  1. I obviously agree with you but the fact remains that it a fool's errand to consider it as an option. For better or for worse, O'Shea will essentially never pull his starting QB. It is what it is.
  2. I would feel a lot more comfortable with Lucky being the extra receiver as well, though Lapo has shown that he historically does not like to sub in his backup receivers without an injury. I love having the sweep to him as a decoy option to open things up a bit but his actual skill as a receiver is extremely unpolished and I'd prefer to have a receiver in that spot who is a more reliable target. Putting Wolitarsky in the slot seems almost too perfect to me and I'm not sure why it hasn't been explored to a greater extent. Still, Lucky has exceeded my expectations mostly because he's just too fast and too shifty to be ineffective.
  3. Harris had one great run today. He is not at fault for the loss or his usage, but his lack of speed left a lot of yards on the table today.
  4. Jeffcoat is also a much, much more complete and better player than Jefferson at this point in time.
  5. Not arguing that he hasn’t been. Are you saying he hasn’t looked slower than years past? That’s what we’re discussing.
  6. I’m perfectly relaxed. Even non speed guys need to outrun defensive linemen in space.
  7. He can still run through contact but he gets caught from behind way earlier than he ever hand. Was bound to happen eventually.
  8. Yes. Literally all the points they have since Evans entered the game are off brutal turnovers.
  9. Lawler and Whitehead seem to be doing just fine to me.
  10. You’re way, way off. Let’s just take a couple of examples here. Jeff Hecht is 34 years old and never been more than a spot starter in the CFL. When he has started at safety up until this season, he’s been largely terrible. Good for him for playing well as a starter for five games but no one would be wrong for assuming he would be a disaster in that spot. Anthony Gaitor was run out of B.C. after two very poor seasons. Perhaps he found his calling playing SAM, but he was objectively bad in the secondary for those seasons in BC. There is absolutely nothing wrong with both expressing concern or stating an opinion based on a player’s previous level of play. And for every Hecht and Gaitor, there are multiple examples of previous poor play continuing, or a player being a poor fit on this team. Bowman comes to mind immediately. As does L’Damien Washington, Corey Washington and Kenbrell Thompkins. There are also numerous examples of the exact opposite. Players that are unheralded or rookies that certain people suggest will surprise in a positive way, even with very limited on-field play to go on. JSK, Steven Richardson, Wolitarsky, Alexander and Jeffcoat when they were rookies. But I guess as long as it’s making a call that someone will be good rather than bad is okay because that has a positive spin.
  11. And even if Rose has been amazing for us this season, he was victimized countless times in 2018.
  12. Do you want me to go through all the times I was right? This goes both ways. This is a message board. I call it as I see it and sometimes I’m right, sometimes I’m wrong. At least I own up to mistakes.
  13. If Edmonton is truly the second best team in the CFL, the state of the league outside the Bombers is pathetic.
  14. They also have a significant lack of talent.
  15. Rod Black insisting that Vernon Adams is the guy “they” call VA. I’m not sure who “they” are but pretty sure it’s just Rod.
  16. I don't love to say I told you so. I want the team to succeed. I didn't think they could win with Nichols based on his historic level of play. We still haven't won anything yet but like I said, I'm happy the team is where it is right now. What else am I supposed to say?
  17. I always said I'd be happy to be proven wrong. So far, he's been great. Hope it continues all year.
