached and heck for the mot part did it willingly. Then other people and many of the same government officials hold rallies for what is without question a good cause but at the same time, people weren't observing social distancing not were all wearing masks and they're told that this was ok because it was for good? So Noeller, The Unknown Poster, 17to85, you don't see why people are upset or disillusioned?

Well my point was that while the nurse made a great point, the situations aren't exactly the same. However to your point, I'm in favour of seeing more money spent on mental health services, even if it means decreasing the police budget. I think there are cases where the social worker/health expert would be better than a police officer. In other cases, you need the police officer. So I'm not in favour of eliminating the police force, which some who are calling for defunding seem to be doing, but I am in favour of reallocating some of that money/changing how we do things (which depending on who you read might mean I am in favour of defunding. Still educating myself on that one).

This is true but when an ER Nurse has a person in one of these categories in a threatening state, they call for and get security. Anecdotally, I have been in the ER with a family member suffering from a mental illness, when that family member started screaming, yelling and becoming aggressive, security was called.

Hockey wouldn't work well through the summer, in your key markets (well many key markets), people want to go to the lake, go fishing, hunting etc.

The U of Mississippi's nickname is the Rebels. They're named after all of the students who dropped out of the U of Miss in 1861 to fight for the confederacy. How the hell do you keep that name in 2020?

I agree that protesting racism and protesting wanting to go back to the old normal are very different. I agree that advocating for change to bring about more tolerance and acceptance to society are important. However do you not see how people may get frustrated when they were told and continue to be told to stay home, social distance, don't see friends, you can't visit sick relatives or friends, you can't attend a worship service, you can't go to the gym, you may have lost your job but its ok for people to gather in large numbers for these rallies? I support the rallies, I am trying to educate myself but I still feel its a little like two sets of rules. If its ok to open things up for rallies, why not other things? Or is it a case of the risk is acceptable in this case because its for a needed change to society?

Hopefully TSN doesn't increase the amount of work Rod Black does. I hear Dave "Sticky" Staala and Sam "The Specimen" Gigurre are still both in hiding and therapy.
-
TSN is delusional if they consider Suitor to be a competent analyst.
-
So if politicians can attend rallies like the ones yesterday, why can't they meet? Looking at Pallister and Trudeau.

Kevin Harlan does PBP for both basketball and football and is great at both.

I feel bad for the good cops and there are some good cops out there.
-
HELL NO to Rod Pederson! Noeller, you need some form of punishment for suggesting that.
-
That sucks for the CFL. Please hire somebody to replace Rod Black and Glen "Let me fawn over a Country Music Star like a 12 year old fangirl during the Grey Cup" Suitor.

Durant and his selfish choices allowed for the emergence of Strevler and allowed us the cash to sign Bighill. All in all, he helped contribute to our Cup win. Still a tool though.
