  1. Um, ok. There really isn’t a nice way to tell you how ridiculous this thought is so I will say only this. Was Peyton Manning merely a good QB during the seasons the colts missed the playoffs? He must have only been great during the seasons they made the playoffs. Dan Marino never won a Super Bowl. I guess he was never great either. Football is a team sport. Many great players play on bad teams. The Eskimo defence was laughably terrible last season, I guess that’s Mike Reilly’s fault too. Reilly completed 67% of his passes for 5500 yards and 30 TDs in a down year for him but because his team missed the playoffs and Nichols’ and Collaros’ teams made it that somehow makes him not great? Give me a break. If you throw for nearly 400 yards and two TDs and complete over 80% of your passes and still lose, maybe look at another part of the team for blame.
  2. He has two MOPs. You can argue with me on my stance on Nichols, or about any topic really. This is a free forum. But are you suggesting that Reilly isn’t one of the truly great players in this league and hasn’t been for some time?
  3. Which of those QBs that I mentioned are even remotely good?
  4. He’s been great in preseason too. Look, the guy is good and there are a lot of known bad QBs in the league. You don’t need to be amazing to be better than Jennings, Franklin, Adams, Pipkin, Collaros etc
  5. You can like me again when Nichols is gone, I guess. See you then.
  6. You have to start somewhere. The guy hasn’t come from nowhere. He’s impressive every time he plays.
  7. Keep talking. You’re really impressing everyone.
  8. The defence is great, but even the best defences in league history will generally allow at least one TD a game. Especially given the starting field position Edmonton had for much of the second half.
  9. Arbuckle is legit. He will be a good starter in this league someday. He’s honestly probably already the fifth best QB in the league.
  10. I think we all collectively vastly overrated Bryan Burnham.
  11. He can still catch but the guy can hardly move anymore. Begelton is the only real threat in this receiving group.
  12. It can’t be said enough how depressing it is that we legitimately found Paredes but he was brought in with absolutely no chance of making the team because the team was set at kicker with Justin freaking Palardy.
  13. Ambles is very unimpressive. This team misses Jorden big time.
  14. The amazing thing is that Black/Forde is so unbelievably bad, that we actually collectively yearn for a Suitor game. Cuthbert is terrific, though.
  15. It’s a smart call. You have to execute.
  16. Lol. Utter incompetence from BC. They ain’t winning now.
  17. Their biggest lead in the first few games was 8 points and that was in the first quarter against Edmonton so yes it pretty much would be the first time.
  18. No matter how many times you say “he took a peek”, it doesn’t make it true Suitor, you idiot.
  19. Yeah, he was good in that game too. My mistake. You’re right that he only started to play well when the game was largely out of hand, but I’ll give him that one.
  20. That ball was laughably uncatchable. That’s a joke call.
  21. Yup. And it was literally the one good playoff game he’s had in his career.
  22. I mean, you’re spouting cliches and not really saying anything but sure. I’m not sure how you can argue against the fact that when you’re outgained, outpossessed and lose the turnover battle by two and still win that you were the beneficiary of a lot of good fortune.
  23. Absolutely agreed that the team was bad. But it’s often made out that he was the main bright spot in that dismal season when he was average at best, made to look better by following the shell of Drew Willy.
