So Jake Thomas/A 2014 draft pick taking snaps at DT perhaps sharing a spot, with a mix of Labbe in a 3/4 front, Sherman as a dime versus playing say Neufeld at RT, Greaves at G, Swiston or Pencer at G and Sorenson or another NI at C?

3 OL, 2 receivers/tight end/running back, 3-4 guys rotating between 2 spots (DL, LB and DB) on defence. IMO we'd be stretching to claim that we have 3 starting quality NI OL now, so we need to do some work/development just to fill 3 spots, forget 4. Quantity does not equal quality. We can add every halfway decent NI OL prospect from around the league, doesn't mean we can build a OL out of them. Makes sense. Not sure we have the DB or DL right now though.

So JBR, looking at who's here and potentially available, how do you manage the ratio in 2014?

I'd protect Pencer and Swiston over Poblah. That makes no sense. Ditto not protecting MSW. Penton seemed uniformed in his article. JBR, would you use 4 NI on the OL with upgrades in free agency and the draft?

We played Wallace Miles two weeks ago, could have played MSW. Edwards has been banged up, could have sat him and played MSW. Kelly has been a bright spot but could have sat him a game.

Impressed by Sims Walker but again to piss on the coaching staff, it took till now for him to be ready?

Would love an explanation for Marsh over Collaros as I don't see it. Smith is intriguing but too small a sample size. We also need to upgrade the QBs on our protected list as the ones mentioned most recently weren't too exciting.

Don't understand why a fullback would be one of the six protected.

Given the mess the club is in, how do you justify hiring an inexperienced GM? Need to hire somebody with experience such as Higgins or an AGM with several years experience such as McEvoy in B.C. Then you need a quality coaching staff.

I do agree we need somebody experienced, Atomic, am curious your opinion of Higgins? Mine is hire Higgins as GM and coach if he wants to coach too, if not let him hire who he wants as coach and hire a quality staff.

Hall was rushing almost every throw as on almost every throwing play there was a free Alouette coming at him unblocked. I know that this may have been "designed" - but to just let a guy run at our QB unblocked on almost every play? Really? I'm sure glad Morley is back. At least he's our best OL at celebrating after scores. That's got to be the first thing you look at when scouting.

Collaros due to youth and potential. Would love to get a guy who could be the answer for 7-10 years. If we can't get Collaros, Burris would be an ok stop gap for a year or two.

It will help but we need a competent QB too. We have at best a competent backup in Hall.
