2022 Off Season - Back 2 Back Champs Edition
I am excited to see how the Hallett bros, Rene and Ford do in the secondary. Have to assume there is a good possibility that one of the spots in the secondary goes National.

2022 Off Season - Back 2 Back Champs Edition
I can say without hyperbole that this is the greatest TC roster ever assembled in the history of TC rosters.

A little nugget from Tait's latest piece, a plan B for the ratio if their is an OL injury is using 2 on D. Good piece as always, thought it was interesting.

2021/22 - CFL Offseason - Non-Back-to-Back Grey Cup Champion Thread
I used to be with it, then they changed what it is. Now what I am isn't it and what's it seems weird and scary. It'll happen to you.

Outside of Toronto/Van/Mtl, shouldn't we be trying to appeal to those markets?

I wonder if companies move out of Republican states and into Democratic ones. Texas has something like 10% of the Fortune 500, how many move?

2022 CFL Draft (CIS/NCAA and International)
I like the Tre Ford pick by Edmonton.

2022 CFL Draft (CIS/NCAA and International)
Let's be honest, very few of us have amazing knowledge of CIS football. I know some do, but many of us (raises my hand) don't. That said, whomever the Bombers pick are going to excellent value from round 2 to round 8.

Most rookie deals are three years as I recall.

I'll defer to trusting the front office. Wonder if this is a sign that Eli or Dobson will be in camp?

One of Dobson or Eli would be a huge add. Would be nice to know for the draft but that's life in the CFL.

Random Jets News
Ultimately if the team's not successful, it falls on the guy who put everything together, Chevy. Has his management of the salary cap been good? Wheeler's contract was poor cap management. Little's deal was poor cap management. Schmidt's deal isn't great. We're going into an off season talking about needing to make room for Samberg and Heinola so was his roster management that great? His drafting from 2011-2016 is great. 2017 and beyond has it been as good? Clearly the culture has issues given both the on ice performance and the comments by multiple players. He's had 11 years and we're now going to make it 14? 29 other teams have changed GMs in that period.

Random Jets News
Missed the playoffs two of the last three seasons. He's won 3 playoff series in 11 seasons. Given the comments by Statsny, PLD etc, the culture is poor. I'd argue all of those things means he's done a mediocre job. Only GMs with their clubs for a longer period are Armstrong (won a cup) and Poile (at least made it to a finals).

Chevy with a three year extension. Must be nice to be mediocre and still employed.

So what would be a good return for Scheif?

Random Jets News
Tell Scheifele the vision involves back checking and an actual focus on both ends of the ice.

2022 CFL Draft (CIS/NCAA and International)
I'll say defense with the first two since this is supposed to be a weaker OL class.

The TV Thread
Watched the first season of Space Force as I liked The Office and Carrell and it came out on 2020 when we were all binging a ton of stuff. It was terrible.

I'm not a fan but they are better than those 2014/2015 Argo pjs.

Around The NHL 2021/22
Why can't Toronto+Flames and the Oilers all lose in 4 games? I mean both could happen, just like a man could be a seedy male stripper and chief justice of the supreme court.

That Old Testament God talks a lot about taking care of the poor, widows, orphans and aliens. Many such passages in the Pentatuch (first five books), Psalms, Proverbs and the OT prophetic books.

So MTG missed all those bible passages about loving our neighbour as ourselves and helping the poor, widows, orphans and aliens (foreigners aka people who would be refuges etc)?
