Will Streveler Be Our James Franklin?
Were there some issues, yep (passes knocked down at the line, short hopping a few passes) but 3 td passes, some nice throws, nice scrambling ability and nice job leading the comeback after being down 10-0, 17-7 and 19-7. Kid's got major upside. I mean Riderfans would be building him a statue.

Game Day Thread - League Opener: Eskies
I said when Matt Nichols went down that my hope was that we go 2-4. My hope for last night was a close game which we got. All in all my expectations were exceeded I think its just the loss after having the lead that has me down. Oh and Reilly showed why he's the MOP.

Some light reading
No proven QB? Kevin Glenn is proven and he was the Riders QB. Calvillo wasn't done in Hamilton, he was in the not done much category before going to Montreal, not the same for Collaros.

It makes me feel good at picking Wilder in TSN Fantasy Football

Game Day Thread - League Opener: Eskies
Just a random thought but what if the reigning MOP has a bad game? What will TSN talk about?

I know how Bridge performed in relief but remind me how has he done as a starter?

I think 3rd is fair, perhaps 4th. I feel the Riders are severely overrated for the reasons many of you have stated. Heck BC should feel pissed at how many people have them behind Saskatchewan. Jennings is a better QB than Collaros. Manny and Burnham are argubly the equal of Cater/Roosevelt. Better OL, Better NI talent. Better RB. Much smarter coach.

People need to look at the OL, NIs and lack of depth and realize Chris Jones is not the genius many make him out to be.

Depth Charts June 14th Bombers vs Eskimos
Believe Edmonton's RT is the one who played the ex game here and had shall we say difficulties.

I'm not worried for the Riders, I always actively root against them.

Prediction time
West Edmonton Calgary Winnipeg BC Saskatchewan I think Nichols being out hurts us and we end up third but the infamous team nobody wants to play in the playoffs. I think between QB, OL and lack of NI talent and depth, the Riders finish last and we all enjoy that. East Toronto Hamilton Ottawa Montreal

Jason Boltus would suck under any circumstance.

How many threads do you want?
I like some of the thread suggestions but also agree that some people need to stop creating a thread for any idea they have. Hello that's like tweeting photos of your breakfast every morning.

Hurl is on the Riders and we're playing Edmonton.

DI's
I suspect Medlock, Roh, Wild, Flanders. I'd like to see Medlock, Roh, Flanders, Thompkins.

Collaros behind a line with a LT and G starting for the first time has to be a cause for concern. Throw in a weak C and RT and well...

Regular Season Bomber News & Discussion
Hypothetically maybe Lapo feels Streveler and his running ability combined with Harris, Augustine and Demski gives the club an offensive look that can really exploit the Eskimos D.

So the Riders may start three NIs on the OL (Labbate/Clark/Bladek) on the OL, a DL (Evans) a Safety (Edem or MOB), a linebacker (Hurl or Judge) and then platoon a spot between Messam at RB and a receiver. Thing is all of their NI receivers have little experience (42 career receptions between Bailey, Radford and Stanford). They have no Ni depth on the OL (the three guys I named are the only 3 NI OL on the roster), JSJ is on the 6 game IR and they have 2018 5th round pick Matthieu Breton on the PR. No national RB behind Messam (They could spell him with FB Spencer Moore).

Canadian Politics
Proportional Representation leads to coalition governments. BC has an NDP government that exists due to support from 3 Green Party members. BC's premier is making many of his decisions in order to keep the support of 3 members so he can stay in power. Thus what is happening in BC is similar to proportional representation in that such systems often led to decisions being made to satisfy the demands of small fringe parties rather than the people as a whole.

Canadian Politics
Actually we don't. The mess in BC which helped led to all of us buying a pipeline is the kind of issues you get when you have PR.

Would love to know why FMB was cut. Agree with JBR on being surprised we kept so many dbs.

I have to wonder how much bonus $ Muamba+Bond+Bagg+Grant+Owens cost the Riders?

Cut Down Day - - Wild Assed Guesses (WAG System)
Well scouting better would be a start. I'd honestly have gone with one of the young challengers myself. At least there is upside. Plus honestly Lankford's returns are a product of scheme in my opinion. McDuffie was acutally 3.2 YPR better in 2016 than Lankford but magically regressed last year in Ottawa.
