Firing. Joe Mack isn’t perfect but massive step up from Kavis.

That’s true but then the question becomes, what do you have to gain by keeping in your starters? There was absolutely no chance that Toronto was scoring 30 points in the second half. The world knew it. If you’re going to call mainly screens and runs up the gut, what possible benefit is there to keep Nichols and Harris in the game. Hell, take Adams out too. Even an INT and a fumble or two isn’t costing you the game at that point. The other viewpoint is, at the end of the day football is entertainment. A win is more important that being throughly entertained for the full 60 minutes but killing the last 30 minutes with ugly playcalling doesn’t make for the most interesting viewing experience.

I generally like Alexander more than Fenner but I thought Alexander was far weaker than Fenner this game.

It’s the same thing that happened to Streveler against Ottawa that lead some to the conclusion that he played poorly. Both these guys are at the mercy of Lapo. He destroyed any flow in the offence after halftime.

Nichols was good. Some days the passing yards tell the story. Today is not one of those days.

All things considered, it’s pretty amazing that the Argos could have close to 500 yards of offence and the Bombers could score only 11 points in the second half and the Argos still lose by 27. It feels like it will take a series of miracles for them to win a game.

I agree, don’t get me wrong. But it would be nice to see a game where they don’t heavily take their foot off the gas. This team will win a ton of games and Lapo isn’t going to change so it is what it is but it can be frustrating.

Second half was pretty bad but that’s not on the players.

Some combo of Nelson, Jeffcoat, Nichols and Whitehead.

Regardless of the issues with playcalling with a lead, we’re lucky to have a team this good.

Lapo is getting way too cute.

Derel Walker is one of, if not the best receiver in the league. He makes a lot of DBs look bad.

I’d like to see Dondre Wright at safety.

Our punt cover team is beyond elite.

I’m saying it’s not the right call. What is there to possibly gain from this? Lead is insurmountable , Nichols was shaken up once already and the backup could use reps.

Fair enough. My feelings about Nichols in the past have been abundantly clear so I’m trying to dial it back. He’s been very good today.

Regardless of how you feel about Nichols, putting him back into this game is not the right call.

I’ve said two things about Nichols today, both positive. You have to chill.
