Go Ottawa and Go Crum (I need the points for CFL Fantasy). -
Let's say 20,000 in attendance per game at an average ticket price of $25. That's $500,000 in ticket revenue per game. Let's say each team plays two less games, so that is 18 games or 9 million in lost ticket revenue or 1 million per team. The contract with TSN is for about 43 million but if you reduce the number of games, you're looking at a reduction there. At that price, each game is worth $500,000 or again another 9 million. So we're at a loss of 18 million before you get into concessions. I don't see how you make that revenue up.

Its a good night out. Pretty good basketball, excellent atmosphere. I wish NBA teams still did what they did up until the late 80s/early 90s, play a few home games at a neutral site. Not sure we'd support an NBA team for 41 games but 2-3 games would sell out for sure.

Go Argos. Always root for the eastern team v the western club.
-
Lawler on the pre game talked about his amazing catch versus Edmonton and how everybody was like hurry up and he was like naw Jones ain't going to challenge cause he's seen me do that day in and day out. Reminds me of the saying its not bragging if you can back it up.

Thinking about how great our wrs looked last night and barring injury it seems likely that we'll have three 1000 yards receivers this year, with Woli cracking 700-800 yards as well. Impressive. Don't think we've had three since Milt, Edwards and Armstrong in 07.

@Noeller speaking the truth here. Not just because his sums up how I feel.
-
On the returner issue, heck Derek Taylor mentioned it a few times on the post game. As to the only dressing 6 DL, Doug Brown mentions it every game as an issue. Its not just some of us Dorito eating, Super fans typing away at our keyboards.

On the DLine arguement, in the Grey Cup last year, Jeffcoat went out and Kelly had a 20 yard run that helped cost us a threepeat.
-
Happy we won and even happier that we kicked BC's ass.
-
Let's get two more touchdowns
-
Let's keep it going.

Schoen. Already better than last time
-
I've gone from expecting to win every game to feeling like we have a great shot at winning most games. I have the same worries about the OL and the lack of DL depth.
-
As @Boochsaid Jackson coming in just takes a playmaker out. A poster on another site had Jackson in for 11 out of 56 offensive plays against Edmonton. I'll say it again a waste of a spot for a guy to play 20% of your offensive snaps as an extra blocker and on teams.
-
Technically Kelly's backup hasn't shown himself to be a non contributor but I think you make an excellent point.
-
He might be better. He could come out and sing Kissed By A Rose and while BC's D was like WTF, Zach could complete a bomb down the field for a TD.
-
So looking at the official team site and people arguing that The Seal will help us with blocking. He was on the roster for the first BC game and he didn't help.

CFL - 2023 Regular Season - Discussion Thread
rebusrankin replied to JCon's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
All this move would do is lead to more punting, less excitement and less offense. It takes about 2 minutes to realize this. Clown Proposal, Bro. -
I get MOS's trust in the Oline and not making changes (I would but I get his rationale). I don't see why we keep using Jackson as a DA when it could be used on the Dline or Secondary. I don't understand only dressing 6 Dlinemen when most teams go 7-9 and your team has had great success doing that. I don't get the love for Kramdi. If Darby has lost his job, then why not use Parker instead?
-
Why the **** do we have Jackson on as a DA if Burtenshaw is back? A back up fullback who uses a spot that could be a DB (Parker) or a DT (Fox).
