The country music into every commercial break is painful.

Davis missed a WIDE open guy in the flat. Pocket awareness is an issue.
-
That’s a fair point that everything Ambrosie does seems to be rushed and half baked. Still, there are plenty of crappy male refs in this league.
-
Crappy call but what does her gender matter?
-
Yup, I think Dom Davis is going to be just fine...
-
This was in reference to iHeart, but no. Ehlers is not at peak value and thus at his contract is far more valuable as a player for this team, as literally the only forward who can cross the opponent’s blueline with possession, than whatever return he would get. Trading him is asinine.
-
Ah, so only trade people when they have no value. Got it.
-
I don't think it will happen, but I will go to my grace certain that it's the right call. There are many reasons to be significantly concerned about the future of this team with Wheeler and Byfuglien at the tail end of their effectiveness and no one who can specifically replace what either of them do. This is a winger heavy team, with almost all of their high end prospects also being wingers. Not exactly a recipe for long term success. As far as the Wheeler issue goes, of course we can't say for sure what he will be over the next few years. It's just hard to not sound the alarm after seeing his play in the last half of last season considering his age. I recognize that the nature of professional sport is you pay a player for their past performance rather than what they will contribute in the future but it doesn't make it particularly intelligent.
-
I'd take that bet.
-
Everyone else isn't making 8.25 million until they're 38 years old, which is ultimately the crux of the issue.
-
I really don't see a lot of good things coming from a 34-year old Cory Greenwood as a middle linebacker. He very much was a very good player when healthy. He very much is not now.
-
His numbers are vastly inflated by his (still very good) PP production. But his scoring and level of play significantly dipped by the end of the season. He will be 34 next season and his defence, which was never particularly good, became laughably bad by the end of last season. Forgive me if I don't want to pay a premium for whatever he becomes at age 34-38.
-
Let's call him Blake W. No, no that's too obvious. B. Wheeler. But it's only 8.25 mil. My bad.
-
Trading one of their best contracts due to cap issues seems like a extremely, mind-numbingly stupid idea but what do I know? Maybe trading the declining guy signed for 9 mil until he's 38 is a better option.

The Bombers personnel on offence without Matthews is good, not great. The difference between these two teams is on defence, where the Bombers arguably have the best personnel in the league and the Lions have arguably the worst. But Reilly can be the great equalizer.
-
"You can make a case that Reilly is better than Nichols" is the biggest understatement ever uttered on the internet.
-
Another thing is, there's a lot of hype around Boyko but while the talent is there, the guy couldn't even crack the starting lineup in the AAF. He may end up being really good, but the hype around him doesn't match the production.
-
Maleki Harris is really good. The rest, UGLY.
-
Lions' secondary is good, but so is the Als and you saw what happened to them without a pass rush. Also, Herdman will be a disaster in the middle of that defence.
-
No kidding. Durant gets so much hype for his talent but he hardly did a thing with multiple opportunities in Calgary. Carter is a mediocre import, turned into a star by TSN because of his father and his personality. Burnham is really good, but he's really the only guy to worry about. Shaq Johnson is fine, but won't burn any team and the last guy is a Canadian making his first career start. This Lions team is Reilly. Plain and simple.
-
Pipkin?? Come on.
-
When two bad teams play each other, the wrong conclusion to draw is they both may end up being okay.
-
The Esks top three receivers include Kenny Stafford and Ricky Collins on his fifth(!) team. And the Als let these two bums shred them.
-
That’s pretty good positioning for Loffler.
