  1. 5 teams have openings for water boy?
  2. I like this one. Experienced coach. Successful. Knows the Canadian game. Likely has good ties to the CIS (Helpful when it comes to building our nis).
  3. What's with Miles that he'd pass up being a DC to be a DB coach? Oh and Rider fans are douches.
  4. Depends on the cost of Tate. Guy is glass.
  5. Never, Burke is firmly in the Reinbold class.
  6. JBR, who would you want on our line in 2014 using who we have, the draft and potential free agents. Asking because you offer pretty good insights on the position.
  7. Miles would be my pick. Already have an uninspiring choice as DC.
  8. shocked
  9. Like this move. Sadly think it'll be feb before we know about Henoc.
  10. Glad he's gone.
  11. I like Troy Smith. As for Hamilton picking up Collaros, why? If they dump Burris, wouldn't they go with Lefevaour? If they do, would anybody else take Burris with Wiley?
  12. Nice move by the front office.
  13. Sucks but Miles would be ok imo.
  14. Nichols has been too injury prone in his short time in the CFL.
  15. I don't like the hire any more than you do, I just don't think Montreal is the best representation of his work. I'd be more hesitant to buy in thanks to his average results in Hamilton. That's a good point. I wasn't impressed with his offenses in any of his 3 stops.
  16. Mike, I guess why I'm harping on Montreal and Marcel is people here saying don't judge him on last year and to me he didn't do well with some pretty good talent (although as you say, they did lack a running game and the OL was awful). But I think I'm going to stop. Wish they had hired somebody else but he's here so will hope for the best.
  17. Jacquie, bad or not, Flory is a better OL than anybody on our roster. My point is that despite having a hall of fame QB, a hall of fame sb, a hall of fame OG, a wr who had multiple 1000 yard seasons and a running back who had over a 1000 yards, Marcel had an offense that scored the second fewest points in the CFL. Remember how bad he made A.C. look in 07? He made a QB who was able to make three straight grey cup games, a qb who won 2 grey cups, who still had 2 MOP seasons look done.
  18. As has been pointed out, MB was OC in Montreal in 2007 - the year AC left the team to be with his wife while she was battling cancer and the year they had Charlie Carpenter as oline coach and the Als oline gave up the most sacks by far (65). A.C. played in over two thirds of the game that year (13). That OL had among other perenial all-star and potential hall of famer Scott Flory. A.C., Cahoon, Watkins, Edwards, Flory is a pretty good base of talent to work with. So you base his worth as an OC only based on being 7th in scoring, but choose to ignore the other facts. That's weak! Weak? his offense couldn't score with a hall of fame QB, hall of fame slotback, a perenial 1000 yard receiver and an OL that almost always an all-star and a likely hall of famer. Who gives a rat ass how many yards his offense got or that he had the rb with the most tds? Goal of an offense is to score points.
  19. Penton was one of the Sun Writers last year who didn't know the NI rule, specifically that an Aussie (Bartel) is a NI, so I take what he says with a grain of salt. That said, he is correct right now that Ottawa is better at QB than us, debatable at NI.
  20. Morley is a good contingency plan. Can always hope we land somebody better in free agency or the draft.

  22. After leaving Saskatchewan, Bellefeuille joined the Montreal Alouettes in 2006 as their running backs and wide receivers coach.[2] In 2007 he was promoted to Offensive Coordinator and running backs coach. In his 1st season in Montreal, he helped Robert Edwards lead the CFL in touchdowns with 17.[2] Bellefeuille also helped the Alouettes be the only team with two 1,000 yard receivers in Kerry Watkins and Ben Cahoon.[2] That team was 7th in points scored.
  23. Never had an offense better than 4th in points scored. In Montreal he has A.C., Cahoon, Watkins, Robert Edwards and a great OL and was 7th in points scored. Forget last year, his track record speaks for itself.
