Canadian Politics
The requirement that you must be a natural born US citizen goes back to when the Constitution was being written in 1787 (6 years after the War of Independence ended). The Americans had just finished a war with the British and did not want anybody born in another country to become their president. Basically a reaction to relatively current events at the time and their impact. If you know history, it makes sense. Now should it be changed since we're 230+ years in the future, yep.

So JT whose imposed a carbon tax and is Captain Environment has 2 campaign planes. Why does the media not hammer him on this? Oh wait, they're essentially Hos.

2019 CFL Season: Around the League
- Nichols out for the year
Why bring back a QB who's numbers have declined the past two seasons, will be 33 and just had a serious injury to his throwing shoulder?- Regular Season Bomber News
After the first td last week, you could see Sayles yelling at Hecht in the endzone. Glad Hecht is out of the Bomber starting wolfpack.- Canadian Politics
The problem is the current government is following the playbook of the McGinty/Wynne Liberals in Ontario who created the largest sub sovereign debt load in the world. Ontario pays over a billion a month in interest payments on their debt. The current government is also following the path that every federal government took from the mid 1960s until the mid 1990s which led to the Chretien/Martin cuts because of the poor situation our finances were in (remember they were calling the loonie the northern peso and joking that Canada had honorary third world status). Plus we've lost a ton of foreign investment the past 4 years and our productivity isn't growing. All of those are bad signs.- The Canadian Mafia
Same OC for 4 seasons and the same issues. Same DC for 5 years and the same issues. People demanding a change are flying off the handle and are irrational?- 2019 CFL Season: Around the League
I dream of a world where every employee of TSN does nothing but dump on the Riders and their fan base along with the Leafs and their fan base. I believe the sky is purple in this world.- 2019 CFL Season: Around the League
I think Calgary is the pick to win the West.- The Canadian Mafia
I think both the OC and the DC need to be let go in the off-season. MOS gets at least another year but potentially going into year 7 with only one playoff win means its legit to question how much rope he gets. I have no issues with Walters. I think Miller has done a good job overall but that he has his hands full going forward trying to rebuild the ST base and on working on ticket sales in general as there are issues with both.- Canadian Politics
I agree that partisanship isn't always a good thing and that things have gotten worse in some respects but basically politics is always partisan.- Canadian Politics
So how are you going to reverse the past 152 years of Canadian politics which have always been partisan?- GDT - Little Kitties @ Blue Bombers
I am a little hurt by the Nate reference but like the Rebus one, so I am going to take your advice and have a pint and a whisky.- GDT - Little Kitties @ Blue Bombers
I could see Miller and Walters letting MOS go and making Lapo head coach again. I mean it would likely lead to less season tickets sold and even more apathy among the fanbase but I could see it.I could also see them keeping MOS as long as he fired both Hall and Lapo. My current prediction is we bring the whole band back again and its a season like 2004.- GDT - Little Kitties @ Blue Bombers
Honestly bringing back a 33 year old Nichols after two seasons where his play dropped and coming off surgery to his throwing shoulder seems likely a recipe for another frustrating year.- GDT - Little Kitties @ Blue Bombers
I'd be curious to see a guy like Ryan Dinwiddie as our OC. He's been QB coach the past four years in Calgary and to me that's a great coaching education working with Dickenson and Huffnagel. I'd be down with bringing in Dinwiddie as OC to implement more of an offensive system like Calgary runs with Arbuckle or Evans as QB.- The Environment Thread
Couldn't resist. Sorry for being confrontational. All of that is commendable and you're clearly matching your actions with your beliefs. I'll be honest, I have a problem with those who preach enviromentalism and then still drive frequently, travel extensively etc.- The Environment Thread
So have you given up air travel? Having a personal vehicle or vehicle? How about foregoing a cellphone or a laptop? Do you only buy locally grown food? Do you have a cabin? Have you put solar panels on your roof?- The Environment Thread
I have chosen to not have children. What are the rest of you doing to fight climate change?- GDT - Little Kitties @ Blue Bombers
We've been complaining about the same things in the secondary the entire time we've had Hall and the same things on offense the entire time Lapo has been here (like going back to 2002). Both need the apple and the roadmap.- 3 stars plus hh tigerslop

I agree that Calgary and Hamilton are better, not sold that Saskatchewan is. I'd put us 2nd tier with the Riders, Montreal and Edmonton. - Nichols out for the year
