Ripper made a great point about the holding on returns and on the headshot. I love the big returns and as Dickenson apparently said, I think we're seeing more this year because the NFL is kind of phasing out the kick game so we're getting more of those type of guys and that's great but you have to make the calls.

Nice play by Burnham

Actually Ottawa was 12-6 and lost a close Grey Cup game to Edmonton in 2015 during Maas's only year as their OC. Calgary was 11-7 in 2011 aka Dickenson's first year as OC but they were tied for 1st and had a pretty good offense. As for an earlier post on our total touchdowns, we're scored 4 in the past 3 games.

Hopefully the records of who were connected to him come out. I doubt it but I hope so.

Zylstra is pretty good on teams. I bet he makes the Vikes again based on that. I also suspect he tries to land another NFL spot for 2019 even if cut. On the other hand, he could be BC's 2020 marque signing.

Dom Davis is 30. I don't see him suddenly magically grasping the mental side of the game.

Former Eskimoe WR Bryant Mitchell tore his Achillies in an NFL pre season game tonight. Poor guy, that sucks.
-
How much of the game has to be played? Hypothetically could a team score a fg on their first drive and then there is a severe weather delay and after one hour they get a win?
-
So what happens at the end of the year if this win gives the Riders 1st place in the West when without it they would have finished lower?
-
So Saskatchewan gets gifted a win potentially skewing the final standings and playoff positioning. Great decision. Fire Ambrosie.

This new rule is stupid.

Wasn't Judge offside on his big play?

It's time to hand the ball to Streveler.

First 5 games: 1150 yards passing (230 a game) 12 td passes, 1 interception, 9.1 yards per pass attempt Last three games: 607 yards passing (202 a game) 2 td passes, 3 interceptions, 6 yards per pass attempt. Injury? Game Plan? Better defences faced? Something changed. -
Picking up on what JBR posted, in Penton's Insider column about a week ago in the Athletic, one of the pieces was speculation that Nichols has a hand injury. Could explain things a little. As for JBR's idea, I think it has some merit.

I've done it too.

On the fans, its has been 29 years since we've won the Cup. In that time, we've had some very good teams and some awful teams. We've had our hearts broken many times (1993, 1994, 2001, 2007....). Rightly or wrongly, it makes many of us pessimistic because we've seen it all go wrong many times before. Am I happy that we're in first? Of course. Do I feel we have a real shot at the Grey Cup? Yes, I do. However that doesn't mean that Lapo's playcalling or Nichols lacklustre play the past few games doesn't concern me because it does. The bottom line is we're all hardcore fans of the team (you have to be to be a message board regular) and the taking shots at others who disagree with you or express an opinion you don't like is not only childish and petty, frankly its bullshit.

Did anybody check to see if Dickenson is ok after being done in by those Fing Canadians?

rebusrankin replied to White Out's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
The bottom line is whether its Nichols or Lapo, something has to change. We need to begin to have more of an intermediate passing game. We need to make better use of the receivers we have. -
Well we are currently 3-0 versus the West so to borrow from Caddyshack, We have that going for us.

It's time to hand the ball to Streveler.
rebusrankin replied to White Out's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
As others have said, I'd like to see Streveler come in for a series or two when the O is struggling (happens every game) and in the redzone. I mean that play on 2nd and 3 from the 3 late where Nichols runs, I feel Steveler gets a TD. -
So this Grant kid looked special last night. Sayles and Rose are playing well.
-
Lapo did call a really conservative offensive game. Having said that though, Nichols didn't play well and you have to be concerned by his play.

He threw a lousy ball to Matthews, that one is on #15. Same with the throw to Woli when we needed a 1st down.Let's just say his play is not inspiring confidence. -
